Boulangerie Bon Matin in Islington

I had the vegetarian breakfast with scrambled eggs and they were tremendous. Shout out to the Chef (I think his name is Leo) for looking after me

We had an awful experience with a member of staff, she firstly greeted us with an incredibly cold and rude attitude, and then we were handed the wrong smoothie because she handed it to us and just said "smoothie" so how are we supposed to know they got it wrong? So my friend sipped it and realised it wasn't the one she ordered and very politely asked if it was the correct one. The same member of staff very rudely snapped at my friend and said it's obviously not the correct smoothie because the colour is different (as if we are supposed to know that??) especially when it's your job to hand out an incorrect order. She did not even apologise, and kept rolling her eyes at us - this attitude was absolutely rude, childish and uncalled for. Instead of letting us keep the smoothie because it's obviously going in the bin anyway, the lady demands to have it back and put it on the counter and kept glaring at us. I get she could be having a bad day but it's immature to take this out on your paying customers - especially when it was HER mistake in the first place, yet she blamed the mistake on my friend making her feel bad. She was so condescending and petty for wasting that drink and we definitely won't be returning ever again. If a higher member of staff acts this way, it really sets an example for what the other members of staff are learning. I didn't catch the lady's name but she was in a white shirt and glasses, seemingly some sort of manager which sets an embarrassing example for this store. Shame as the food seemed alright, but the experience begins with the atmosphere and it was miserable in here. Won't be returning.

One of my favourite places! Such a great spot for breakfast/brunch with friends or if you want to get some work done with a coffee. The interior is lovely and the staff are wonderful! Highly recommend :)

On the Saturday we popped in for a drink and a look. Today we came for Lunch. A lovely atmosphere with georgeous decor. (And the music choices) Love the 'Zillage' tiles on the floor. Our various rolls were stuffed with exciting flavours and ingredients - creative and lovely! The Seating area is bright and relaxing. A choice of numerous interesting pastries.

Such a great find. The cakes and pastries are works of art. We had a delicious breakfast while sitting outside in the sun. The service was excellent. Highly recommended a visit here.

I’ve had coffee here before and it’s so delicious today we came for breakfast. Eggs Benedict - absolutely fabulous. Really friendly helpful staff. If only I lived closer ! Well worth a visit

🐟Salmon with sweet potato and cauliflower 🧀Mozzarella and red pesto brioche bun 🍰Lemon and poppyseed cake We sadly just missed brunch, however, our lunch was very tasty. Full of flavour and all-round pleasant visit. The cafe is located in a cute alleyway just off the main high street, worth checking out. I invited my friend to have lunch with me We really enjoyed, the food was delicious The girl who served us was so kind . Later on we had tea with a mouthwatering cake, we loved it

Rude staff, on entry no announcement on the door to say there are allowed only 3 people inside, two ladies behind the counter, one comes to me giving me a three fingers sign saying mound “only three people inside” Came back to tell them there is no announcement on the door to make it clear that only 3 prole are allowed inside, and also made it clear that she was rude to me the way she chose to tell me I’m not allowed inside because of gov. Guidance Both behind counter did not bother to apologise, both agree being not rude

I love everything about Boulangerie Bon Matin, there havr such a beautiful array of fresh cakes, pastries and savoury food, all freshly prepared in store, everything is clearly prepared and served with love!! I’ve had breakfast in the cafe ( seriously recommend the smashed avocado and poached eggs, the best!!)and had take away and always loved the service and quality. Such a lovely place to either eat in or grab a takeaway, great fresh coffee and they also sell lots of nice teas and soft drinks, I would definitely recommend them and their branch in Flask Walk, NW3 1HJ is equally charming!

Love this place. All the food is fresh and the pastries and cakes are to die for. The croissants are just the right kind of fluffy esp my fave the almond croissant. Daily quiches & the crepes are both delicious

Un large choix de sucré et de salé pour bien démarrer la journée. Les viennoiseries sont excellentes et les plats salés très bien présentés. Service agréable et relativement rapide.

Cool place with good food and coffee. Only thing I didnt like it s the hot air inside .. no ventilation or any small window open for some fresh air ...

We came upon this superb vegetarian cafe by chance. The title of this review says it all. the staff were very welcoming, the food superb, the ambience lovely. We even bought food for a takeaway!
