Popped in on a Saturday night was very busy and the atmosphere was cozy. Bar staff were exceptional 👌

Gone So far downhill - We wont ever return anydayt soon ! Visited this pub a few years ago - yes - pre covid - but Guys - no excuses - Was quite vibrant and very quirky with some strange light shows and funky music in the loos - and the bar was quite exciting even a model train running around the bar and celling area. we made a special "out of our way" effort to re-visit last week - only to find that the place had fallen apart - virtually empty ! Sky High Bar Prices !!! come one owners - !! you cant price your way out of a problem = it just makes matters wose FFS - A beer and 2 medium wines for 20 Quid !!!!! REALLY ?? plus dirty and un cared for fittings and seating - and no atmosphere at all !! And service with a scowl from very misserable bar person - looks lioke someone just doens't give a toss - Horrible - tatty - just a shell of its former self

We asked for steak pie and chips and were told chicken only available. It arrived in a basket with the chip paper still with it. Talk about having your intelligence insulted!It also explained the swiftness of being served. Great location is all this business has going for it.Avoid !

Went today, gone down considerably. For a place close to the riverside the food was dreadful . A chicken panini served in a card board tube, hardly any chicken and a chorizo sauce . The wife left hers the standards have dropped. Place needs a bit of TLC as well..22 June 24.

Awful 😞 food was disgusting and overpriced. The place needs a good clean. Toilets disgraceful. So disappointed ☹️

Four of us ordered Paninis, at £9 each with a drink they were served in a carboard tube ( and tasted like it) and not on a plate, they were very boring with no taste, we had ordered ham and cheese but the filling only covered just over half the panini with a very thin slice of cheese and wafer thin ham, I assume they are bought in like that and not made fresh, we will not be returning

We were going to eat here, but after ordering drinks from a member of staff with a bad attitude and then looking around at filthy surroundings, decided not to eat and never to return. If the bits we can see are disgusting, What's the kitchen like ? 🤒

The food is not good for pub food, it is bought from the chip shop which is about 50 meters away (yes, I am serious) and then served in a basket. If you are expecting nice pub grub you will be very very disappointed.

Great little place, good selection of drinks on tap; Estrella, Moretti, Neck Oil and shipyard to name a few. Not the biggest in side. But when it’s a nice day out you’ve got a great place to have a drink and some food on the river front.

Good chips. Good drinks. Lovely atmosphere. You can’t ask for much more. The staff were friendly and if you get a seat next to window, there’s a nice view of the river. Hope to visit again sometime when next in Bewdley.

We came to visit the Cock and Magpie on New Years Eve with the family. It was busy inside but the manager, a young girl, accommodated us perfectly. She was polite and remembered our bar order, including drinks and food for the kids. We will definitely be returning!

Very suprised to pay £6.45 for a pint of Neck Oil IPA. Beware anyone on a budget.

This has the backbone for a fabulous pub. It's really nice inside. We stayed for a late lunch and opted for pizza. Pizza was burmed on the underside and could have done with more topping. I had the bbq chicken. After half a pizza all I could taste was the burned base. As the pizza cooled it got more tough to eat. Would recommend this place for a drink though. They do coffee's & tea's too.

Great location. Nice simple food. I had a beautiful burger well presented. My friends had lovely fish and chips. The small version was a great option.

Went in for lunch. Quiet place. Had chicken and pesto pizza which was lovely.

Barman rude. We waited in the que for a few minutes to be greeted / grunted at by the barman that he was going to make sandwiches so we have to wait. Stood at the bar for 8 minutes for him to not return. Found a nice pub a few doors up with great customer service and instantly served.

Had a great night here being served by our hostess, Leigh. She even arranged for our favourite music to be played in the bar and turned on the train! Excellent!

We ordered 2 meals but they didn’t get delivered together, when the second meal did come it was not hot and everything on the plate was soggy. The chips were also cold probably because they were walked round from the chip shop at the back. I would not recommend eating here. Very disappointing and way below average for food and service.

Bar staff friendly enough and pub has a lot of character. Disappointing though that no cask ales were available. Not sure if they normally stock cask - it was a very quiet night and maybe they'd sold out over the BH weekend.

Really nice pub with some lovely stuff going on there. Open mic was great. But it is very expensive and the toilets are pretty awful.

Drinks only. They did not have decaff coffee so had to go for cider. Outside seating so can watch the world wander past on the river front and watch the wildlife on the water.

Lovely pub inside and beer good. Don’t be fooled (like us) in the food. All those served with chips are from the chip shop next door, nothing like as described off the menu. IE. All pies are just a pukka. If we’d of known I’d I brought direct from them.

A lovely meal sat by the river in the sunshine. Music to entertain and pleasant staff.

We popped in for an evening meal as the nearby fish restaurant had closed at 5.30pm. We asked for a mini fish and chips after enquiring about the portion size of the normal and mini ones. It arrived within two minutes of ordering it. The chips looked very unappetising and were lukewarm. The batter held an absolutely minuscule amount of fish. Certainly not as described. No desserts available. So a very unprepossesing experience.

We visited here with our dogs for a quick bite to eat. We both had pizza, which was very tasty although when it come out it didn’t look particularly appealing as my partners looked undercooked and mine just looked like a shop bought margarita… however they were actually really tasty! Would go back again!

Lovely little pub, so glad we stumbled into it. Good pie & chips (proper chip shop chips too!), GREAT music from Sankalpa Music - requests and sing along on Saturday afternoons - really cool interior, friendly staff & a welcoming atmosphere. We'd have stayed all night if we hadn't driven in!

Weird, wacky, different, steampunk, original, quaint ..... where to stop? A truly wonderful hostelry, situated on the bank of the magnificent River Severn, in beautiful Bewdley. They didn't appear to have much choice of "Real" ales. I had the small fish & chips, rather than the normal "large". It was satisfying enough, although the chips were somewhat flaccid, limp & uninviting. Well worth a visit.

Thursday night open mic night FAB night great music and freshly severed refreshments from the lovely bar staff will be back 🍻

We haven’t had the pleasure of visiting yet, but the food&drinks looks amazing so will definitely be coming down in the near future! 👌🏻 The review is to recognise Dan who I spoke to about accommodation, he went above and beyond and even made contact with another venue as he couldn’t accommodate our wedding guests on the date we needed. Service like that is few and far between and very much appreciated!
