We ate here yesterday in the bar area. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and great food. We both chose vegetarian meals and they were excellent (sweet potato and spinach red coconut curry with mushroom wild rice, and an amazing celeriac, chestnut and wild mushroom stroganoff). It felt as though the chef had really put thought into ensuring the veggie options were interesting and delicious.

Really cosy place to stay. We stayed in the attic room which had everything you'd want, coffee machine and more importantly a bath tub. The town itself is really charming, has a lot of character. The pub has. A great selection of alles (including butcombe) and a nice selection of ciders( thatchers rascal, thatchers gold and kicking goat cider) and is really atmospheric, the food was also really pleasant and delicious. Would recommend to stay if in the area.

Looking for that elusive short-break hideaway where a fabulous old pub, warm welcome, delightful decor, and scrumptious food combine in a heartwarming cocktail of indulgent joy? Well, look no further than the Swan, an old coaching inn nestling in the quintessentially charming Somerset village of Wedmore. This is what winding down and spoiling yourself, and one another, is all about. I cannot compliment the owners and staff enough for their attention to detail, meticulous customer service and all-round bonhomie. Why jump on a plane when you can wallow in this sumptuous pocket of paradise! 👏🤗

Absolutely beautiful food in a stunning village. I had the Wild mushroom & celeriac stroganoff, with miso roasted chestnuts. Wow, perfectly cooked, with a moorish flavor and sauce. My friend had the Free range turkey, glazed parsnip, turkey butter roasted potatoes. He also was very happy with his lovely food. For dessert, an incredible sourdough bread pudding with a homemade butterscotch sauce and vanilla ice cream. Delicious coffee as well. I will return often. Wonderful service as well.

We stayed for one night breaking up our journey down to Cornwall. What a great decision! They had upgraded us to a lovely room, it is super dog friendly. The food in the bar was excellent and the ambience was very chilled. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic with quality produce. They even made extra sausages for our dog. The staff were lovely and friendly and always made a fuss over our dog. We will definitely be staying here again.

We had booked a table for 8 for lunch last Sunday so we could celebrate my Mum's birthday. Having heard good things about The Swan beforehand, we were very much looking forward to our meal. Wow! The food did not disappoint. Most of us went for the roast chicken or pork belly, and we all agreed that it was one of the best we'd ever tasted. Beautifully cooked, great portions and, therefore, superb value. The bar has now been set high, against which all future Sunday lunches will be judged. My son's burger and my nephew's pizza were also of the highest standard and both got a definite thumbs up from the younger members of our party. To this I should add that we received very efficient and courteous service from the waiting staff, and the restaurant area itself was a lovely setting for our celebration. We'll be back!

Seriously one of the best Sunday roasts I've had. I went for the triple roast. Fantastic and the potatoes were great. I was overly keen on the pork belly but the rest was so good I have to give it 5 stars. The chicken had so much flavour and was perfectly cooked.

Came for a premeal pint and then, once we saw the menu, decided to stay. Fab atmosphere, food and service. We had the pork and crab for starters, both fantastic. Then the chicken and mackerel. EAT THE MACKERAL, amaze balls. Finished with a couple of fab desserts (cos sensible portion sizes) and a dessert wine and cocktail to finish. Will now plan future work trips around this place. So impressed, go for it. Don't hesitate to give it a try.

Beautiful village with this wonderful pub with rooms. The room was huge with a fabulous free standing bath. Staff were incredibly welcoming and kind. We ate in the restaurant and we loved our food, delicious antipasto and pizza. We were very lucky to be there on a Wednesday as we could buy bread and pies from the pop up bakery. The chicken and mushroom pie was the best I have eaten. We absolutely loved our stay.

Service at the restaurant tonight is deplorable. Gentleman at the front sat us quickly. Waitress did not come until we went to find out if they had forgotten us. She claimed she thought someone else was taking care of our table. Bad communication or they just don't care. Smallest portion of fish I've ever seen. Service did not improve as the meal progressed.

This is a great place. Lovely dining areas and the garden looked beautiful. We had a "snack" lunch - delicious sandwiches which came with chips. Didn't need any more good for the rest of the day! Bread was delicious. Nice location in a pretty village. I think it would be a very nice place to stay for a couple of nights to explore the area.

A great hotel in the lovely idyllic village of Wedmore. What a fantastic place. The staff were so polite and welcoming. The room was large and very comfortable with everything catered for. (tea/coffee, hairdryer, toiletries) . Breakfast was lovely, with the full english going down well. I would come back to stay or cycle to this place just to sit in the garden. Highly recommended.

Chose to stay at The Swan after finding them on muddy stilettos, and following on instagram for a while. The bar and restaurant has a lovely boutique style to it, and the staff were very nice, however we walked away feeling very disappointed after our stay. We informed the hotel that we were bringing two dogs, and most places we go to always put a small touch in the room, whether that is treats, dog bed, or a bowl. Guests would really appreciate this if you were to do this. We had dinner that evening, ordering the focaccia, burger and the braised chicory. The burger were very average, and my vegetarian dish was literally two halves of chicory in a bed of tomato sauce, not even sure where the black quinoa was, or if it had been left out. For an AA rosette restaurant, I had high expectations, but this was very bland and quite the opposite. We had issues with the room and the radiator not turning off, which was not good for the dogs or us. We ended up having to change rooms at 10:30pm as the wide open windows and fan in the room wasn’t helping. When it came to check out, we were presented a dog ‘goody bag’ to say ‘sorry’. There was a tag on the bag saying ‘enjoy your stay’, which I’m assuming may have been what was meant to be in the room at the start of the stay, so this was more of a kick in the teeth. Eventually they did deduct our drinks and the dog charge off the bill. They sent us our invoice as an attachment to a email with no wording to apologize, or explain what they had done with the bill. All in all we did not have an enjoyable stay, and would have had a nicer time staying at home without spending over £200.

Warm welcome by staff, clean and very presentable room, although dog friendly doesn't have that wet doggie odour which is great. Loved the complimentary toiletries. Food was fresh and tasty and service with a smile. Would happily return.

Was appalled that this business is cashless. Service charge automatically added even though only 3 of us. I hope that the staff actually get the tips. I had cash with me and they wouldn't accept it even though it's legal tender. WiFi is often down in this neck of the woods and I urge them to rethink this policy.

Chargrilled burger besteld. Yeah right....

Rooms are fairly decent, usual Premier Inn standards. Location is ok if you're just looking for a bed. There isn't much to do without having to drive. The biggest negative of this hotel is the restaurant! Bookings are a nightmare as you can never get in at a decent time. Then there is the wait for food. It took me nearly 40 mins just to get some chicken wings! All this and it wasn't even that busy, so I'd suggest hiring another chef. Staff are all friendly enough 👍🏻

Tuckers Fish and Chips is a great spot for a quick and tasty meal. The food was delicious, with perfectly crispy fish and fluffy chips. It was reasonably priced, and we were pleasantly surprised by how quickly everything was served. A perfect stop if you're in the area and craving traditional fish and chips!
