The best restaurants in Moreton-in-Marsh Cotswold South West

My wife, my niece and I went last night. Neither storm Darragh nor the tree halfway across the road in Bourton on the Hill could stop us visiting this favourite of ours. As ever you were greeted warmly by Nick and shown to our table. We went with wine pairing, which I’d really recommend as Nick and Darren’s choices are always perfectly matched. In particular some wonderfully sourced local wines. The food was , as always, exemplary and a real joy . Taking you on an undulating pleasure ride of the senses. We were lucky to get a table, thankfully their well deserved reputation is spreading and getting table in December proved to be tricky . That said though popular the atmosphere is calm, relaxed and warm. If you haven’t been, then and you’re in the area, I’d recommend booking a table for the New Year soon.

I stayed two nights. Its owner, Jean, with an unstable character and dishonest personality, made our stay a real suffering. He was unhelpful (he didn't want to give us information about means of transportation), bad disposition as a host (she didn't want to acclimatize the room), he is a person who lacks the truth in his opinions. Not recommended. Save yourself problems. I will not come back .

Good menu range. Limited cakes available which was disappointing as I’d seen good reviews and photos online. We each had a 7 item breakfast which was good. The pricing was a little higher than I’d expected for what we got but this is a little place and I imagine the overheads are high so we were happy to pay it. Parking must be a nightmare in busy days, very limited, but we went early and were lucky. Our accommodation was literally 2 mins drive from the cafe so it made it a sensible choice. Staff were friendly and food was delivered quickly.

Such a hidden gem! Food was amazing and the service is incredible, really nice atmosphere. Have came here before and each time is just as good. The new menu is amazing. Will definitely be back again!

Beautiful & cozy coffee shop embracing all the Cotswolds cozy lifestyle. It was very welcoming & felt like a place where time itself slows down. Delicious oat milk latte & scones! Very laid back & wonderful vibes.

Popped in for brunch on 17th February. Almost everything was available as a gluten free option, which is excellent in itself. It was very busy but the staff took the time to genuinely help and care about the experience. Pricing was good and quality excellent.

What a delightful surprise to stumble upon this fabulous pub/restaurant during an impromptu dinner in one of our favourite Cotswold towns! The staff here are simply wonderful—friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and always ready to help. They really made us feel looked after. The food was delicious and fresh, and the ambiance was just right for a relaxing evening. Overall, I can’t recommend this place highly enough—definitely a solid 10 out of 10 gold stars! A special shoutout to Lianne, who truly exemplifies outstanding customer service. Thanks to the whole team for a memorable evening—we’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful building, great menu, loved it!

I visited Rixy's with a friend on a chilly December afternoon to warm up and indulge in a treat. What a treat it was! So glad we picked Rixy's, the cream tea I had was the best I've ever had and I purchased a couple of the homemade cakes to take away. I would definitely recommend and return.

The fact Hassans isn’t #1 is incredible. The food and service there was impeccable and nothing too much trouble. If you aren’t close to Moreton then a trip is 100% worth it. Both a fantastic menu and a good selection of drinks, it’s the perfect place for a date night or for a big meal out. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable, we will be back!

Called in for Lunchtime Tapas as they are dog friendly it was a fantastic experience I had Coconut rice , Pork dumplings , Salt & Pepper Squid & Wok Stir-fry Ginger Prawn my Wife had the set Menu Bangkok Set consisting of Hone Duck , Stir-fry fried Cashew with Chicken Spring Rolls & Jasmine rice we also had a really nice bottle of wine all for GBP 67.00 Every bit of the meals were Excellent really tasty & cooked fresh & quick amazing service cannot wait to go again We were also provided with a bowl of water for our little dog Roxy fabulous experience

Wow what a fantastic place! Very warm welcome and attentive service, excellent food. We had a superb breakfast and will definitely visit again when we are in the area.

Delicious food and friendly service. Ordered the family meal and was blown away by value for money.
