The food was absolutely delicious. Alex even went the extra mile because I'm gluten free. If you let them know in advance, they will be able to do a gluten free burger for you. Lovely atmosphere in the garden and even toys for the kids to play with.

What a find for Sunday lunch and any other meal out I would imagine. Everything from the welcome on arrival, the service and most importantly the quality of food was outstanding. Starters included prawn cocktail, parfait and waldorf salad all excellent. Chicken and beef for main course could not fault, beef perfectly cooked, chicken moist and flavoursome, perfectly cooked roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese to die for and a lovely selection of fresh vegetables. This was our first visit and certainly won’t be our last. Would not hesitate to recommend. Thank you.

Really good meal, vegetarian version made for us which was delicious, staff helpful and friendly. Set meal good value.

Unfortunately this friendly restaurant is now closed and has been for some time now. I would suggest the listing should be taken down until it reopens with new owners.

This is so different from other cafes and eateries! The place is very rustic and rural, so charming in every respect. It is popular with visitors and serves all the usual meals. We sat outside in the glorious sunshine but there was a large dining room inside. The coffee and tea were delicious and refreshing. Our whole visit was such a delight that we will visit again and have a proper meal!

The Dining Room is now CLOSED and is now THE MUSIC PANTRY, vegetarian, vegan, restaurant with various music events, haven’t been yet but though it might be prudent to advise of the new venture

Very enjoyable Sunday carvery. The vegetarian option was tasty with lots of veggies! My friends all enjoyed the meat options. Desserts were homemade. Sticky toffee pudding was really good, would recommend it!

It’s getting worse and worse here. Poor sauces, tough meat and even the side dishes are tasteless. The chef can’t cook the food that used to be there like Mahboob can. I feel Mahboob has opened too many restaurants and the chef he puts in place isn’t up to the job. It will get quieter and quieter if this continues. Come back Mahboob and save your restaurant!

Dear Sweets, I'm writing to say a massive THANK YOU for one of your staff helping out one of our group on our annual 100 mile ride on Sunday. When we arrived she had just slid into one of the drainage channels on the other side of Glastonbury. It was a scary moment, she is nearly 70 years old and had become totally submerged. We had to drag her out and she was absolutely soaked and covered in sludge. The thing that kept her going was the fact that we were aiming for Sweets and may find help there. When we arrived, you were amazing and let her use a hot shower, with toiletries and a towel. On behalf of our club, Wincanton Wheelers, we can't thank you enough...….. BTW, she did carry on and complete the full 100 miles (she said afterwards that if it hadn't been for the shower, bacon roll and latte she probably would've stopped). Absolutely delicious food could not fault a thing. Staff were amazing and very friendly, and the chef came out to check everything was OK, which was nice

We stayed at The Swan for one night on our way to Cornwall. Our room was lovely, bright, quiet and clean. The staff were great, nothing too much trouble, Lucy especially looked after us so well. Will definitely use again when in the area.
