This must rate as one of the best pubs in the UK ,a real ale drinkers paradise ,12 hand pumps of some of the best beers , friendly staff great atmosphere ,10 out of 10 well done a pleasure drinking in there

The people are great but the food was not good. We bought the pizza as advertised and was not as it looked. It said hand rolled dough but was a frozen pizza. Not ideal at all. Drinks were ok.

Stopped off here during our ten mile hike. Both had a pork roll which was absolutely to die for. Definitely recommended.

Fantastic atmosphere, everyone so friendly. Got a good set of lungs on them, some of the patrons! Played classic popular songs to sing along to. Cosy place.

Absolutely lovely breakfast well worth your money. Fresh ingredients and well presented. The most picturesque spot by the river for an early morning breakfast .

I was at the Severn Valley Railway Spring Diesel Festival yesterday, and every time I was at the Bewdley station, people were chomping down on the most amazing smelling and looking fish and chips. I eventually asked someone where they were from, and it was Merchants Bewdley. So I found myself in a very busy queue at 2015 last night, and it was a well deserved queue well worth waiting in. I had their Large Haddock Special meal, at £12. They also had a £6 and £8 option, prices shown in the photos below. Whilst the fish doesn't look that big, it was really thick, and beautiful. The batter was crisp and dry. It had been cooked specially for me, as I'd ordered the large. The chips were spot on. Odd to say, but probably the best salt and vinegar I've ever had 🤷 One thing that I will say is that the meal comes with "sauce". Not knowing what sauce options they had when asked which I wanted, I was told curry, gravy. peas or beans. So sauce is clearly sides in this part of the UK 😂. That said, an American behind me in the queue asked for tartar, and got it without correction, which I thought a little naughty. I didn't see what she got, maybe it was a tub of home made tartar rather than Heinz. I went with curry. It was nice, but a bit powdery, as though not mixed properly. Didn't put me off though. Would I return, definitely. I'll be taking a walk over there at lunch time the next time I'm at a SVR event. This was far better than my experience at The magpie in Whitby, supposedly one of the best in the country, last weekend.

Some of the best food and drink I’ve had in a long time. Friendly staff, reasonable prices for the location. Very impressed and will definitely be back!

A lovely little independent coffee shop where we stopped by for lunch. Excellent service from the staff and the food was great. The kids loved their milkshakes. Definitely will come back here for food. Always good to support your independent cafés.

Just had a delicious lunch provided by polite helpful staff who even provided me with a surprise birthday cake. They went above and beyond to make my day special. Thank you 😊

The drinks were well priced and the quiz night was fun, the food it a bit expensive but tasted very nice

Menu looks good, reviews look good.I visited around 11.30 am on Wednesday 15th January after reading the menu outside. The entrance to the Restaurant is through the Fish n Chip shop.It wasn't busy, perhaps half a dozen people sitting.It wasn't clear wether I should order in the Chip shop or take a seat.There appeared to be three staff on duty but none of them acknowledged my presence,so I stood awhile feeling awkward before approaching the counter, where I was ignored by all three staff who were having a conversation with their back to me,so once again I went to the chip shop where everyone was busy cooking.Once again I waited in the restaurant but no-one engaged,so I left and headed for Wetherspoons

We came to this lovely restaurant for a meal the food was amazing and Adam the waiter was absolutely great so we came back the next night for a meal/cocktails again and the live music was fantastic he even did some of our requests! 100% will come back when we visit Bewdley again! The atmosphere and other customers really made us feel welcome

In Bewdley for the weekend and had a takeout from here. Really good food. Good service, was busy but only waited about 20mins. Well worth a visit.

We called in for lunch. Absolutely amazing. The food was really lovely and customer service was great too! Beautiful situation right by the river and the food is the best I’ve had at lunchtime along the river. We will definitely go back again and thoroughly recommend
