A real gem of a tea room. Great selection of homemade baking. A good selection also of hot food. Reasonable prices. Friendly, helpful staff. What more could you want?Just pay it a visit if you are in the area. You won't be disappointed.

My brother and I ( both 60+)had been walking for over 5hrs on the Walds Way. We stopped off at Milla’s Friday afternoon for Coffee and Cake and were greeted by two delightful young ladies, who served us tea , coffee and cake and showed a genuine interest in our day. This is a saloon offering predominately eye brow & beauty treatment, but I would also recommend the coffee. As for my brows … maybe next time. Thank you ladies , well done.

Excellent fish and chip shop - great food and good service with good portions and very reasonable prices for this day and age. The best for a long way around here.

Really disappointed considering the current score of 4.8. Locals were rude making you feel quite unwelcome. The staff were nice and friendly and got my wife and I a table to eat at. I almost wish they hadn't though, as the food was mediocre at best. We both asked for ribeye steaks but received what appeared to be a sirloin. Steak was full of fat and quite chewy/tough for a medium rare cook. Flavour was good but had to leave about a third of it due to the excessive amount of fat on the cut. The chips and black pudding were both under cooked, whilst the peas were over. No-one checked on us after being served and we left unsatisfied. Such a shame as it looked and felt like it was going to be good.

Are your normal tapas size dishes like these? 4x small gyoza 2x bao bun 2x thin slice of pork belly 6x small prawns and you charge £9-10 for each dish? Or we have been ripped off?

Had a meal here Saturday would highly recommend. Food was really nice and service very good the only thing I would say was put a couple of onion rings n mushrooms on the steak dinners . I know you can buy onion rings as extras but wooden blocks look abit empty .

Had Sunday lunch here today. The menu offered excellent choice of starters and main course, especially for my vegetarian friend. The starters were excellent as were the main courses of brie and red onion tart, and traditional roast beef. unfortunately too full for pudding from the tempting selection on offer. We were impeccably served by the waiter, Bradley who was polite and efficient, and by Grace ( manager?). We were very pleased that the Fleece is dog friendly, and indeed the whole atmosphere was friendly and welcoming for humans too.

We had a takeaway last night and will not be getting one again. The tikka masala was like tinned tomato soup. Pilau rice had no flavour. I can’t understand why this place gets such good reviews for the good. It’s like it’s from the 1950’s. Do better!

Visited when we was staying at a local lodge site, pub looks beautiful from the road side so thought lets give it a try, booked an evening meal, food was ok veg abit too hard for me but that's down to individual taste, the young guy serving us was very polite and helpful a credit to the business, i would return if in the area.

Lovely place to eat and to stay. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the bar/restaurant area are really nice and cosy. The Chinese food was absolutely lovely and there was lots on offer, waiting staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice and simple. The lovely lady who runs the who establishment was so friendly, helpful and kind, she is there from early till late and really made our stay a pleasant one. Thank you so much!

This was our 3rd visit to the Bay Horse. It just gets better & better. We’ve celebrated two birthdays. In July was my parents diamond wedding anniversary celebration with 24 guests. When you arrive it’s a lovely welcome from Tim at the bar. Yvonne helped effortlessly create an interesting menu to cater for everyone’s wants & needs. We had the function room, beautiful sunny setting with doors onto the patio. Our food was fabulous, all arrived on time. Beautifully presented, tasted amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. I’ve no hesitation recommending The Bay Horse
