Dear Sweets, I'm writing to say a massive THANK YOU for one of your staff helping out one of our group on our annual 100 mile ride on Sunday. When we arrived she had just slid into one of the drainage channels on the other side of Glastonbury. It was a scary moment, she is nearly 70 years old and had become totally submerged. We had to drag her out and she was absolutely soaked and covered in sludge. The thing that kept her going was the fact that we were aiming for Sweets and may find help there. When we arrived, you were amazing and let her use a hot shower, with toiletries and a towel. On behalf of our club, Wincanton Wheelers, we can't thank you enough...….. BTW, she did carry on and complete the full 100 miles (she said afterwards that if it hadn't been for the shower, bacon roll and latte she probably would've stopped). With thanks and love, Fran, Debi, Julia, Paul, Russ and Richard xx

It’s really disappointing that Sweets were unable to provide a single Gluten Free cake. Out of the 9 on display there was nothing for me to have with my tea. So basically if you are a Gluten Free person and you want cake, find somewhere else. On the upside, the tea was nice!

What's going on here, been many times because the Cake and meals has been great, but last time we went, they are now charging 65p extra per slice of cake to sit out side and had to carry it out are self's, we travel quite a way to here because it a interesting place. But sad to say, will not be going back, just seems a way of ripping guy off. Maybe that explains why so few people were there such a shame

Don't pay attention to first impressions, it looks a bit rustic but we had one of the best cream teas ever. Huge mug of tea , large warm fruit scone, cream and jam, what's not to like. Came upon this place by chance, seeing cyclists outside. My experience says if it's good enough for cyclists it's worth a visit.

Very limited menu , bacon egg sausage etc baps or baps with cold fillings . Maybe quiche but only one slice and it was 12.15 on a Saturday . Probably suits cyclists and we were walking so got us by ...also nice looking selection of cakes. Badly let down by young indifferent staff who seemed very disorganised and ignored us for some time. Older staff we could hear being lovely to other customers. Tables very grubby, not wiped at all , there was ketchup and food remains on ours. So a mixed review!

We ordered three hot drinks and one sausage roll which arrive somewhat overcooked after 20 minutes, while after 35-minutes we still hadn't seen our hot drinks so asked for a refund, which also proved a challenge for Sweets. We have used previously and was ok but sadly won't use again.

We have dropped by this cafe a few times over the years and without exception had to wait a very long time to be served and even longer to receive our order of coffees and cake. Very popular with pedal cyclists and could do with more staff. A victim of their own success in our opinion.

Fantastic. Staff were very helpful and friendly, offered alternatives for my friend with some food intolerances. Great for motorcyclists with plenty of hard ground car parking spaces. Food was wholesome and sausages were good quality. Delicious cakes, wish I had bought a second for the journey home. We’ll be back! Thanks

Visited whilst out for a drive with my wife who was a cancer sufferer, and unable to walk. I explained this to the staff, who very promptly agreed to let me take drinks out to the car. Nothing too much trouble, and hot tea very welcome for my wife. Will be returning to sample the menu which I was unable to do on this occasion.

Superb atmosphere, the best steak I’ve had in my life! (10oz fillet) chef was so down to earth and welcoming - showed us different cuts of steak and told us about their source. Went above and beyond for service - orders taken quickly and all staff friendly and polite. Felt a very cosy and happy little village pub. Will definitely be back for more steak and the fresh salad bowls that come with it! :) Thank you so much ☺️
