The best restaurants serving Default food in Central Swindon South West

Firstly let me add I am Vegan, and luckily in this day and age, it is very rare to have a problem getting something decent when eating out no matter the restaurant. However, there were barely any vegan options at all! I had a plate of Pak Choi (so overcooked and dripping in what looked like slug juice) and broccoli with a few luke-warm chips. The only vegan pudding was some fruit. All that for £20.99. Genuinely the worst meal of my life! As for the staff, the main guy that dealt with our table was so rude he clearly didn't want to be there. When they wanted us to leave they literally told us to leave (we'd been there 1h 40mins - not sure what the limit is) and I swear they put the cold air-con on as it suddenly became freezing cold. For balance, there were 6 of us at the table and I was the only vegan. Everyone else said their food was 'ok'. But personally, this was honestly the worst eating out experience I have ever had in my life. As for cleanliness, my table was sticky and when I went for a wee, my legs were slowly spreading apart on the greasy floor.

Very tasty chicken, good value, and friendly staff. Frequently visit here on our lunch breaks, and you can also get a discount if you work locally.

Amazing , I ordered the maple pancakes , my daughter had the all day breakfast and Childs pancakes for my granddaughter , iced coffee What can I say the best breakfast that I have had for a long time The pancakes were so light and fluffy tasted amazing. The breakfast was very tasty and the poached eggs cooked to perfection The child’s pancakes were lovely

Always a pleasure. Very friendly staff. Food is hot a yummy. Have ordered many times via uber and just eat but really enjoyed our in person interaction. Good prices and made the food well when we were very clearly drink (most takeaways and pubs make the excuse to under deliver,miss items,cold or overcharge except this one!) You can either eat in or take out. Open late.

Ordered food through Ubereats and it turned up so cold you couldnt eat it, phone to advice issue as was abused by staff , PS I don’t think they like women, I would never order again fro this place disgusting

For some reason I had to wait over 35 mins for a double cheese burger and a happy meal. Completely useless service.

Girls behind the bar upstairs were absolutely miserable like they didn’t even want to be there . No smile when greeted just a yeah what do you want .

Popped into Subway at The Crossing Brunel Centre in Swindon. Ordered a foot long Garlic Cheese Steak aad a bottle of Coke. I was served promptly and the gent serving me was polite and speedy. The food was great, no problems at all. Tasty and filled me up just nicely. The premises was immaculatly clean and there was plenty of space to sit down . I'd thoroughly recommend Subway. Prompt service, excellent food and fair prices. Can't say better or fairer than that.

Amazing food, amazing service, amazing everything. Food tastes amazing better than dominos or pizza hut and is right next to the pub so can get after drinking.

Took the family in here for the all day breakfast. 4 of us had the regular breakfast and one the big breakfast. Firstly the prices are very good regular at £5.95. All cooked perfectly. Quality ingredients for the money.

We usually pop in for breakfast when we do our weekly food shop. The staff are always friendly and welcoming especially Rochell who always greets us with her infectious smile. I usually have poached eggs on dry toast (don’t like butter) And the eggs are always runny. Hubby has the full breakfast so I decided today to have the same and I wasn’t disappointed . Keep up the good work.

We used to eat at this pub when living in the area 15-20 years ago but have not been since moving away. Nothing much had changed and we had a very pleasant meal in reasonable surroundings The menu was fairly varied and nothing was too pricey, although the size of the portions was perhaps a little smaller. However there were many options for additional sides/extras. etc and we prefer sensible prices with more sensible- sized portions rather than high prices and vast portions!! My husband’s rump steak was amazing and perfectly cooked. It was also refreshing to go to a pub where desserts weren’t stupidly expensive. The staff were all very friendly and service was good. Overall, excellent value for money, decent food and good service.

Went through the drive thru. Ordered a 10 piece bucket. When we arrived home, the fries were soggy, and overcooked. The chicken was also overcooked, and very dark brown. Apart from that, I always thought that chickens have two breasts and two legs. So why did I get 8 drumsticks, and 2 tiny pieces of breast meat. I know …..cheap. No pun intended. This is the worst and most disgusting KFC I have ever had. I will certainly not return, and would suggest that people give it a wide swerve. Disgusting.

Would have given minus 5stars! ordered food on the 12th may whilst working in Swindon during “lockdown” and specifically ask the guy to put a copy of the receipt in the order so I can claim it back from work! and yes you guessed it they DID NOT PUT THE RECEIPT IN THEN ORDER🤬🤬🤬🤬 I’ve emailed them and phoned them and all they say is come and get it from the shop🤬🤬 How ignorant are these people do they not understand I do not live in Swindon. HOW BLOODY DIFFICULT IS IT TO EMAIL A COPY OF THE RECEIPT?!? WHY DO BUSINESSES GET IDIOTS TO RUN THEIR SHOPS😡🤬🤬🤬
