Called on a few weeks ago and so glad that l did. Abit more than your average burger place but worth every single penny. Would l go back again. YES

I am writing on my wife and mother-in-law’s behalf. My wife has come home to tell me that she and her mother had gone for what they thought would be a quick drink or 2 before their bus arrived. She said the staff told them to sit down and they would await table service, despite saying they just wanted a drink and no food. They waited as everyone else seemed to be getting served and were eventually, after 15mins, my mother in law reminded them they were still waiting, with shitty attitudes by the bar staff took their order. They thought it might not take as long the second time so they decided to squeeze another drink in before the bus arrived. After going up to the bar to order a pint and a half and pay up, were told again to sit down and they would bring the drinks and card machine. After waiting for a while they missed the bus altogether because once again they were ignored by the staff who prioritised wiping tables and making cocktails and other drinks for people who had not been waiting anywhere near as long. My mother in law again had to remind them twice they were waiting for their drinks and to pay. The reason I am writing this is my wife is the most patient person I know but she said she hasn’t had service as bad as this for as long as she could think of. Also £20 for 3 and a half pints 👎🏻 Neither my wife or mother-in-law were impressed to say the least as they had been looking forward to it. Try somewhere with better service and cheaper drinks.

Ordered a burger at lunchtime today. Place was empty but the guy still took my order so I didn't think much of it. Turns out they were getting work done and put the shutters partially down, although they did tell me beforehand to be fair. Wasn't too bothered as I could still exit by ducking under the shutters. Then I noticed towards the end on my meal that the shutters had been lowered completely, essentially trapping me in the building. Had to go into the kitchens to get the nice chef guy to free me lol. Strange experience but nice food, did take some time to be prepared though

Got the beef wellington. Was perfect. Everything else was great too.
