The Golden Fry in County Durham

1ST Kebab, was full and lush 2nd one was a lot less amount and 3rd one tonight was terrible,she put a table spoon of salad red and white cabbage and 2 small halves of cucumber on it.what a greedy woman she is. i won't return i've given them a few chances to be fair with the customer. i asked her if she could mange a bit more salad, she replied i would have to charge you a £1 for it. I came home ate the tiny kebab which cost me £7.40p and had to order food from somewhere else as i was still very hungry after eating the measly little kebab.Get your act together GOLDEN FRY.

All ways used this chippy never had any complaints,(until tonight) I'm sorry to say that the chips were rather rubbery dry and cold which in a way spoilt our tea I hope this is just a one off.apart from that it is still a very good chippy

Very helpful, friendly staff, ordered 30 x pizzas for work all were made for the correct pick up time, no waiting around and staff even carried them all to the car for us, everyone had the correct pizza they ordered plus a few freebies thrown in. Highly recommend.

Just been to the chippy excellent fish n chips chips are nice and chunky and home made not this bloody frozen stuff,just one hicup not happy with bloody CHARGED ME 10p for a skimpy bit batter bearing in mind it's just scraps anyway so be warned DON'T buy the batter

The fish is cooked as you ask for it so it's fresh and he gets the batter just right so it's lovely and crispy well done

Over the years - I've come to see this chip-shop as reliable in the consistency of their fish and chips. Sometimes you get chips not as you'd like from your local chip shop; and the fish sometimes doesn't come out as fresh as you'd prefer. Not so with Golden Fry. Of course - they will make mistakes in their quality - but so far - I have not encountered those. So - even though I will try other chips shops now and then - I like supporting this one.

Fish that hangs over the plate both ends good old fashioned chips chunky and the kebab is lovely ,chillie sauce blows your head off all in all one hell of a Chippy

I was so looking forward to some fabulous fish and chips after being away in Spain and being served processed frozen fish.I was definitely not disappointed here.Fish is amazing,so fresh and tasty.Everything was cooked to perfection and the oils used were obviously just right . 100% recommend.The owners should be proud.

This is my favourite chippy in the Stanley area. Definately recommend the chicken tikka kebab, its lush.

Quite often order from here and find the service and food really good. The food is always hot and pretty much made to order. I particularly like the pizzas and the jumbo sausage with chips. Reasonably priced too!

Great fish n chips good portions, lunchtime special of kebab meat chips n curry sauce for £2.50 can't be beaten. Staff always friendly and very clean too

OMG just ordered fish and chips when it arrived the fish was so big it didn't fit on the plate. We could have fed the whole street with the amount we received. Keep up the good work
