An absolutely cracking wee chip shop, hard to find and not much to look at but an absolute gem. We had haddock and chips and everything was cooked to perfection, no fuss, no nonsense just proper fish n chips and good portions. It's getting harder and harder to find a decent fish and chip shop and this wee place is well worth a visit if you appreciate a good fish supper.

Not local to me but had to post something at the post office... and they are in the same place. A portion of Portavogie scampi for just £2.29 yes that is what I paid! Delicious and great value. No brainer really.

I am a regular customer and I will say its the best chippy in the town. Best pastie by far. Recently though my take away experience has been very much hit and miss. More misses than hits. £4.40 for a large chip. Most visits the chips have been piled high, good value for money. Last few weeks though they have just about covered the level of the white trays they come in. You could nearly count the chips on your hands. Tonight it was just after 9 when I went. Chips were disgusting, looked like they had been there from lunchtime. Come on Lynn's this can be a lot better.

Called in to Millars today on way home with my wife. We ordered a cheeseburger, fish goujons and a large chip. Got home and opened and I have to say the amount of chips we got was probably the smallest portion of chips I have ever had from any chip shop. To be honest it was disgraceful. Of the fish goujons my wife got at least two were completely inedible. They smelled and tasted off. The burger was also nothing special and quite basic. We were both very disappointed as we had heard good things of this chippy but we will definitely not be back.

It’s food for drunks - grim. Honestly it’s a greasy spoon. £13 for a seniors cod & chips and a portion of French fried onions. The piece of cod was generous and fresh - a beautiful piece of fish ruined by couldn’t care less owners. The fish batter was soggy within a few minutes. The chips too were an ungenerous portion, greasy and unpleasant. Here too nothing wrong with the potatoes but again badly cooked. The smell of grease hangs in the air and fills the nostrils. The French fried onion batter was solid not light nor crispy. Really if you are nearby don’t stop. The welcome isn’t friendly. There aren’t any prices on display and they only take cash. I didn’t know on entry and was told the fish & chips were £7 but I had to go to the car for cash and on return 5 minutes later it was £10, the French fried onions were £3.
