I stayed two nights. Its owner, Jean, with an unstable character and dishonest personality, made our stay a real suffering. He was unhelpful (he didn't want to give us information about means of transportation), bad disposition as a host (she didn't want to acclimatize the room), he is a person who lacks the truth in his opinions. Not recommended. Save yourself problems. I will not come back .

Our grey Monday afternoon was brightened with a warm welcome from Jean, the owner, black coffee and 'grandma's Kenyan curry'. This is a lovely, unique place - serenity is the right word - there is a welcoming, home-from-home vibe both in the décor, the welcome and the many board games. While our food was prepared my wife beat me at three-dimensional noughts and crosses! Jean is an excellent host and the food here is so good. Moreton is blessed by them both and we will not miss the chance to return, whenever we pass this way.

This is tucked down a side street in Moreton-in-Marsh it has a very laid back vine. The teas and coffee are divine, especially the chai tea. The food is all freshly made and is delicious. The expresso cake was light and melted in your mouth. The added bonus is that it has an area upstairs kitted out for children with a stair gate and oodles of toys

What a joy!!! I can’t recommend this place enough, took a 9 month old who LOVED the upstairs play area, the owner has put her heart and soul into this place and you can really tell. It’s a must visit, especially if you have young children! She went the extra mile and couldn’t have loved our time more, thank you so so much!

Stumbled across this Organic Cafe & Shop by accident. Went inside and what a great find! Very friendly staff, and an excellent range of organic products. We started by ordering tea and coffee. I was impressed with both. Proper leaf tea served in a pot and good quality coffee. Then proceeded to buy a whole range of herbs, coconut flour, almond flour, Manuka honey etc For organic products the prices were very reasonable and I will definitely be returning!

Lovely little shop, just off the high street. Varied selection of organic produce, snacks and beauty products. The fruit I bought was delicious and the owner was very friendly and helpful.

Great range of quality and environmental-friendly products. The owner was charming and provided excellent recommendations, it was a lovely experience.

We called in to this lovely cafe out of the blue and discovered a lovely lady, who sold us some really nice coffee and a rather large freshly made egg mayonnaise sandwich. We sampled her excellent ice cream and enjoyed some interesting conversation. What a pleasure! See you next time. Jim and Wendy x

I booked Serenity Bean for a group booking of 25 people. Jean kindly opened her shop on the Sunday to accommodate my party. All of the other Tea Shops refused to accommodate us. Before we visited Jean, we went on a short tour of Moreton in Marsh of the locations used in Father Brown. We were served with fresh coffee and tea with an assortment of cakes. Two of the party had Gluten/Lactose tolerances and most of the cakes were most suitable for them. I recommend the Chocolate and coffee toped Cup Cakes. We all sat in relaxed areas (Downstairs & Upstairs). Please, don't be afraid to try the Gluten Free products. If you weren't told they were Gluten free, wouldn't know/taste the difference. Looking for somewhere to have lunch on a hot and busy Friday we popped in and I'm so glad we did. Relaxed surroundings and laid-back music playing adds to the calm mood and then there's the really great food... We tried the darebit, a spicy take on Welsh rarebit and it was wonderful: "Made with love... and a secret recipe" the friendly owner said. We certainly hope for a return visit and a second helping of her fab food!

A very rare visit to Moreton in Marsh, needed lunch and went to Serenity Bean on the basis of TripAdvisor reviews. The mocha coffee was very good and the Darebit (spicy Rarebit) with chips was fantastic, the flapjack I had to take out was also brilliant. The background music was very calming. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The place looked so inviting from the window we decided to stop for a bit of lunch. Had a sandwich and a cold drink and bought a couple of home made spicy pies to take home for dinner. So glad we did, the food is wonderful, atmosphere is calm, relaxing and welcoming. We sent the husbands there the next day for more pies. We could of stayed all day.

There's something very special about Serenity Bean. Great coffee, smiling lovely service, fab things to eat. Always lovely to sit and enjoy.....always a warm welcome - and a chance to pick up a few eco-essentials.

Coffee is the best ! I had coconut cappuccino, husband had cappuccino and was very impressed ! Jean couldn’t do enough to ensure we had a relaxing time. A really caring hostess ! Thank you !

Stumbled across this lovely place with 2 of my friends whilst visiting the area. Food was just what we needed on such a hot day -fresh and healthy! The lady serving us offered to make a bespoke milkshake for my friend which was kind and over and above. The shop is great too and don’t miss the fridge freezer! Ask if don’t spot this! I would definitely return even just for the seaweed crisps!

Stumbled across Serenity Bean whilst in Moreton. Lots of choice and both dishes my group had were lovely. One of the group had a food shake and said it was delicious. Was also nice being able to purchase vegan food store items within the shop. Would return again in the future.

On the outside, this cafe expresses love and harmony. On the inside, you're welcomed by Jean, a new age Christian, who forces her religion on to you. Unfortunately, one day she exposed herself as a very rude, aggressive and inconsiderate woman towards other peoples views. I came in for a coffee, not to be challenged on my belief system. To be asked for my opinion, and then be told I'm wrong, is not exactly professional. However, the coffee is superb. Annoyingly, because I no longer go here in fear of being told I'm going to hell. 5* Coffee minus 3* for forced religious views.

We've stumbled upon this lovely cafe while wandering around Moreton in Marsh and what a lovely surprise it was: the toasties were so tasty and the drinks just perfect for this cold weather. The owner was really helpful and kind: highly recommended!

Se nos permitió sentarnos con un niño de 11 meses y nuestro perro. La señora que nos atendió, supongo que el dueño fue muy servicial y recomendó el café que tomé y quedé impresionado.

The food here was incredible: brilliant veggie food that vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike would enjoy. A fantastic lunch - would recommend so highly.

No soy vegetariano, pero podría serlo después de probar la comida de Jean. Comimos aquí el viernes por la noche cuando la cafetería sirve un menú de comida caliente. Esa noche fue un curry vegano picante hecho con la receta de la madre de Jean, un curry de frijoles mungo, ensalada de arroz con tomate y tostadas. Serenity bean is so much more than a cafe. It sells an array of health foods (dried beans, grains, etc) along with fresh organic fruits and vegetables. There is a clear emphasis on sustainability through upcycling and compostable packaging. Above all that the owner, Jean, is so warm and welcoming. She is going above and beyond to provide a space for people, when not in lockdown, to come together. She offers refills on some food products (rice, lentils, cocoa powder) and also toiletries. A complete gem of a place.

So thankful to have this shop in Moreton where I can buy organic quality produce at a great price. I have a very strict diet and Jean the owner is so accommodating and always tries her best to find me what I need. The only place in moreton where I’ve found a delicious decaf coconut latte! She also has lots of eco friendly products which I can’t wait to try. Really love this place and can’t wait to go and eat there when lockdown is over. Highly recommend and I shall continue to support such a fantastic community cafe!

Lovely little shop. Needed xantham gum at the last minute before our VE Day cake, and the lovely worker had it ready for me when I arrived. Great place, with lovely gluten free treats. Will be back when lockdown is over to chill out :)

Lovely cafe with amazing vegetarian and vegan options! It was probably some the most delicious food we had over our stay at the Cotswolds and Moreton-in-Marsh - and the coffee was amazing too! The host is really friendly and accommodating and she truly makes you feel at home. Totally recommend!

Absolutely fabulous place. Delicious vegan friendly food and drinks, as well as standard veggie options. Great selection of family friendly games to play for when you need to kill some time. Big selling point was how at home the atmosphere makes you feel and the amazing host, who was wonderful and welcoming from the moment we entered to when we left. Can't recommend this place is enough if you need to unwind, kill some time or just fancy some delicious home cooked food. (there's also a shop for some necessities at home if you need anything)

this place is a real find. the coffee is great and what food Ive had also v tasty. they sell a wide range of organic products...veg and fruit with no plastic packaging, what a relief! Jean whose place it is has decided to make something of value to the community, and she's succeeded! well worth a visit.

What a fantastic find. Purely by accident. Perfectly served food, beautiful efficient polite host. The menu is FULL of options and the actual food is some of the best I’ve ever had and I’m in the hospitality industry. I would HIGHLY recommend this establishment.

We were seeking a cafe or restaurant for lunch in Moreton in Marsh with a good choice of vegetarian and vegan food and were not disappointed. Good, wholesome home cooking, lovingly prepared by the owner which was tasty, filling and good value for money. A relaxing, friendly atmosphere just off the high street, it’s worth checking out!

My wife and I stumbled upon this gem during our long weekend away in the Cotswolds during December 2019 to celebrate her birthday. This is way more than a restaurant and everything about this place oozes positive vibes! The menu is East African inspired and ingredients are ethical. Everything is home made with love and service is unrushed. Things take as long as they should in the natural order of things and the owner, Jean, thanked us for our patience even though we didn't feel that we were kept waiting.There is a choice of casual sofa style seating with coffee tables or more formal dining tables. There is a shelf containing an array of board games, books and jigsaw puzzles to make use of during your stay. It's almost like lounging in Jean's living room!There is also a lovely range of organic ethical groceries and gift items that can be purchased at very reasonable prices. We particularly loved the hand wash in the customer toilet and discovered that it was also available to purchase. Going "plastic free" is encouraged and you can bring a container to fill with a range of natural household laundry / kitchen / bathroom products at very reasonable prices. Jean noticed that we weren't local and therefore even provided us with some spare glass bottles to fill at no extra cost!We really enjoyed our time at the Serenity Bean and it was lovely speaking with Jean and she is providing a great service to the community!

A lovely peaceful place to relax and enjoy some delicious vegan food, with a handy grocery corner containing quality organic and vegan products (vegan Worcester sauce!). Friendly service, truly enjoyable vegan food, in a wonderfully informal setting. I really enjoyed my visit here, highly recommend!

We wanted somewhere that served vegetarian food and welcomed dogs. We were not disappointed. Just off the Main Street it was easy to find and was lovely and warm on a bit of a drizzly day. We found a light window spot which was roomy and comfortable. The coffee and hot chocolate were well made and the tiffin and shortbread were delicious. We will certainly return when we are next in the area.

The interior of this cafe is amazing! Traditional Cotswold stone and comfortable seating and design. The coffee was the nicest I had in a very long time. I will be back to try the food!

This is like an intentional social enterprise, full of things to do and share and learn. Real Soul Wholefood menu and a place to encounter the warmth of the human spirit. You will emerge refreshed and recreated!!!

A magical place in which to have excellent coffee, make friends and get your partner to teach you chess! And what's more there are organic supplies to stock your kitchen with. The setting is like someone's home which makes it easy to while away hours!

Serenity Bean is just off the main road through Moreton-in-Marsh but it is absolutely worth a little detour. It's a haven for me, a place with beautiful coffee, where I can read, reflect and take in the beautiful surroundings. It doubles up as an eco-friendly convenience store which is fabulous, and you are always guaranteed a warm welcome from the owner. Perfect!

How lucky we are to have this gem of a place in Moreton. Grandchildren loved the play area, secure and well planned. Sandwiches delicious, coffee great. Wide selection children’s books, games adults books and family games - a really relaxing home from home place to go. Can’t wait to go back

Four hungry children enjoyed fresh smoothies, wholemeal cheese scones and homemade baked beans and toast at this friendly cafe. Lots of games and books to keep them entertained too.

I come here with my 11 month old and my friends and their kids at least once a week. Serenity Bean is my small haven where the children can play in the safe play room upstairs while I have a coffee and a bite to eat!

Excellent alternative to the cafe and teashops in town. Sleek, modern and healthy, an excellent find when all we wanted was somehwere quiet to chill and enjoy some lunch! Great food, tasty coffee and a lovely setting, topped off by great personal service!!

Popped in for a coffee. Knowledgeable, friendly staff and Jigsaws on the tables. Waiting for the next customer to do the next bit. And knitting bags too. Lovely relaxed atmosphere off the main road.

I have visited this cafe several times now and recommended it to lots of friends with small children. For so long I have been saying Moreton desperately needs a cafe with a bit of a play area for babies/ toddlers/ pre-schoolers. This cafe is wonderful. It has a room upstairs full of toys, a ball pit, a toy kitchen, train set, books etc. Its beautifully decorated with new carpets and lovely rugs. It's a fantastic place to catch up with other mums/ dads and enjoy a coffee while the little ones play. Both my 4 year old and my 18 month old absolutely love this place and my 4 year old keeps asking to go back.

Don't be put off by the quirky setting and no menus, the freshly made food and cakes are delicious. We gave the "darebit"a try basically a cheese on toast with horseradish,chillies, mustard and Worcester sauce.....delicious. As was the cheese and fresh plum tomatoes on toast. The cookies and tiffin were also delicious and well priced. The owner is so charming and helpful and clearly puts a lot of effort into what she serves

What a find! Nobody else there when we went on a beautiful day mid week. Great service and coffee & lots books to read & games to play... Lovely.

Went on market day the small cafe with just a few seats was not that busy but we waited ages for our snacks only toasties and soup. The owner seemed to be doing 'everything on her own. People who came after us got served first. Our toasty was just cheese on toast. The menu is small and vegetarian. We had to ask what was in the menu meals. Our table with 7 chairs had a jigsaw on it so only 4 people could use it. The pot of tea provided was not enough for three and was strong and when we asked for more hot water waited ages and the tea in the pot got cold.

Friendly, relaxed, slightly quirky. We had coffee, while filling in a jigsaw puzzle and then stayed for a delicious soup lunch. The owner is very accommodating and friendly. It’s very clean and homely and if you have children there is a playroom upstairs. Definitely recommended.

If it wasn't for the sign on the main road, we wouldn't have found Serenity Bean, tucked down a side street. Even when we arrived we weren't sure if it was open because you can't really see inside from the street. But I'm so glad we visited. The coffee was great, our lunchtime toasties were great and it was a pleasure to meet the owner, Jean. Ask her about the coffee beans...

I’m a frequent visitor and always receive such a warm welcome. The cookies and cakes are fantastic, and there is a great children’s play area upstairs which my little boy loves. The owner is really kind and attentive. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Honestly I just popped into the first cafe I saw after leaving the dentists this afternoon. I wasn't expecting the lovely experience I had. The owner greeted me promptly and warmly, and had her son (maybe 11? 12 years old?) take my order. He was courteous and I loved seeing him help with a family establishment after school.

We stopped here to get a coffee as the sign said dog friendly and we wanted some warmth! Boy did we get that, excellent coffee and tea and such a friendly attitude that we came back for lunch after our walk. I genuinely don’t have enough praise for what a delicious and delightful lunch we had, my kids and family cannot wait to come back next week.

We met some friends and were looking for a vegan lunch spot. We were made very welcome and the owner was very helpful when ordering the food which was delicious when it arrived. Very nice coffee and cookies too. Very relaxing friendly ambience. Lots of space upstairs too. On leaving I especially appreciated the owner chasing after me with my hat which I had left behind!

I tried coffee few weeks ago and as a result im returning every morning 5 days a week also the owner has been fantastic. So 100% try if you are around

We popped in to Serenity Bean this morning for a quick coffee. It's a lovely welcoming space with lots of seating options. The coffee (organic) is fabulous and we also shared a delicious warm, chewy oatmeal and raisin cookie. Our dog Alfie was even made very welcome with a little treat. Serenity Bean also sell organic products including local honey and loose cocoa powder, rice etc. A fab place. We'll be back :)

Excellent coffe and cakes, really friendly service. The child play room upstairs is stacked full of toys and a comfy area to allow my wife to breastfeed. Will come back next time we are in moreton.

It was a cold but sunny day in Moreton-in-Marsh and we came across this wonderful coffee house where we were lucky enough to sit outside with the warmth of the sun on our side. Try the cookies, they were delicious, as was the coffee. Service couldn’t be faulted and of all the coffee houses in the town, this rates as one of the best.

Just visited Serenity Bean and will definitely be visiting again when we are in the area. I tried a chicory cup, which is an alternative to coffee, I liked it so much I've bought a jar home!

Came here with my old man and was blown away. The coffee and cakes are incredible, the decor and atmosphere really make you feel at home, and the owner is lovely and really knows her stuff. There's a great range of organic products for sale as well. Do not miss!

Despite there being lots of cafes and tea rooms in Moreton-in-Marsh, this one is different. Friendly welcome, good service, comfy seats, good coffee and cakes - and interesting, relaxing background music. Books provided for adults and kids to read while you're there. Well worth a visit.
