Lovely welcome , great service . I definitely recommend the Turkish eggs from the breakfast menu. An unusual dish of yoghurt poached eggs and sourdough toast with a spicy twist , delicious

Amazing afternoon tea . Delicious mixture of sandwiches, savouries, hot pastries, Scones both fruit and cheese and a lovely selection of homemade cakes . Service was excellent and we were given two free coffees which was such a nice gesture . Great value for money. A must if you are in the area. You need to book in advance for the afternoon tea .

By a long stretch, the nicest and most welcoming of all the coffee shops in Moreton-in-Marsh. The breakfast and lunch menus are A* and the food is always delivered in good time and perfectly prepared. It's a bit of a squeeze when it's busy, but let's call it cosy instead. Most have a pub that's they call "their local". This is ours.

Heading home North from Swindon we decided on brunch in the Cotswolds. Drove through Lechlade, drove through Burford, drove through Stowe on the Wold all of which had temptations - but we're so glad we did because when we discovered Rixy's in Moreton in Marsh it was just perfect! Friendly, welcoming, lovely atmosphere and delicious food served to us in the gorgeous walled garden at the back. Hope we're passing this way again because we'll definitely return!

Personal amable, comida deliciosa Gracias.

We stopped here on the way from Cirencester to Shipston-on-Stour and had a very pleasant interlude! We both had home made soup (we each had a different one), which were delicious, accompanied by a fantastic cheese scone with herbs in it. There were lots of other tempting things we could have had had we not had such a big breakfast that morning. Everything is home made. I finished off with a hot chocolate, which is made with melted chocolate not powdered stuff. It was small but cosy and well frequented, so evidently popular.

To find somewhere so accommodating and so delicious is very rare! My mums birthday. I booked for 7 + a baby at 1.30. It appears I can’t count, we turned up at 12.50 with 8 + a baby! Already packed, we offered to come back at 1.30 but we were welcomed in and space made for us. Gluten free, dairy free, young, old - it doesn’t matter, they cater for everyone without an issue. Attentive and caring service with a smile. You ask, they will try their best to accommodate you. The food is just as amazing as the service. Generous and really delicious! As a coeliac I was so excited to find a local cafe that catered for me. My friend and I wanted to treat ourselves to an afternoon tea. So I emailed the cafe straight away, they responded very quickly and we arranged everything, I needed a vegetarian coeliac selection and they said that was fine. Perfect I thought. I also mentioned I didn’t like egg. Golly I’m fussy!!!! I had to do a deposit of £5 per person via PayPal but that was fine very easy to do. The Saturday of the afternoon tea arrived, very excited we arrived on time but were told they weren’t expecting us for another hour!! Ok I thought, we took a seat and said we could wait. Luckily they said they could arrange the afternoon tea to be made as soon as possible. They asked if we wanted tea or coffee now because I’m super awkward I don’t drink either but I was only offered apple juice as an alternative, turned out fine it was very tasty. Our food came out, all separate so no contamination. Brilliant. Only to find that my sandwiches were gluten free but contained meat and egg. I called the waitress over and they arranged some sandwiches I could eat , very flexible with their flavours. And yes they were delicious. The gluten free scone was also very tasty. With the afternoon tea you get to have a piece of cake afterwards. The cakes aren’t labelled so the waitress had to tell me what they were and which were gluten free. I chose the gluten free bakewell cake which was delicious. The bill at the end deducted the deposit which was brilliant. I overall did like the gluten free afternoon tea I just wish it was a little better organised. Apart from that I can’t fault the food it tasted very nice

I'm a lifelong visitor to Moreton in Marsh, and have been to almost all of the tearooms there several times. The Cotswold Tearoom was a favourite before its present owners, and under their management it has only gotten better. The new decor with the new name is semi rural chic, but it is the food quality that stands above the rest. Sometimes scones can be dry, but these are always fresh, moist, and addictive. Called in for a sandwich and a coffee after visiting the market. I ordered the brie, bacon and cranberry and to call it just a sandwich was not doing it justice - it was a whole eating experience. Not for this establishment cardboard bread, a thin scraping of marg and a small dollop of filling in the middle, leaving an inch of dry bread all round the edge. No - beautifully fresh cut granary bread, half a pigs worth of bacon and brie that was oozing out the edges there was so much of it. My friend's sandwich was just as wonderful. And crisps and salad as well. The cakes looked absolutely amazing but we were too full to indulge ourselves. The whole menu just makes me want to return and try it all. And all in the perfect ambience of a typical English Tearoom (and a lovely clean toilet as well). We will be back and well worth our 50 mile journey. This Tearoom is a brilliant find.

I booked the Cotswolds Tea Room last month for a private hire afternoon tea for my sister-in-laws 30th birthday and it was amazing. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. In the lead up Julia accommodated all my requests and catered for all dietary requirements.

We came upon this lovely tearoom where we stopped for coffee and a breakfast bun. The atmosphere , food and staff were so lovely we went back for lunch when we had finished what we were doing in the village. Highly recommend.

Been coming here for two years now. As a celiac with two in our family the fact they understand cross contamination is a real blessing. They even have alternative gluten free sausages for the cooked breakfast.

When it comes to cream tea it’s all about the scones! Will they be fluffy and melt-in-the-mouth or disastrously heavy and chewy? At the Cotswold Tearoom they are as light and delicious as a trip to heaven. Accompanied by a range of mini rolls with fabulous fillings, bottomless tea and coffee and unbelievable cakes the cream tea here is a fabulous choice.

A very old fashioned type of tea room. You think you're going into a book shop at first, then go into the main tea room. It all exudes history and quality. Very nice for afternoon tea, the cakes are wonderful and all made on the premises, the brunch was great too. Can't really fault it. Service was quick despite it being very busy. Highly recommended, well worth a visit

Excellent restaurant in a very beautiful hotel where I celebrated my birthday with a a small group of friends. Last year I also enjoyed an evening meal here with my partner. Ambience, service and food were perfect. Apéritifs in the lounge, well-spaced tables in the restaurant, excellent, polite and friendly staff, delicious food and lovely surroundings. By far the best restaurant I have been to in years.

What a find, a very quintessential English country pub serving local beers as well as a very stocked back shelf and wine cellar. The welcome is warm and very friendly from the staff and locals alike. Not once did we finish our meals and head home, as we started conversations with the locals and fellow guests, that meant for a very social atmosphere. There is a good lunch menu and a very comprehensive evening menu. I promise you will want to come back to try "something else" off the menu, I know we did and we soon realised that we had to pick either starters & main or main & desert due to the larger portions you receive.

We attended a Wedding at Fosse Manor (in their Hyde Barn). The wedding catering was excellent. It is confusing to read the other reviews here as there was no actual restaurant on site that we could see - just the wedding banquet room and adjoining bar. Breakfast however was not good. Pre-cooked under 3 heat lamps and self-service. The tea was very weak even after adding more tea-bags! The breakfast room was styled like a hostel with long trestle tables for lots of guests to sit together, and was extremely noisy. After a night spent in the terrible accommodation here (for which we have written a separate review) we did not enjoy this experience at all. A shame, as the Wedding catering itself was very well done and managed.

Yesterday we visited this wonderful place. Very cozy place, not noisy, but there were people around. Nice service staff greeted us with smiles and politely showed us to the table. The dishes were served in original dishes, with beautiful presentation. We started with king prawns with garlic, it's something incredible! Be sure to try it! And a salad with prawns, bacon. For the main course I chose Sebas fish, prawns and vegetables. The fish was amazing!!! I really liked the delicate sauce. I rarely eat the whole portion, but yesterday I did it easily. My husband chose a burger. It was a great huge burger! My man was satisfied and full. For dessert we took creme brulee and toffee pudding. A magnificent dessert!
