The best restaurants serving Fast food food in County Durham North East

Recently moved back to the area and have been here 3 times. This place really is superb and deserves every 5 star review it gets. Freshly cooked fish and great chips and cooked while you wait or by phone order. Sets a very high standard, hence the queues and the phone that never stops ringing. We love it - a real treat.

Great pies would highly recommend you try these youl not go any way else 👍 mince pie and steak pies full of meat no complaints

The best pizza and chicken in Chester le street. The staff are great and service top notch. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Very busy Friday night around 6 to 7 when I visited. I recommend ordering in advance. Slow service but everything was cooked fresh. Price was reasonable. My only issue was the fish was very greasy.

I went and got two chicken wraps, and one of the woman workers there. When this woman was preparing the second wrap I ordered, chicken wrap with salad and chilly, I saw her ate one of the bits of chicken from the wrap and ate it while she was preparing it.. It's fkin disgusting how she could do that. She did it multiple times to other customers as well I'm sure of it. She should be fired.

Still the best takeaway in County Durham and possibly the uk 🇬🇧, old school all the way , you can’t ask for more really . Best

Pre-booked with a group of 12 for a Friday evening. Arrived on time and shown promptly to our cosy tables upstairs. Lovely looking menu. First order, haddock and chips please (not unusual for such a venue) and told no haddock left, sold out! Oh. Ordered cod, there were several other good options on the menu. One offer is salad, chips, or half and half. Oh dear, salad sold out. Never mind. Meals all arrived in timely manner, all were very good. Home made tartare sauce excellent, but could have been more generous.

We always call in here when in Durham as i hate prepackaged sandwiches. Fresh and tasty. Husband recommends the New Yorker.

1ST Kebab, was full and lush 2nd one was a lot less amount and 3rd one tonight was terrible,she put a table spoon of salad red and white cabbage and 2 small halves of cucumber on it.what a greedy woman she is. i won't return i've given them a few chances to be fair with the customer. i asked her if she could mange a bit more salad, she replied i would have to charge you a £1 for it. I came home ate the tiny kebab which cost me £7.40p and had to order food from somewhere else as i was still very hungry after eating the measly little kebab.Get your act together GOLDEN FRY.

Food was cold and the pizza bread was not toasted must just took it out of the packet, would not order agin

Best thing about Subway is that you can create your own or what you fancy. I had the vegan 12" & my hubby had the Tuna 6". Gets quite busy in this shop at lunchtime. Both sandwiches only was £12.60

It was our yearly pilgrimage to Frosterly 18 miles for fish and chips . Can honestly say they are the best around .

Im a regular customer of this fabulous tea room. The staff are really friendly. Food is amazing as ive basically had all on menu. No complaints. Fair priced also.

What a fantastic idea - choosing a chocolate bar to go into a milkshake! Deliciously naughty and on our 'to do' list when ever we visit Barnard Castle. Really friendly staff who explain what you can have, etc..
