My wife and I went to The Hourglass , Tutbury,Staffs with friends and family today to mark my wife's birthday. We had pre ordered food and were not disappointed by what we were served. Lovely fresh meals and very tasty, served in a timely manner and with great service.Would definitely recommend this small business establishment. Lovely cafe/bistro. We've only been for breakfast and recommend it. Lots of choice for brekkie and lunch. Situated in a courtyard off the high Street in Tutbury its a lovely quiet area. Staff are friendly and attentive.

I jad 4 vet small fragments of chicken on my curry. The spiced were ok. Why no chicken ? Xxxxxxxx̌x̌ xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxdddd

Enjoyable meal, excellent food. Relaxed surroundings and pleasantly quiet. Good access for my disabled father, which took away the strain of dinning out.

Sadly but definitely the ostrich and chips I have had the misfortune to purchase in the Burton upon Trent region. Sincerely hope it was a bad night and not the norm

Wow! I'd just like to take this moment to improve every viewers quality of life. GO TO GORKHA PALACE. My only complaint is that it has ruined every other Indian restaurant for me because none match the food that this place produces. I'll end the review there as it is up to you to change your life. Love this place. Great selection of ales. Friendly atmosphere. Unpretentious local hub of the community. I love perusing the menu on the board and discussing options with other punters. All part of the fun. Never strangers for long

Been twice now in the space of a week and the food is amazing the staff are so wonderful and helpful service is brilliant cannot recconend this place enough thank you

Good service with nice decor and friendly staff. Good choice on menu hot and cold and I had a window shop in the cake area. Had Welsh Rarebit and Eggs Benedict and delicious. One poached egg slightly hard but as a person who doesn't make them as know it is hard to time consistency still good.

Short staffed , food average but above price, service good from the young waitress

I did not like food but my friends enjoyed but also the chips were to crunchy but I know that people love crunchy chips but I like mine soft like McDonald’s
