You have no idea what awaits you inside. Amazing friendly welcoming team from the moment you walk through the door. They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday lunch. Like walking into grandparents house, loved the quirky. Good selection on the menu, food fresh and plenty of filling in sandwiches ( our lunch choice) . Lovely little place to stay. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Room was quaint and quirky. Fantastic atmosphere in the pub/restaurant. And the food, ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Best 3 course meal and breakfast we’ve had in a long time. 100% will be back again whenever we are next in that part of the country.

The food and service were very good. The curries were fresh, subtly spiced and well presented. Good naans too! A very reasonable £72 for 4, which included 2 large Kingfishers.

Nice little tea room. Reasonably priced cakes & hot drinks. Lovely views of the river Wye. Efficient service, not particularly friendly but the staff were very young. Tables not cleaned once customers left which isn’t good in current times but, other than that, a pleasant enough place.

We stayed in a front facing room and watched the river Wye flowing. We had a free parking space which was close by the hotel.We had a separate bathroom. The whole stay was wonderful. Breakfast was wonderful as was the evening meal plenty of choice. The Restaurant was very pleasant and was well spaced. The whole experience was very pleasant with lots to do and wildlife to see.

We came here on the opening evening and had a wonderful night. What a difference! Treated to great food- the game pie was first class. Wye Valley beers on tap, fantastic hosts and lovely atmosphere. Can’t recommend highly enough.

We had taken a long walk around the area followed by a trip on the hand ferry so decided to grab some lunch. We both had burgers and chips with a cider to wash it down. Staff were friendly, food was good and the views were stunning.

Dropped in for a lunch. Excellent experience all round .. Gammon was excellent and my Wife reports the pie was also v good - decent chef behind the scenes. New waitress on day 1 did great .. all good. Many thanks

I believe this has just re opened as the Crown Spice Lounge (we are not local). Anyway, we just had a delicious takeaway, including an excellent house special with chicken tikka and mint, plus a smoky, tasty aubergine bhaji. Would definitely recommend based on this experience.

Looks promising, but very tired with hardly any furniture in lounge area, instead a pool table stuck in the middle! Giving it a Very unpleasant atmosphere. Food isn’t very good either. This place needs help, I think the new people are struggling a bit because it’s potentially a gold mine in its beautiful position. I hope they sort the interior out before the big summer rush, and a better chef.

Six of us had sandwiches of varying fillings and we shared some chips (homemade-delicious). We polished everything off and everyone was happy. Would recommend definitely.

Absolutely awful woman (I use that word loosely) behind the bar....rude and sarcastic.... told us to go elsewhere if we didn't like it.....plus the prices were so expensive....... do yourself a favour and AVOID like the plague. I hope that barmaid loses her job.

Drove here for breakfast and it wasn’t here!!!!! Hungry and disappointed ☹️
