couldn’t order cos this guy pushed in with a camera ordering a mini haddock meals and fish and chips. the diva behind the counter seemed like she was being held at gunpoint with how she spoke. i’m partially blind so asked “is that cherry coke” and she replied “what does it look like?”. i would return because in the mini haddock meal you get chips sauce and a mini haddock! 🤷🏼‍♀️

The chips were bland tasteless..in every way possible not like they were years ago with the same people..disappointed.

We stopped when passing Friday around 4.30-5pm ish and wasn't busy so didn't have to wait long. Had cod, chips & curry sauce and tasted amazing. The kids had chips and curry sauce and a large portion was massive, very good value for money.

Came here whilst on the way to holyhead to catch the ferry to Dublin. What an amazing little fish and chips shop. Better than binley mega chippy for miles. The chips were crunchy and perfectly cooked and the gravy was perfect texture. Will definitely come back soon.

After getting my silk press, I had that feeling when knee surgery is tomorrow. I decided to treat myself to a MINI HADDOCK MEAL. Upon searching for a nice place to eat, I clicked hide icons, but I could still see this restaraunt. Upon entering the vicinity I was greeted with another woman working the counter. I quickly said “Oh no no no, do not even think about serving me.” and proceeded to point to her and say “Mama, a girl behind you.” she gave me a “WHAT I DO 💙 “ stare but proceeded to let the blond girl take my order. I said “Who is this DIVA 💙” and she replied “Would you like a mini haddock meal with curry sauce” I payed with that FaceCard because it never declines. We got into a full conversation before I realized I was running late for Ellie and MASON House. I quickly said “Just put my fish and chips in the back” and she replied “HMM”. 10/10 service. User868739176690 literally predicted that this was would be BUSSIN and boy were they correct. The food made me crash out Hawk Tuah over it before getting a low taper fade Will definitely be back 👏

Came here last weekend with my boyfriend, we both ordered the haddock meals, the batter was falling off of the fish before we had even got home, clearly had been sat out for a while, the chips were definitely not cooked through as still hard in the middle, customer service was appalling and an overall miserable atmosphere, i wouldn’t recommend

came here with my kids last weekend as i decided to try a new chippy. i got some cod and chips (wouldn’t recommend) i ended up being on the toilet all night!! curry sause was alright but far too runny for my liking. not a very good experience.

some of the worst cod i have ever had in my life, batter had an odd taste and it was far too greasy for my liking. it had obviously been sitting there for a while. would not recommend.

Such a great experience! Staff is amazing and Dest is very, very, kind. Whilst I ate my food, I got to enjoy a beautiful view. Fish and chips.. oh, don’t even get me started. So, so, good. I honestly recommend this to anyone who really wants a good, tasty, and authentic dish for a quick night out. I ate with my husband and he enjoyed it as well. I hope him and I can come back since we live a couple hours away from Merchants. Overall, 10/10 experience. The whole reason for why we came was Tiktok believe or not 😂. My children had been talking about this as thus establishment has seemed to gain recognition through the engagement of social media platforms via TikTok. My children had been dreaming about the mind haddock MEAL💜 in there sleep and had been receiving excellent grades at school. We were served by this lovely woman who was very polite. She was helpful in explaining what came in my children's desired mini haddock MEAL💜. However, instead they decided to get a luscious looking chicken burger and chips each(which was insanely crispy, hot and looked exquisite) whilst I opted for the famous mini haddock. The service was phenomenal and I was asked if I would like salt and vinegar and the DIVA💜 put a generous amount on. Would definitely come again it was so exquisite and we are by the river. I would definitely recommend to everyone. My only criticism is that the mini haddock MEAL💜 was very small and thought that mini meant very large so I am curious about that. Thank you for your time💜

Upon arriving at 18:21 on Saturday after a 45-minute drive, we were informed that the restaurant was closed despite the sign in the window indicating a 7 p.m. closing time. Upon contacting the restaurant to lodge a complaint, we were transferred to a manager. He denied the existence of an opening hours sign outside the establishment, despite its clear visibility. The manager claimed that the restaurant had closed early due to a lack of customers. This decision raises concerns about the management of the business, as it appears to be operating at its peak hours without adequate staffing. Our young children were deeply disappointed after traveling a considerable distance to be denied entry. The manager also offered the suggestion that we could sit on the benches outside the restaurant.
