I visited the Queens head recently on a Saturday . And found it to be a decent pub . Enjoyed a couple of drinks there , with a family member . Before heading off to the local football . Staff were efficient , friendly & the beer was fine too . I recommend visiting there .

The best Baked Spuds in town. We had the chilli and chicken curry filling, very very tasty indeed, and the portion sizes are massive. Excellent value for money. 👍👏👏😀

Was really looking forward to afternoon tea based upon photos I'd seen online...in particular the deserts. I was very disappointed. The bread wasn't fresh, the scones were not freshly made, just warmed up - hard on the outside. And the lovely deserts were not. A piece of plain looking sponge, a piece of brown sponge with green icing and a brownie.

Pretty quiet but food was nice. I ordered pizza and it came out quick and was very nice. Beer seems a little overpriced. I payed £6.90 for a pint of corona.

My friend and I went for a last lunch here today as The Forest has been sold and closes tomorrow. It will be much missed as it’s always had wonderful food, atmosphere and very friendly and professional staff. Hopefully the new owners can match the current standards. It’s main problem is that it’s position on the high street means that it has difficulty picking up passing trade as it’s easy to drive past while looking for the entrance and it’s a fair way before you can turn round! So, good luck with trying to solve that puzzle. So, we’re going to try the sister restaurant, The Chequers at Crowle...

A bit disappointing..clearly one very drunk man knocking tables with drinks over multiple times.. management should have stepped in and got the person to leave..

This place seems to have reopened under the name Jumbo Chinese Restaurant. First time ordering here and sadly my last. Delivery took an hour but at order it said 20-30 mins. Food arrived cold and had to be heated before eating. The chicken fried rice was nothing like a normal Chinese chicken fried rice. There was no flavour at all and the chicken was greasy and tough. Weirdly, the rice was also bright yellow, more like an Indian pilau rice. The spring rolls were OK and edible but sadly not good enough to make me want to order again. Sadly my search for a decent Chinese takeaway goes on.
