Great place for a carvery! I had lasagna and it was the cheesiest one I've ever had. Absolutely delicious. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The Yorkshire puds are as big as your head! Can't praise this place enough. I'll definitely be back.

We got married at the local registry office at 3pm and as it was just the both of us we decided to go to this pub for a meal as we hadn't been there for over a year (we will be attending more often as of now) and we hadn't planned anything else for that afternoon/evening we was welcomed by lovely and friendly staff that went above and beyond to make sure we was enjoying our visit. Thank you to the excellent staff at the quantock gateway for giving us our meal for free we appreciate your kind gesture very much and made our day even better than already was thank you

Had to wait ages for my food meanwhile I noticed black mold inside a picture frame and lamp shades. Staff weren’t very happy to be there and tables were not clean at all. Needs improvement food was not pleasing at all

Enjoyed the most fantastic carvery at the quantock today. I have tried carveries in many places but this was 100% the best I have ever had. Fresh produce perfectly cooked and definitely plenty of it but the icing on the cake for me was the biggest homemade Yorkshire pudding I have ever seen. Absolutely delicious food. Nick and the team were friendly and welcoming. I will certainly be back again. A massive thankyou to you all.

Had lunch here today with daughter. I had Vegetarian option for Roast dinner. I had cheese and potato pie which was very large but tasteless. Chunks of potato inside a hard crusts with a cheese sauce... Don't bother. The vegetables were OK but the sprouts looked like they had been around a while. Had to ask which was the Vegetarian gravy as not marked. Daughters meal ok she had fries mac and cheese which to be fair you can't go far wrong. £3.40 for a fanta too was a complete rip off. Standards are down. Oh and to be called 'sweet' all of the time was a bit annoying 😑.....I did mention the pie to a young gentleman who apologised to me and to be fair it's not his fault.

Had a great carvery on Sunday, Infact been few times lately on different days and always been great and great value for money.

Food was absolutely amazing, cooked by kyle 100% recommended steak was spot on and mum loved her food, starters and mains were on point. Terri and the team was amazing nothing was to much hassle will definitely come back.

My friend and I visited on 25th November. We shared the chicken combo . My friend had a dodgy upset stomach a few hours after.

I went for lunch with my son, followed by drinks with my friends. The service was speedy and exceptionally friendly. The staff made me feel more than welcome and I never felt hurried. Nick is a great landlord, always open to ideas and suggestions and happy to make time for you even when exceptionally busy. Teri is also extremely friendly without being overbearing. I will be back!

Great evening for a family party. Good hot food, carvery was lush, the serving staff went the extra mile, lovely steak cooked to perfection. Compliments to the chef! Visit the quantock most weekends (& sometimes mid-week too!) staff are always welcoming & efficient. Quality of food is fab, a few times we’ve had an issue but it’s been rectified quickly by staff! At this point we’ve probably had most items on the menu & there is nothing i’d avoid - everything is delicious & super value for money!

Dreadful carvery, poor quality food. Ordered extra portion of Pigs in Blankets, told they would be served at table but never arrived. Refund request was slow but was given.

We went for a Birthday celebration breakfast, and found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. The full English breakfast was amazing value. With large portions, and very good quality and perfectly cooked food, what's not to like?. Recommended.

Came in Saturday afternoon with my family, we all got a carvery and was served by a very friendly man, he made us feel welcome and asked if there was anything else we needed. I didn't get his name but he was quite short. Sorry if this offends him. Food was perfectly cooked and was delicious. Empty plates all round, will definitely be back.

Visited with my family and couldn’t have asked for anything better. Would recommend to all.

Greeted excellently by a man who I presume was the manager, did everything he could to get our table ready as quickly as he could. Went to the bar while we were waiting and the lady who served us I felt was quite rude and abrupt. Went to our table and then back to the bar where I ordered our food by a different yet equally rude manored lady. I appreciate it was busy and probably stressful but being polite goes a long way. Then we faced a 40 minute queue for our carvery! Absolutely ridiculously slow service. One lady carving the meat doing her best who was lovely and calm given the situation. Food was nice though, there was plenty to choose from. All staff on the floor in the restaurant were also very nice, just a shame about the ones behind the bar!

I have to give a big shout out to the manager he is so friendly and welcoming had an amazing carvery tonight can't wait to go back and try the breakfast menu 5 stars all the way 😋

At this time we didn't have food, but people around us had a it look very nice. I attended the pub quiz night it was great, lots of people doing the quiz.

Friendly welcome as soon as we arrived. We were shown to a quiet table so my husband's service dog had space. From ordering our drinks to our meals staff were professional and helpful. Our meals were fantastic and amazing value.

Food is fantastic, especially the carvery and mix grill. Staff and the manager are welcoming and so easy to talk to, and to have a laugh with. Definitely recommend to go with family and friends, or if u want to go on your own. It's a great atmosphere all round

Lovely place to go for breakfast, pub meal and a carvery! It's cheap and cheerful for the price. The atmosphere is very friendly and a great experience. It's not a pub where you feel rushed to eat or drink. It's perfect to have rounds of drinks and chill out with family and friends.

Amazing value for money! We have started coming every weekend for a breakfast. The service is always lovely and welcoming. It’s a calm atmosphere but very friendly. Staff are always great with kids, super kind and willing to have a conversation. We came a few weeks ago for our 7 year olds birthday weekend and the staff made a big deal of her birthday. Thank you for always being so lovely.

Dropped in towards the end of food service after a long drive down to Taunton...nice, authentic local, lovely low ceilings amd lots of wood beams!! Food was reasonably priced and good quality. Had the Sunday lunch, a few items not available but to be expected late in the day. Good selection of ales and a cosy feel.

I had wonderful service, I am disabled and the support given by Nick and Terri was amazing. They were so kind,, caring and very helpful.

This is the 3rd/4th time we have visited this pub. Use it as a meeting place when visiting my dad. Always friendly staff and great food. The outside play area is great to keep my daughter entertained. Keep up the good work.

My son and I came in for an early carvery and could not fault the price, food or service. Fantastic selection of carvery food and fresh, generous portions of meat.

Got a seat, waited 20 minutes for a server to take a drinks order, I had to go up and ask to be served. I had a 1 hour slot 35 mins in I had to ask about going up for food and went up almost 10 minutes later, they have a weird system where they call you up, I noticed older people and takeaways had priority no matter what time you book your table. Loads of people skip the table queuing system by buying take out food which makes it much longer for seated guests to get food. Food looked good however by the time I platted my food and sat down all the veg was cold, the roasted potatoes were the only things hot, gravy was Luke warm. Condiments are at the beginning by the meat which I found really odd. Left over half the food and my drink was awful, I asked for a lemonade with a little lime and it was like the poured half a bottle of lime in there. Service was non existent, and you need to remind staff to serve you. The take away should not take presidency over table service. The price was just over £19 for a meal and a soft drink, definitely not worth it. And the locals must know that having a seat in the bar and getting a takeaway is the best way to be served. Toilets are inadequate for such a large pub and the amount of people they cram in

We came here for the bridge water carnival. Staff members and management couldn’t do enough for us. Manage to seat a big group of us, (last min request) cater all food provided. Great wide range of options. Great free kids meals for children. Great portions. Then deserts there was a missed communication on deserts but once this was raised about waiting time. The team couldn’t apologise enough, and provided extra deserts, the kids walked away chocolate happy. Play area fab area for children to play. Over all a fab experience and great manager I forgot his name, but what a credit he is to the team. Keep up your great work staff. Thankyou again.

Came here for a Sunday carvery and honestly was blown away was greeted by a very friendly gentleman who took us to our table..the food was cooked to perfection massive compliments to the chefs lots of variety of meats and veg on offer..fantastic atmosphere will certainly be back very soon cannot recommend this place enough

Great experience, we booked for 4 of us and had a last minute change to 9. The manager was great at sorting out a table for us. Went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with everything. All staff were very helpful from beginning to end. Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.

Brilliant cavery, hot and fresh, me and my family come here regularly and we always are served by the tall gentleman with glasses. (Apologies u can’t recall him name) Him and his team were quick and efficient, the app was a bit slow but the service was excellent!

Went in today on my own managed to get squeezed in to have a carvery made to feel very welcome by nick and the team!. And the carvery was great as always fairplay to nath and the team carving the meats and keeping the food topped up the servings were very generous! would definitely recommend visiting but would recommend booking in advance. 10/10 overall service keep up the good work guys!

Our server Mianee was absolutely lovely, fast and friendly service with a smile. Even brought out a birthday cake our group had brought with us.

Came for a carvery at lunchtime with my daughter from Kent. The food today was exceptionally good, turkey and beef was extremely tasty and very tender. A wide selection of vegetables was available. Mashed potato was lovely and creamy. Carrots were cooked just right. The staff were helpful and polite, Nick is very friendly and does his very best to welcome and accommodate all customers. I also bumped into a friend who had come from Wellington to have his Sunday lunch, so Quantocks reputation for excellence is quite widespread. It's also very reasonably priced. I had my 60th birthday dinner here also last year, plus my 50th too .. 5 stars all round from us ..

Went here before the carnival started and the food was lovely, £10 for a burger and a pint can't go wrong. Will definitely be back again.

Always tasty Sunday roast and other meals. It seems on Tuesday they were a bit understaffed but manager did amazing job in multitasking. I recommend.

2nd time I've been meat over cooked and to chewy and veg under heat lamp for so long there's no nutrition left wilted no colour frozen roast potatoes are served never again

Group of friends invited us for dinner we had eaten here before but always carvery and it was good. This time we ordered off the menu and we'll.......... It was awful my food was cold the beans were covered in BBQ sauce garlic bread was burnt staff was sparce/ far and few between I did complain and yes they did change my dinner but apart from the chicken wings it was just as bad the second time. On a plus kids ate free but 2 meals 2 pudding 3 drinks was £45 totally horrendous for cold or burnt food. Then to top it off they bring the puddings with half the ice-cream missing it couldn't have gotten any worse. Refund requested wasn't even overly busy Update expressed our concerns over everything to the team leader on duty All meals and puddings were refunded and we're very apologetic Just paid for our drinks which was fine Will I eat here again ....... Honestly I don't know

We have been coming throughout most the summer and overall have really enjoyed coming. Staff are always friendly and polite. Food is good. Sometimes when really busy there is a bit of a wait but with the play area outside and being able to bring the dog to the garden makes it easier.

Food is really nice, sometimes there's long queues especially on Sundays as it's so popular. Was served by Hoshi who smiled a lot and was polite

We were there on October 16, 24 at around 4 p.m. The parking fee is free, but you must not forget to give your license plate at the entrance when registering. The coffee and service were very good. The restaurant and the whole environment are great

Can I just say a BIG thank you to Nick, I think his name was, for doing a quite remarkable job. The 5 stars are for him & the chef. Nick was the only person working the afternoon shift. Greeting customers, taking orders, doing the bar, bringing the extremely delicious food to people's table, but doing it in an incredibly calm manner. The 4 of us at our table all agreed that if we were working in those conditions, we would have closed up and gone home. I do hope Greene King realise what a great employee they have working for them.
