My partner and i visited The orchard hoping to have a nice lunch , upon entering the pub we thought it looked clean so decided to lunch there, we were seated by a friendly staff member and ordered our drinks which arrived promptly to our table however when we were about to order we noticed a very large dog literally up at the bar (paws on the bar top) and staff didn't even ask for the dog to be kept away from the bar but carried on serving the drinks to its owner and patted the dogs head , now while i have a dog myself i don't think it is hygienic for a dog to be up at the bar or where food is served or where food is consumed by members of the public

Had a private room booked for a wake with buffet and drinks. Great food and service, staff were lovely. Have called back into the pub for a 4 persons family meal. Expensive but good hearty food. Thank you to all the staff.

Very welcoming, lovely, helpful staff. Varid ,tasty menu with good selection of specials and desserts (always to full for dessert!) Dogs made very welcome by staff and regulars. Certainly visit when next in the area.

Popped in on the off chance. 3 cold meats chips and salad absolutely fantastic. Good varied menu

Lovely Sunday carvery. Very accommodating for the vegetarian in our party. Puddings were delicious too!

A warm welcome and very good menus. The 'light bites' menu provides a generous meal - leaving room for pudding! Good value and excellent service. We will return.

Our 1st visit today so didn't know to expect but we surely weren't disappointed. A wonderful atmosphere to the place coupled with wonderful food. We all ate from the Light Bite menu, but the portion size was more than enough, especially to leave room for one of their delicious home made desserts!! As I said, our 1st visit but very hopefully not our last!!

A decent pint. However the food is more to a greasy spoon standard. Over priced on some items for what you receive a lot of people eat with there eyes and if what’s put in front of you is bland boring and clearly cheap product it’s never truly enjoyable. However a lovely pub nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. A few tweaks in the product they use for there food & it would be a perfect pub

Came here for a birthday meal, staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was really good, everyone in the party also agreed how nice the food was, it's hard to find a decent place to eat out now.. but I do recommend this place.

A lovely warm welcome from all the staff when I came in with my two girls today after a windy day at the coast. Delicious food and great hospitality - they went out of their way for us, and I will definitely return next time I'm in the area. Thank you.

Lovely friendly atmosphere. Good food with a nice specials board which changes regularly so plenty of choice from the main menu or the specials. The staff are lovely and you want to go back again and again. They are also dog friendly.

Five people ate we all had different meals all great ..service was good too

What a lovely place. As soon as you walk in you get the wow factor, but a word to the wise you need to book as this place gets busy. We were met by the barman who was helpful and friendly and arranged our drinks and showed us to our table. We then met the wonderful waitress who was also helpful and friendly. The chef serving the carvery food was so friendly and we did have a laugh, it certainly makes a difference when staff make you feel welcome. Food was very reasonably priced and tasted so good. Would highly recommend and well done everyone.

Took a party of 17, one of whom had certain food allergies. We were greeted by the owners who made us so welcome. They waited until all the party had arrived then served the pre ordered meals swiftly. We found the whole atmosphere relaxing, with an efficient and friendly staff. All members of the party remarked on the excellence of the food including the special "allergy" meal. We agreed we would use this venue again

Star dropped overall due to:-- Conveniences not so convenient for someone disabled or on crutches, due to two steps. This is THE ONLY DOWNSIDE to this place.. We love the food here, especially the cottage pie.. Food is served with several choices of FRESH VEG, which doesn't make many menus these days, and not everything comes with chips! I'd eat there everyday if I could get away with it. Found staff and customers equally friendly too. Always find the place clean, even when busy. PS. If you decide on take-out (face it, food that good you want for dinner n tea next day, imho) take own containers, order an extra dinner and load..that's best..((*_*)) HAPPY DAYS 😊

Really enjoyed a huge mixed grill, excellent quality meat, cooked to perfection, the sausages were some of the best I have ever eaten, would love to know whe e to buy these, friendly welcoming staff.

Went in for a carvery and boy was it lovely.. the meat looked dry, but certainly wasn't! Great banter from the chef, definitely will use again

I was here on Monday 22nd January with a funeral party for a very dear lady who passed away just before Christmas . The buffet was excellent and I know The orchard went out of their way to cater for people and above and beyond what they quoted for. Lovely tea and coffee too. A lovely selection of rolls and picks and I was happy with the vegan plate ordered for me, thank you! A lovely pub and a lovely setting and decor too. The lady was lovely and the fact they had 2 funeral parties that day and managed to organise everything so well shows how compassionate and committed they are to the business and people. I will definitely come next time I’m back in the area.

Great place very good host's they care and take pride in there food can't praise them enough there faggots and mash are something else also the liver and onions are superb fully reccomend you visit will be back down there in Feb 24 mmmm

This place serves a huge choice of very good food, with large portions, with friendly and helpful staff. It’s not expensive and is well worth a visit at lunchtime.

Food good and service friendly & polite. Only criticism was that the Bailey's Cheesecake didn't taste of Bailey's at all, so slightly disappointing.

Add a lovely evening meal there and it was spot on for me it would of been a 5 out of 5 for the food most things were on point on the plate.BUT only one thing let it down which to be fair it seems to be a done thing down south/west most pub's seem to do (FROZEN CHIPS) 🤯 Hand cutt chips all the way I just don't get it 😔 I add the mixed grill the wife add the fillet steak

Had a really lovely Sunday roast. The buffet was hot, and a large selection of vegetables was provided. Well cooked food, all served by friendly staff. Fully recommended.

Love this place. There are so many other places that basically do not provide value for money it is a relief to get here. The food is great, home cooking style, the service is great and we'd go there just by being in the area.

Just an average pub/restaurant got a carvey decent and the bar as well not to bad but not to good just in the middle.

Great place to visit. We were in the area on avisit from South Wales and had fantastic service and a great meal in the Orchard Inn. A must fir anyone visiting the area. Great and welcoming staff, when we are next in the area it's on our list to revisit.

Good selection of drinks fast service but never feel rushed.

Place for pleasant service and good old fashion pub grub. Prices are fair and it's all round enjoyable.

Attending a Funeral and the Staff and Buffet at the Wake was very nice.

Sunday Carvery quite good, nice selection of meats, York pudd .. service good, price was ok. Staff service was very good.

Sadly my recent visits here have both been for wakes as it's near the crematorium. The place is so helpful and good for this, they put on a decent spread and look after everything.

The orchard was the venue for a wake I was attending. The service was great and the food provided was lovely. Also a great location as not too far from the crematorium.

Was part of a group on their Christmas Meal. The food was very good and great value for money. The staff were very friendly.

Called in here on the first night we arrived in Highbridge (staying just down the road from the pub). Food was fantastic, good sized portions at a good price & friendly staff. I had the lasagne & it was the best that I have had for years! So tasty & piping hot. Hubby had the shepherds pie, this was also very tasty. Would definitely recommend & visit again if in the area ⭐

We were stuck in a queue of traffic on the A38 and decided to stop here for a bite to eat. What a lovely experience! A proper traditional pub, comfortable surroundings, delicious home cooked food and such friendly and helpful staff. So glad we stopped!

First visit to the Orchard Inn and from the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and the place is stunning. Waitresses were very helpful and polite and our meals were superb. I had the surf and turf and my fiancee had the 5oz rump. Both cooked to perfection. Onto the desserts where I had the Nutella cheesecake and my fiancee chocolate fudge cake. Again these were out of this world 🤤🤤 I recommend you try this place as we will most definitely be coming back. Thank you again for making our evening that extra special

Me and my family visited last night, 12 August 2022,what a fantastic place,great food at great prices,staff were superb. I had the steak and ale pie which was packed with beef which came in a separate pot All I can say is try The Orchard,you won't regret it👍👍👍👍

Went there for dinner yesterday with family. My prawn cocktail was full of lettuce stumps, prawns were chewy and the sauce-was none existence… I then had the Chicken, it was so over cooked and dried out could not eat it sent it back … Never going back there..

Disappointing. We mentioned to 2 members of staff that we felt the smoked haddock served was on its way to being 'off ' - it smelled incredibly 'high. Both staff members were unconcerned! We wouldn't eat there again!

Early sunny Fri evening. Dog friendly, fast service, nice staff, clean. Sat outside not many tables but enough. Unfortunately never got to try the amazing food but what we seen was beautiful. Definitely our go-to place next time in area.

Staff pleasant so gave 3* but unfortunately we were unable to taste the food as we had arrived after the kitchen was closed. Completely our fault, hopefully will come when kitchen is open and be able to give a better experience rating.

Nice staff. We have been serving by nice lady on Saturday midday, she is nice smiling person. Food as expected.

Turned up at 2055 only to be told they were closing and refused to serve a drink. Very disappointing and not worthy of any custom...

Nice place, friendly staff and very welcoming

Felt it we were in a place where older people visited and had a satisfying meal with friendly staff. Unfortunately for us not quite what we were looking for. I had the ploughman's and though the staff were very accommodating with gluten-free bread, though the other items were probably bought from the shop rather that being homemade. We have been twice now and probably won't visit again.

We were celebrating and they accomadated us fabulously. We were a gluten free, vegan, and lactose free group. There were various choices on the menu, the food was fantastic. The service was excellent. Thank you for making it a very special day.
