We had a great night here 2 weeks ago for our wedding anniversary. The food was excellent. The goats cheese wrapped in filo starter was delicious, as was the sirloin steak with a creamy sauce. I'd asked for it to be cooked medium and it was perfect. My husband ordered a different steak dish and asked for that to be medium rare and was equally happy with it. We didn't think we'd got room for a dessert but, after a decent break, found the home made tiramisu too much to resist. Service was very good and the chef spent some time talking with us which was a nice touch. It was a shame not to see it busier. Other customers of the night had arrived earlier than us and so left earlier. Despite us being the only ones there later on the staff didn't hurry us along so that they could get back home. We've been to Buonissimo in the past, but not for quite some time, and have always been happy with the food and service. This night, the food seemed better than ever. It made us realise we need to go more frequently as we really are fortunate to have such excellent Italian restaurants so close to home.

Without doubt the most delicious food in Brum…. QBox is an absolute winner, Dan’s talent is out of this world. Highly recommended. BEST CHIPPY in the world? Could well be! I absolutely love the chips here at Gabriels. Why? Well it starts with the easy parking despite being at the top of the busy Harborne High Street. With some spaces on the road and additional spaces on the car park (just remember to enter your car reg on the tablet on the counter in the shop!). Then the actual shop is very smartly presented and clean. You can even see the food being prepared and your order being made out. The staff are so nice and polite that you feel you stepped in your own kitchen. And they dress clean and tidy which is so important for me. But the food is where it is actually at. The chips are without doubt the best I have ever had and I have eaten all over the world. They are the best potatoes for sure and they are cooked to perfection. Neither undercooked nor overly heated. And they are always fresh. Never reheated either. I just couldn't resist in putting my box of chips on the ground outside the shop to capture a photo of the delicious chips today. YUMMY YUMMY, HAPPY TUMMY :)

We've been here a few times for drinks which has been fine and pleasurable. However tonight the experience was terrible. We noted that the beer glass had lipstick marks and upon notifying the lady behind the bar she simply said the marks hadn't come out in the dishwasher. This was not an acceptable response. My wine glass had a mark on the base of the glass also. After 1 drink we went onto the Plough across the road. Much higher standards and needless to say very clean glasses! Highly disappointed with this experience.

Yes, it would be nice if you updated the timetable displayed on the internet...which mentions that the pizzeria is open until 11:30pm...;) and actually: surprise!!! it is closed from 16:00!

Fantastic curry with great service and hospitality. Had the railway lamb which was tender, rich and tasty, pilau rice and a lovely garlic naan. Will definitely be going back soon

Great curry & great welcome from Harborne Indian Kitchen previously Umami. The curries are fantastic and I recommend the chicken chetiyar and the Baltis. The staff are great too and so welcoming. You can bring your own beers now and the prices offer good value for money too. Highly recommended

Without doubt the only place of its type on the high street that is consistent . Consistently clean Consistently happy helpful staff Consistently great food & drinks Very chilled and laid back .. love it ! And that’s why we keep coming back.
