Really great service start to finish, a lovely new chap came to our table to check we were all okay and explained food will just be with us shortly. Very friendly bar staff, Charlie was super helpful and efficient, thanks buddy!! Finally just want to thank Sharron for bringing the humour! A great experience!

Wow…. the carvery was fantastic I live in burnham and have visited the carvery restaurants in the surrounding area - but they were not a patch in The Quantock. The price too was outstanding. - amazing value for money. Can’t wait to go back very very soon.

10 of us went for lunch. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, lovely well cooked carvery and so cheap. Would certainly recommend it.

The staff were very attentive and helpful. Although the pub was really busy the staff still made time for us . The food was hot and well presented. The only thing to let the pub down is it's very tiered looking in places. We sat at table 9 the walls were grubby and in need of a lick of paint. Apart from that we had a good evening. We will be going back again .Back again this year 15/9/24 . Not disappointed, food of a good quality, staff just as friendly, a good all round experience. The pub is very popular, so if you don't book in advance, be prepared for a bit of a wait, especially weekends.

Excellent Breakfast ,with good friendly and professional customer service. Great value for money and very good facilities I.e parking ,toilets and Electric car charging at good rates. I would highly recommend this pub to all my friends and family, infact any one who's looking for a great meal with good service and a good atmosphere. Very good service and food. Friendly and professional staff. Excellent charging facilities for my electric car. Very good car park. They accept armed forces and blue light card which makes it exceptionally good value for money. I would recommend this pub to all my friends and family, infact to anyone. Limited menu, Food nothing special. Good service from our waitress, very loud with children running up and down.

Really disappointed to find on arrival with our dog, that we expected to sit outside in a pod. Whilst the weather was raining heavily. Its the first of many Greene King pubs I've visited around the country, that we haven't been able to sit inside. On arrival we was told to sit anywhere, then when the waitress realised we had dog she told us we to sit outside in a pod. I was really disappointed seeing we had travelled 20 miles to get their. Needless to say we didn't stay.

What a fantastic place for an event or just a lovely meal or drink out with friends and family! The staff were amazing and extremely accommodating, even with it being very busy. The food was very tasty and myself and children were happy and full (love the turkey and stuffing bap). I would definitely recommend to others as we had a great a positive experience and do everytime we visit!!

Just got back from an Amazing Carvery at Restaurant. As always lovely hot meal with plenty if meat and all you want Veg. Very friendly staff, makes us keep returning.

Good food as usual but amazing customer service from Lizzie on the carvery counter, she was busy ensuring all food and choices were there when needed but still took time with the customers and was very polite. A total credit to the pub and team.

Food and service was amazing. I'm not fond of a calvery but omg it was out of this world. It was so busy but yet the staff were efficient and on the ball. Thank you will definitely come back when in the area again.

The food is good value for money and the staff were lovely. We were served by Laura and Terri who were not only helpful but made us laugh too.

Staff friendly, but very few of them. Twenty minutes queue just to order drinks. Meats on the carvery lukewarm and some veg undercooked. No I won't be back.

The tiniest bowl of fries for £5. Seriously!! It was very expensive for heated up food. Very little vegetarian option, unless u want salad. A wider range of adult smaller portions would be nice, too. Menu very uninspiring. Little outdoor cabins were a nice idea, but it would be helpful if there was an electric socket for charging fones or small children's tablets (to keep them occupied whilst waiting for food) Safety in the children's area was concerning. The gate catch was broken, and children could run out into the carpark. On the climbing apparatus, there were monkey bars style 'loops'. There was a wooden strip 'tight rope' style directly underneath. If they slip off, there's nothing to stop them from hitting their heads on hard ground. And it's openly available to children of all ages. Let's be realistic, a parent can not always be there, particularly if they have more than 1 child. Everything needs an overhaul.

Saturday the 17 of August 2024 We had a meeting of new family members so I picked the Quantock gateway as a central location as I was coming from Devon and they were coming from Bristol. I made the reservation with the very pleasant manager. On arrival we were greeted with smiles and a very warm welcome from all the staff we saw. We. were given the option of a booth table away from the main restaurant perfect for us to chat and get acquainted. We opted for the carvery and boy am I glad we did it was delicious perfectly cooked meats and a lovely selection of nicely cooked and presented vegetables. Having been a chef for 26 years I know the stresses but the young lady chef had it covered. The bar staff ( Lorraine ) were very pleasant and helpful, the bar man came out to help us take photos of the family group. I can’t thank the staff enough, the day was perfect We will be back Michael Perry

Went for breakfast and the manager couldn't of been more helpful. Food was good not great but not bad at all. Warm and quick to come out.

We had an amazing breakfast here for our Beaver planning meeting. We previously used another venue which has since closed so this was our first time trying the Quantock for breakfast and it didn't disappoint. Food was excellent with large portions and nothing was too much trouble. Staff were lovely, gave our friend extra beans which she requested and also donated a raffle prize for our local scout group! Would highly reccommend! 🤩

Great place for families with an enclosed play area

We stopped off for food on our way home. We asked can we sit outside and have food. Lady said yes you can scan QR code on table and order on app. Firstly loads of tables didn't have QR code or table numbers outside. Then when we had one we had three to choose from that stated leave feedback. So went inside and got a menu and used QR code on that. It worked OK. Girl bought out the drinks and gave us two tickets and said food will be out shortly. Now as we ordered a standard carvery and a small carvery we thought it was odd and also one ticket said standard and other had drinks order no small, after a short while had to go in and ask and was told you go to counter and collect your meat then help yourself to veg. My partner had to take phone with complete order on it to counter. Food was not the best. Beef you could have soled a pair of shoes with as it was so tough and grisly. Cauliflower was dry and hard and gravy no taste and very little of it. Sorry but would not go there again.

Great place for families or large groups as well as couples, plenty of parking, great garden, food is typical pub grub done well. Lovely carvery served every day. Friendly staff and never seen any trouble there.

Middle of the range eatery, carvery was good when we went. Would not be high up for a high quality food night out but also nothing majorly wrong. Outdoor play area good for young families.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Pub is serving free meal for kids during school summer holiday but there’s no friendly customer service we received. Long Wait for the food. You need to ring the bell many times for the carvery.

Our group of 10 wandered in on Sunday , and despite many items on the menu being sold out, we all had a meal and dessert. Served by happy, friendly staff.

We often pop in here with the kids, it’s a great place to have some food and for the kids to play. The staff are fantastic, friendly and always attentive. If there’s ever any issues they’re more than happy to help. Will continue to come with my friends and the kids - the kids eat free with an adult meal is a massive bonus in the holidays.

Come here quite often, twice this week always look forward to their carvery which is really reasonably priced and genuinely good food! Bonus this week with the kids eating free throughout the summer holidays, £10.79 for a large carvery and 2 kids carveries you really can’t go wrong! And the large carvery was absolutely huge!! Amazing value for money, many more returns to come 😄

You know what you are getting with a Greene King. Food was good. Some veg a bit overcooked. But you can’t fault the quantity you can get. Food also came out quickly as some in the party didn’t get a roast dinner. Marked down 1 star as was with kids that wanted to use the play area. This was quite poor condition, which was a shame on such a nice day.

Simply the best pub locally; wholly recommend. Suggest booking to avoid disappointment as always busy!

I came in tonight with my partner and kids for a meal with my Mum, we were greeted by the Duty Manager who was very friendly and made sure to include the kids in the greeting, we had a quick chat and we made our way to our table. Food had a 45 minute wait but still came in under half an hour so very happy, there was a small issue but it was quickly and professionally dealt with by the floor staff and the duty manager. The kids had an ultimate ice cream sundae, which honestly looked amazing. The floor staff were very friendly and engaged with us well and I'd like to give special thanks to the duty manager for looking after us from start to finish. We left as a very happy party.

Went to the Quantock today for a family meal. They were incredibly busy and informed us that there may be up to a 45 mins wait. That was fine, we were meeting up with the mother in law so it gave us time to catch up. However, food was out in about 20 mins so I was pleasantly surprised. Brought out the kids food first which was a bonus. We had a slight issue with the cheese burger, but after speaking to the duty manager, it was very quickly resolved. Nothing was too much trouble. All of the staff there were rushed off thier feet, but the customer service was still amazing and the staff still had a smile on there faces. Only reason it wasn't a 5 star was the little hiccup with the kids cheese burger. Ohh and BTW, kids eat free all summer so bonus, get down there, there's no excuse.

Great little carvery come pub which caters for the whole family. Good selection of beers and other drinks. The food selection covers for most people, the carvery is very good in price wise and will not empty your wallet. Better to book a table than just turning up.

The worse place I have ever eaten food. I had the carvery and honestly just don’t. EHO would have a field day visiting this place.

We came here recently for a 60th wedding anniversary celebration, we had booked for around 30 of us and the staff were excellent, so helpful in organising the food! We had a mixture of orders and carvery, but they made sure we were all eating at the same time and everyone's order was correct and hot. The food is what you expect of a greene king pub, enjoyable, not the highest quality, but tasty and filling! Everyone left full and happy! The staff were so generous having organised a card and gift for the couple celebrating! They made the whole event run smoothly and be enjoyable for all as no one was worrying about anything!

Squeezed us in before the football even though they were really busy. Quick & friendly service. Carvery was delicious and fresh!

Welcomed as we arrived for a family 60th anniversary meal ,with flowers for the couple. Helpful staff. Orders delivered as near together as possible with a group of 30. Good selection of food which everyone enjoyed. Well done Nick.

Well i can honestly say i was completely overwhelmed, the manager Nick, who by the way i have never met before absolutely made my night a massive thank you for your kindness, generosity and a banging roast. One of my regular stop off places when out walking on the Quantocks.

Seagulls outside a nuisance. Ladies toilet.... Was going to try and catch staff about this.... Cldnt access paper.... Lot on the floor by dirty people who for some reason think it's OK to leave loo untidy. Pick up your paper and wash your hands. You wldnt leave your toilet at home like that...... Otherwise OK.

Just had to wait over 30 minutes for 2 pints ordered off the app. Shocking

I arrived at 1 on a Sunday , and I asked if I could have a table and a carvery. I was lucky the man on the door showed me to one , the food was very good, fresh and the Yorkshire puddings were hudge. Great choice of veg. Just be patient at the que for food.

We couldn't fault this place, the food was excellent the carvery food especially. The best carvery we've ever had.

Great food and lovely service will happily go again as I really enjoyed the food and the options available to my group can't wait for my next trip there Only downside being that we had the last couple Yorkshire puddings from their roast buffet so were very dried out under the heat lamps, along with mash potatoes being quite dry due to heat lamps again, think they need to have small portions of them, so they get replaced sooner

Great carvery at great value, but main menu dishes are on the small side. All the wonderful drinks you find at most pubs available, be it alcoholic or soft. Booking advised. And be prepared to wait as it gets busy. Well worth a carvery

After a very busy weekend there was a limited choice on the Monday when we went.

Zac was very helpful asked for a few bits and he got them for us and also when we had a bit of trouble with our food he was able to sort it all out for us. He was super helpful and very professional. Food was very nice and tasted amazing everything about the quantock is amazing definitely recommend.

The roast diner was mediocre at best the cauliflower in cheese sauce had no cheese sauce just mozzarella thrown over cauliflower a member of kitchen staff miss c Taylor came behind the carvery counter with her hair not tied back or a hair net on . Our server Zac was polite proffesional and extremely helpful and well mannered and friendly to say the least was very impressed with the young gentlemen

Great lunch celebrating my partner's birthday!

Terrible food, dry & vastly overcooked. The table was sticky & waited quite a while for the new barmaid to be shown, how to pour a pint & use the till.

My only criticism is the cauliflower cheese needs some work with the roast dinners, an overpowering flavour of mustard and not alot of cheese, other than that pretty bang for your buck
