Absolutely gorgeous dinner here, would recommend the lamb shank massman curry it was perfect!

We're very lucky to have such a great Thai restaurant within a short driving distance. Food is lovely, staff are very friendly. In fact, just about to put in another order for tonight!

Based purely on lots of recommendations to visit, I took my family here for supper. Straight away, we loved the setting; intimate, friendly, inviting. The staff were amazing and put us all at ease immediately, helping us navigate the best choice for each of us (one of us is a bit of a fussy eater!) from the delicious menu. The presentation of the dishes as they were brought through made us want to get started immediately! We left with full tummies and great memories. Thanks to all of the staff, both in and out of the kitchen for a really brilliant experience - we'll be back!

This was the first time since I have returned from Thailand that I got to enjoy the cuisine again and I cannot stress enough how much of a pleasure it was. The food was delicious, fresh and hot. The service was charming, I felt well looked after and listened to. I live in London but grew up a couple of villages away. I will absolutely be returning with more mouths to feed!

Lovely little restaurant. I normally don't go out to eat but I was recommended this place by a friend and wow! It was stunning, food was delicious, and the staff were lovely. I was served by a lovely lady called Namaoy, and a lovely young chap called Matt. The area is lovely too and definitely worth the visit if you are travelling.

Can’t fault this restaurant! The food is beautiful and so well presented, our waiter Matt was amazing! He was so attentive and knew what he was talking about, will definitely recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be coming back!

One of the worst restaurants we have ever been. Grubby little place with terrible food and service and not very clean. Tables so close together they are hard to get to, and extremely loud, so could not converse.

great thai restaurant in Moreton had a lovely waitress named Imogen who was so kind and helped us decide what to choose and had great recommendations food was great we were the last table left for the night and they let us stay as long as we wanted :) had a really great time! only downside was it felt a bit hot and stuffy for us inside, not used to the extreme heating inside places:) other than that- pefrfect!

Beautiful cooked fresh food , service was friendly and prompt and hot when it arrived. We had the sweetcorn fritters to start with pork and chicken skewers with dips and salad. I had the chicken green curry which was presented beautifully. Haven't had food like this in a restaurant in many a year. With drinks our food totalled £74. Highly recommended.

Amazing Thai restaurant with extremely friendly staff. The mixed starter / platter to share is the way to go. Massaman curry and Thai red also v good. Great value for money too. We will be back!

The food here is pretty good. Love my pad Thai, but Tom Yum is a bit too spicy:/. Anyways, Matthew, our waiter is perfect, very helpful :)

As an Asian, this is the only good food in Moreton in Marsh. Others were very bland and I’m glad to find this one! A downside is they raise their price around 25% more if you dine in. Nevertheless, really cosy place and lovely staff!

The restaurant was brilliant, super cosy and welcoming. The food was amazing, great price too! Salt and pepper squid was perfect, amazing Pad Thai... Gave me a little bit of real thai vibe! totally recommend!

Food was lush but the service really smashed it - Maxwell and Sion were consistently smiling and friendly despite running around all evening on a particularly busy service . A fab meal out.

We've just had an amazing meal at the Siam Cottage. Food was beautiful. Service was spot on. Matt & Maxwell were both very friendly & attentive. And even though they were quite busy, they still found time to stop and have a chat . Thanks guys

We were in Moreton-In-Marsh for a weekend trip. At 9pm, most of the restaurants were closed so we stumbled upon this place. They were kind enough to keep their kitchen open to take our last orders. My usual benchmark for a Thai restaurant's authenticity is if they will papaya salad on the menu. And I'm happy to say that this place does. I ordered pretty standard stuff: tom yum soup and seafood curry. They tasted as well as expected. What was unique about this restaurant is their "Elephant" table. There's this one table and set of chairs made of ornate looking wood that is crafted to look like an elephant. Whether or not it is actually antique is a different story, but it sure feels so. The chairs are extremely heavy and their weight lends to you a sense of importance as you dine in them. Haha. I can't comment on the rooms as I did not stay there. Our server was Maxwell who was extremely helpful and friendly. Overall, good Thai restaurant that I'd visit again if I were in the area.

Amazing food and service as always. Very authentic delicious food. Stayed in Moreton for 5 days and ate here two of them. Been many times and amazing food each time. Maxwell was our waiter who was polite friendly and efficient. Thank you so much. If you come you will not be disappointed. Shouldn't tell everyone really as we may not get in next time. Maxwell was very welcoming and we enjoyed talking to him. He was very cheerful and friendly. Food at Siam cottage was authentic and one of the best Thai meals we've had.

The meal was delicious and the service was fab (Maxwell was very attentive and friendly) it was very busy so glad we booked in advance, unfortunately as it was so busy it was rather loud and difficult to talk to each other, but that's not the restaurants fault, some people just don't have an indoor voice 😀

We sat waiting for 15 mins for someone to take our drink order. Then main meal came out and we didn’t even get our starters! So disappointed!

Busy night on valentines we was able to book a table last minute. They was super busy but the staff was so good and so friendly me and my partner absolutely love it here they did so well massive thumbs up from us and hope you all enjoy the rest off your night

Called in for Lunchtime Tapas as they are dog friendly it was a fantastic experience I had Coconut rice , Pork dumplings , Salt & Pepper Squid & Wok Stir-fry Gonger Prawn my Wife had the set Menu Bangkok Set consisting of Hiney Duck , Stir-fry fried Cashew with Chicken Spring Rolls & Jasmine rice we also had a really nice bottle of wine all for GBP 67.00 Every bit of the meals were Excellent really tasty & cooked fresh & quick amazing service cannot wait to go again We were also provided with a bowl of water for our little dog Roxy a fantastic experience

I enjoyed this spot, food and atmosphere. The owner recommanded dishes that are not too sweet per my taste preference. I ordered cheesecake of the day for dessert, because owner said the pudding might be too sweet for me. I still find the cheesecake overly sweet for me lol. Business around Christmas season is slow. I’m happy they are open.

Wexhad a take away. We ordered online. Regretfully for some reason the order had not come through (we did not want to download the app) and had to be reordered on site. This was done quickly and after an ok wait we got our food. We enjoyed everything, so apart from logistics all good.

Arrived late in the evening but the kitchen kindly stayed open for us and the food was excellent. Highly recommend.

If I could give more stars, I would. Absolutely outstanding food. I visited over a month ago and we still talk about how amazing the food was. I would highly recommend going with a group so you can try a variety of dishes. One of the best places I have eaten recently.

My review is solely for the food, I did not stop in the guesthouse. The food was AMAZING ! I had a starter and main as did my children, the portions were filling, and we're so tasty I would highly recommend this establishment.

A very good Thai restaurant. My wife and I have been there twice over the last two weeks and have found both the food and service to be excellent. Recommend the Jungle curry for those who like it spicy.

This is a good restaurant and we enjoyed our meals. The restaurant was welcoming and pleasant. The toilets were outside which was OK for us (mobility) as it wasn’t raining! We felt the service needed to be better and so decided to remove the auto-added 10% gratuity.

Had been craving a burst of flavour after a day out at the Cotswolds. Wow, Siam Cottage delivered. We all left comforted and happy for the night. You couldn’t ask for a better way to end the day to be honest. I will find a way to return to Siam Cottage if I can help it.

This review is for the restaurant only. I had the duck red curry and DW had the red curry with a request for extra spice. Both were outstanding with great flavors and really fresh ingredients. Service was fast and friendly. One of the better Thai meals we've had outside of Thailand. Highly recommended.

We've been here for 3 nites for the amazing thai food which is so delicious esp the tom yum, stir fry prawn oyster sauce and much more. All the cuisine is really well serve with amazing taste. Salute to the chef. And the staffs are really friendly

This review is purely for the Guestroom we stayed in. We did not eat at the restaurant. The room (room 2) was quirky and traditional to the Thai culture I believe. It was very homely and spotless. Our sons had bought it as a gift to us so I can’t comment on the booking process. The room was clean and overlooked the main road which was lovely. Having the fob to get in was brilliant and gave us the freedom to come and go as we pleased when the restaurant was closed. Upon checking in, we were told that the WiFi code would be emailed to us-it wasn’t but I had enough data. We were left with 1 teabag and 3 coffee sachets-no choice of decaf which we both drink. The bed was small, my hubby and I are not! We needed an extra pillow and only discovered them on leaving the room this morning! The shower needs urgent attention. It was either cold or boiling hot and fluctuates frequently. I love a hot shower but it was far too hot for me. My hubby likes a warm shower so settled on a cold one rather than burn himself. Please fix this before someone gets burnt! Lovely place, just not for us for a return visit 😃

My wife and I have been having takeaways from here for a while now and the food is quite good. Unfortunately last night, shortly after eating our meal (we both had the Duck Red Curry) we were both violently ill. Needless to say we won't be going back.

Lovely food with great layers of flavour. Nice, relaxed service. We went for Thai fish cakes, pork dumplings, chicken pennang, and jasmine rice. All of it was freshly cooked and like good Thai food, fresh and zingy flavours. spicy, without the spice being the be-all and end all of the dish. It's more like fresh spice. Great portions and left feeling like I could have stopped eating a few mouthfuls earlier. Nice ambience. There was only one table when I got there, so quiet, but about 10 tables by the time I left, so a nice buzz about the place. A quirk of the place is that the loos are outside through the courtyard. It's only about 10 steps, but I bet it is freezing to park your bum on that seat in mid-winter 🤣. Probably adds to the quirkiness in a very old market town like moreton-in-marsh. I'd happily go back for more... after this has gone down.

Clean and inviting. Great selection of epic tasting food, Friendy FOH, who is attentive to helping you choose the best combination of food that's goes best with each other. We ordered Starters... The share platter, pork dumplings, duck spring rolls, and prawn crackers for starters. Main... Egg fried rice, chicken pad Tai, sesame seed chicken, and teriyaki chicken. (Forgot to take pic) All washed down with two bottles of tap water. The price is reflected in the quantity and presentation of the food. We arrived as the main door was opened for evening service. We will be back as the food has done all the talking and four full tummy and happy people.

Ordered the Tom yum soup with rice and it tasted so fresh and full of flavour. Service was great too. Staff were attentive and friendly. Food didn’t take long to arrive. Would visit again.

Excellent meal and great service! Cashew stir fry was so tasty and the right level of heat. We also had Panang curry with chicken that was quite good as well. Nice change from all the fish and chips and meat pies we were eating!

My 5* rating is for the amazing, authentic Thai meals, we had this evening. We moved to M-in-M seven months ago, from Reading, Berks where there is a good selection of authentic Thai restaurant. Siam Cottage is up there with the best of those in Reading. MOST of all though, is the service we received this evening from the only Waitress, Matilde. Matilde is absolutely the best in customer service and attention to detail. She is extremely hard working and puts her male counterparts to shame (yes, we're still wait for that pint glass, Waiter!). We watched Matilde this evening and to say she pinged around faster than a flea on a cat, wouldn't come close to the energy and enthusiasm, she demonstrated. Thank you Siam Cottage for the most delicious meal and thank you Matilde for making this dining experience one to remember

Really helpful staff gave advice on vegan options available. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. Would definitely recommend and will go back again if we're ever in the town again.

fab food, room not perfect but great location

Poor service and terrible cocktails. Beware the happy hour. Ordered a mojito it came blue and tasted nasty. Returned and still got charged for it on the bill. Rude bartender and service and ended up having to pay a 10% service fee to him anyways which he certainly did not earn. We are local but won’t be back again.

Ate here for my birthday and would come back every time I'm in the area. Thai wasn't high on my list of food I love but this has definitely changed my opinion. Brilliant family owned resteraunt, staff very friendly and relaxed. Have to mention the food again because it was absolutely outstanding. Best meal I've had out for a long while.

Stopped here today for lunch, wasn't disappointed. Had a sharing plate and it was more than enough for the two of us and incredibly tasty. Good variety of food. The tapas lunch special but Thai style.

Stayed in the accommodation above the restaurant and also dined here on the night of our stay. I have to say both experiences were fantastic! The restaurant food was superb. We were a party of five for dinner and the food was very tasty and fresh. The service impeccable! Very friendly and attentive. The stay was great. It was the night before my wedding and there was plenty of space to get ready and facilities were perfect. Tim the host was friendly and helpful and very accommodating with regards to checkout time! Thank you for a great experience!

We managed to get a table in this popular Thai restaurant on a Saturday Eve. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, the staff are very attentive. We did ask to be moved as our table was right in front of the kitchen door so we felt we would be conscious of traffic throughout our meal .We ordered prawn crackers to start but we're a little disappointed as they seemed a bit stale . We both ordered dishes containing king prawn for mains . Both were tasty but the prawns came with the shell on which was really fiddly to eat . The restaurant puts a 10% service charge on the bill which although to exorbitant did grate a bit as we feel we should reward good food/staff as we see fit . The two meals , prawn crackers and one beer came to £55 for two. Overall whilst we enjoyed the meal it certainly wasent the best Thai we have eaten. With a few tweaks I think it could be excellent.

Great food, friendly staff, authentic Thai. The only let down is there is no children’s menu which seems odd considering Moreton is a hub for young families. They also serve Chang and Singha beer which is really good, however, they are always luke warm. Please make the beers colder guys, turn that dial down. Overall, superb!

Great Thai food, would highly recommend!

Our party of four stayed at the Siam Cottages and enjoyed dining in the restaurant as well. Our rooms oozed old world charm with exposed beams and stone walls. The restaurant was excellent. We made reservations and dined somewhat early to avoid crowds. Each of us had different selections that ran the gamut from chicken to beef, and prawns. The food was fresh and well prepared and presented. The staff was attentive and explained our options. We would highly recommend the Siam Cottage for both its dining and accommodations.

We ate at the Siam Cottage on 3 occasions during our week staying in Moreton in Marsh and each time we had a lovely meal. Service was friendly and efficient and the food was fabulous. Strongly recommend if you are ever in the area.

Food was delicious, waiters attentive and polite with beautiful scenery including a little waterfall in the outside dining space. Girlfriend is in love with the Salmon Panang and I had a delicious Beef Kra Pao, only feedback would be they’re more light handed with the fish sauce and chilli than I’d usually expect with Thai food maybe to appeal to local palette. They happily gave me a little pot with them in so I could add to my desire! Will definitely return.

The best Thai food I’ve had in the UK for years! Very well put together menu, fantastically prepared and absolutely delicious… 10/10 on every point!

Not local but stopped for a meal here on route home. Enjoyable meal and staff were very polite and friendly. Wrong side was brought out but this was soon rectified. House red was good.

Pleasant quaint very old building with very low ceilings. Room had old unusable chair, ceiling light in a great place for banging your head on, stairs to the bathroom & toilet bit of a challenge with no handrails, bed very comfortable though. Service is none as its bed only which we were aware of. Location great and surrounding area beautiful. Only realised "(private toilet & bathroom outside our room was private on leaving the building as other rooms were vacant)" not used by others as there was no-one else in the building, we'd been locked in left to our own devices and only found this out as we left the building and had to post key in box on leaving. All in all, comfy & cheap & in a beautiful area. *** It needs handrail on stairs to the bathroom, especially on the small stairs that go around the corner, and thank you for quick reply.

Beautify Restaurant, great value on food! Spent over £80 just to get ourselves a food poisoning. The service was great、 it’s just the food that causing problem, I do not know what causing the illness but not only me but also someone else got the same reaction. I don’t know if everyone who dine in have the same problem or not as I don’t know if the food cooked in advance and ready to serve or what, I am simply express what happened to me after the meal. Perhaps because of the vegetables or something else. However, the string beans mixed in the papaya salad and the stir fired chicken were the best dishes we have ever had before, which were either not being fully cooked well enough or just raw at all. Great taste with the throw up experience. If you wish to get an wonderful experience of vomiting and diarrhea, I strongly recommend you to come here! And yes, I mainly tell how I feel and what have happened after the meal and sincerely hope that you could take that into consideration. Thank you for the suggestion of thinking twice. I have and still gonna be the same.

Average Thai food which I would say is overpriced (the menu’s online pricing online is incorrect) . Don’t get me wrong the food wasn’t bad but it was lacking in flavour. The interior looks so much better in person , the pictures online do not do it justice. In my opinion the table with the elephant chairs is the best table of the house so maybe ask for this table when booking. The staff were friendly and professional.

I love this Thai! We have bothed dined in but mostly use Siam Cottage as our go to takeaway for Thai. Staff so nice and food is great. The new bar area is excellent, as is the addition of cocktails! Just need a night off driving over so I can sample the non virgin options!

Food is good, but every single time I’ve pre-ordered a takeaway and arrived on time I’m left waiting 20+ minutes for the food to come out. Quite frustrating when the takeaway has cost in excess of £100 and the barman tells you “it’ll only be 5 minutes or so”. Sort it out.

We always send our guests here, the food is super authentic it's like stepping back on holiday again in BKK. Some of the best authentic Thai we have had....So glad you brought your cuisine to our neighbourhood, we love that you are here !! 5+++++++
