The best restaurants serving Default food in Ilkley Bradford Yorkshire and The Humber

I've never had any issues with this place, but apparently, you now have to book in advance to order food.

2nd visit to this lovely little gem of a place. I'm just out of hospital so it was a treat to get out somewhere. I had the Broccoli and cheddar quiche which was served with a crunchy colourful salad, wedges home made hummus and beautiful big pitted olives ( not from a jar) Thanks pastry base was the lightest thinnest I've ever had. Delicious. My vegan wife went for the pitta with cauliflower fritters, again salad & hummus with a sweet chilli dip. We both cleaned our plates. We also each had a freshly made fruit smoothie ( choose your own fruits) great big glassful which tasted fabulous. Great atmosphere and staff. Prices very reasonable. Parking just over the road. Wish there were more places like this for us non meat eaters. Well done VEGGIE. Highly recommend 👌

Really enjoyed the packed restaurant. Of course it was wednesday evening when the special offer 4 course meal was on the menu. Our food was delicious and plentiful. It was nice to go into a full restaurant in the middle of the week

We called in today for lunch having had coffee and cake on our previous two visits. It was more quiet than we expected - it's usually very busy and we called in on a bank holiday - so we were able to get a table at the back. We decided on two of the specials - I had the Smokey beans with Greek yogurt, my husband had the Mackerel pate with pickled onions, both came with sourdough toast and a small dressed salad. I thought, initially, that both dishes were a little pricey but, as we'd enjoyed what we'd had on previous visits and having promised ourselves something more substantial on our next visit, we thought we'd give it a try anyway. The food came very quickly - amazing for such a tiny kitchen! It was nicely and simply presented and was absolutely delicious. The mackerel pate was very obviously homemade and the beans came in a deceptively deep bowl so it was a plentiful portion - so not badly priced after all! The sourdough was really tasty and toasted to perfection. The coffee was very good. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, as they had been on our previous visits. We'll definitely call in again next time we're in Ilkley.

Parked the car and fancied some lunch before shopping. Literally fell into this gem 3 metres away and it was lovely. My partner was on crutches and doesn't like the sun so, when it was too hot inside, Jane seated us around the side in the shaded terrace. Food was great and service spot on. Thanks to Jane, Amy and all the staff who were so kind.

We were so disappointed - the food was not special and the restaurant was lacking in atmosphere. The room temp was too low, the lights were too bright and the decor was just plain. The food was just ... ordinary and didn't justify the price tag. I don't know if we caught it on a bad night but I doubt if we'll go back - there are much better options in Ilkley

The best chicken madras i ever had, and trust m at 67 years old i know my curries, also love the lamb masala (madras heat) and my Wife enjoys all the above but also loves the chicken biryani. Never varies in taste and always of a high quality, at around £7 inc 2 chapattis whats not to like ? Been an avid fan for 3 months now and well worth the trip from Otley and back.

Wonderful service, fabulous food & amazing views!

We called in whilst shopping in Ilkley. We enquired if we could bring our dog in. A lovely lady explained that dogs were. not allowed in the restaurant however she showed us to a seating area in the foyer and a lovely rear courtyard with tables. As it was a sunny day we sat outside. The coffee, cake and service were wonderful. We were made really welcome. Jessie the dog says thanks for the complimentary dog treats and bowl of water.

I love this cafe. The coffee is amazing and the staff are so lovely and helpful. The daily baked goods are great and it’s kiddie and dog friendly. Definitely a must stop in St Ives.

We had a lovely meal, deep fried arancini, followed by fantastic pizza cooked by Stef. Great thin crust and tasty topping. Didi is very friendly and welcoming. Good value for money.

Great value for money with 2 for 1 pizza! Pizzas were great, we had one gluten free and one normal, they were both big and full of toppings. Would definitely recommend for a casual and inexpensive meal out, we will be back!

We had a wonderful experience at the Box Tree last night, we are new to the area having moved from Leicestershire, and have eaten at Sat Bains (**) and John’s House (*) regularly over many years as they were local to us. This restaurant is 100% Michelin standard food and service without question. The food was absolutely beautiful, we couldn’t agree which were our favourite courses as they were all outstanding (and that barbecued bread!). The food all has both Yorkshire and Australian elements which is fabulous, presentation exquisite, and the service from the staff was impeccable. The decor is quirky but classy - we absolutely LOVED it and will definitely be returning!

We were bought a voucher for Xmas & I booked a table on the 6th Feb for the bottomless brunch. When we arrived the restaurant was closed & the bar next door said they had closed for good a few weeks ago! Beware if you are booking this restaurant as they are still advertising as open & taking bookings.
