Outstanding Indian restaurant - great staff, great food and a great atmosphere. This place is relatively small so booking is essential but once there it’s a really great find. Well worth travelling for. Portions are sensible and service very professional but not overbearing. Cannot speak highly enough and will definitely be returning soon.

We had a take away and were very impressed with the quality and quantity of food. Both vegetarians, and there’s lots of choice. The paneer dishes are particularly good The food tasted fresh & full of flavour

Very poor service and starters were so slow, it was very disorganised. We ordered water and a coke etc for 6 of us with the drinks and they didn’t get brought out, they got forgotten. Poppadoms got forgotten with the starters, starters took 40 mins to come out. We also got charged for a kids meal when it didn’t even come out either, we come very regularly (at least twice a month) and this is the worst it has been in 6 months for sure, the kitchen and bar staff/waiters massively missed organised.

On Holiday in Wedmore so decided to eat out at Table Eight. First impressions were great. Nice decor and everything looked clean and tidy. We were served promptly and the starters came in good time. We were asked if everything was okay and we started to tuck in. 15 seconds into the starters we were again asked if everything was okay, which we confirmed it was. I lost track of the amount of times we were asked if everything was okay throughout the entire meal. It’s very nice to check, but it became so frequent that it just constantly interrupted the meal having to pause our conversation and meal to say “very nice, thank you” every couple of minutes. After a while you start to think “why shouldn’t everything be okay?, are we missing something?”. The food itself was great and we really enjoyed it. We asked for the bill, confirmed everything was okay a few more times and paid using cash. The bill was reasonable (it’s bring your own wine so this obviously has an impact on the bill). We sat waiting for our change for quite some time and confirmed a few more times that the food was lovely while we waited… and waited. We always leave a tip, however the change we were waiting on was about a tenner and unfortunately were not in a position to be that flash. After waiting quite some time we had to awkwardly ask for our change. Eventually after the message being passed through just about everyone in the restaurant, we were presented with our change in coins in the palm of the waiters hand. Soooo awkward!!! Anyway, to summarise : Great food band a nice place. “Is everything okay” once per course would suffice and give customers their change back and let them decide if they want to leave a tip.

On arriving at this restaurant 6.45pm (pre-booked weeks ago ) ,we was asked to wait outside of the establishment as a party of people had still not finished their meal. We was asked to come back at 7.30pm,of which we did but then was told yet again to return back at 8pm. Eventually we was placed at a table ordered our starters then waited. During our starters we was asked to order our main courses, the curries came out along with naan breads but only one rice had been served. We enquired about the remaining rice and was promptly served ,of which we thought was a bit strange. We finished our meal at 10pm, considering we had book for 7pm ,seems a long time to eat so late. Although the food was lovely, we all felt disappointed with the service , particularly one of staff seemed abrupt and a tad rude. Recommended from a good source, however our eating experience along with the customer treatment seemed poor.

Excellent meal, great service and a good price. The place is a Bring your own booze place but it is in the grounds of The George Pub, so, if you haven’t got any at home, you can buy drinks in the pub and take them into the restaurant

I have been going to table 8 for years and have never had a bad meal until we visited for the Sunday evening buffet. Starters were delicious. For the main I ordered a chicken korma when it arrived after 1 mouthful I discovered the whole dish was RAW!!!!!!! When I say raw I mean completely raw pink chicken. What the hell is going on!!!! I was disgusted and furious but my husband begged me not to say anything and make a scene. So instead we paid the bill and left and vouched never to eat there again.

Waited an hour and a half for main meal which was very average. Both ‘speciality’ mains tasted the same with grisly chicken in one. Absent of stomata just a thick tomatoey sauce, did not enjoy

Worst curry I have ever had. Cheap meat smothered in tomato sauce. Had to wait for an hour for takeaway. Save yourself the disappointment and go with a Charlie Binghams,

Excellent take away! Came here back in 2018 while we were on holiday. On our return we were not going to miss the opportunity to have another take away AND it did not disappoint. We recommend to all our family and friends if you are in the area, call here for a beautiful meal!

5 years since our last meal from Table Eight!!! Thank you COVID!!! It was worth the wait, the food did not disappoint!!!! Large portions and really, really tasty food, I would thoroughly recommend it. Let's hope it isn't 5 years before my next visit.

Second visit to this little gem in Wedmore, I had to go back as the first was so good! Brought our own beer & cider from the local store across the way to wash down some fantastic Indian food perfectly cooked and served in no time at all. Some excellent chef special dishes to choose from. Sides and nan faultless. Can't wait to return.

Lovely meal at the Indian restaurant in Wedmore. The food was excellent. I had King prawn dhansak; my friends had King prawn pasanda and chicken balti, which they both enjoyed. The sauces were delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant is unlicensed so we took our own drinks.

We’ve used Table Eight many times for takeaways and it never fails to please. Our favourite is the Chicken Dansak which is of a consistently high standard. Absolutely delicious. The staff are efficient and very friendly and we will continue to use Table Eight.

We live in Oxford and as we were visiting friends in the area, we decided to visit Table Eight for a meal. Their high trip advisor ranking certainly influenced our choice and we were not disappointed. The team of staff were all very good, but our waitress Sharon, was especially helpful. She provided good guidance on the quantities to order and the degree of heat to expect!I thoroughly enjoyed my salmon dish, and the chicken shashlik was to my wife’s liking.We thought the prices were very reasonable, but do remember that they don’t have an alcohol licence, so either bring your own or they are happy for you to pop across the courtyard to the local pub and bring the drink to your table.Overall, a very enjoyable evening.

Discovered this wee gem while attending a family event in Wedmore. BYO alcohol is acceptable but no alcohol lets the staff focus on the food. Excellent quality and great value as well. Would thoroughly recommend a visit here.

We ordered three different main courses, rice, chips and some chapatties - the quality of which was excellent. All full of flavour and a good level of heat / spices. The chicken madras was one of the best I’ve had and all were cooked and ready within 50-minutes, which was good going on a busy Saturday night. I would throughly recommend this place to eat in or take away!!

The food was good, I ordered a veggie korma. However, the man on the phone taking our order was clearly new, that’s not the issue. He did however repeat after me when I said two pilau rice but didn’t put it onto the order. When they deliver you have to have cash, the delivery driver didn’t have change so we ended up giving 60p more than the total. That wouldn’t have been an issue, except we then discovered we did not receive our rice. We called to ask about it. They refused to send more and suggested we come collect it.... why should a customer have to drive to collect part of a meal that the restaurant forgot in the first place??? Bad customer service, a shame to say because I usually use trip advisor to compliment brilliant business, in this instance I cannot. I hope they learn to correct their mistakes and the golden rule that the customer is always right.

Hadn’t been for sometime but am happy to report that it is still the best Indian food I have come across. Service is a delight and the food is exquisite. The only negative is that you have to buy your beer at the pub next door or bring it with you. However the creative and varied menu is still impossible to fault and easily compensates for this minor point. It’s Sunday buffet is quite amazing value, but the quality of the main menu is way up there. Can’t recommend it enough.

This place never fails to impress. I had the beef special on the menu, very good and a pleasant surprise to see beef in an Indian restaurant. For a Wednesday night the restaurant was busy. All food cooked with a passion.

Enjoyed a mid-week meal here with my family. Each of us ordered a different main and we were all very happy with our meals. Naans were beautiful and currys packed with flavour. It’s a ‘BYO’ restaurant however I had to call them to check as their website wasn’t clear (or doesn’t work very well). It’s a very popular restaurant so booking in advance for weekends is essential (we have tried several times with no luck) so if you fancy curry out ‘on a whim’ Saturday night you’ll have to have a take-out

My husband and I visited on a Sunday and took advantage of the ‘all you can eat’ style offer. We were encouraged to sample many of the starters and very much enjoyed each one. The chicken pakora was a particular favourite. We then stuck to just one option each for main course and were really nicely full afterwards. However we did find room for a kulfi to ‘cleanse our palate’ This is a BYO alcohol restaurant but we stuck to soft drinks and the prices were very reasonable. The service was super and the atmosphere was great too. We will definitely be returning.

Table 8 is a little gem. The staff were all very friendly. The food was gorgous. Very fresh and lovely favours.

We ordered food for delivery for 9 people. Made our order clearly by telephone which totalled £77, food was delivered within an hour as stated. We paid the driver £80. When unpacking the food we were shocked to find that we had three curries missing! We called to notify them of the error and were met with the most unhelpful customer service I have ever experienced. Even when going over what we had received item by item and adding it up along the way, we only reached a total of £59. No resolution of compensation was offered and the lady on the telephone even hang up. So we were left very hungry and extremely disappointed. I would not recommend this establishment.

Had a great Sunday lunch buffet. All food was cooked to order. Really authentic! You can choose your 'spice level', choose your meat and sauce, so its almost custom made along with choosing a meal. You can eat as much as you like. Also fantastic is the fact you can bring your own booze for no charge, or go to the pub next door and bring in an alcoholic drink. Very snug, so best to book ahead. I would go here every week if I could!

We visited for my parents’ birthday meal, and it was lovely. Greeted really nicely and instantly sat to our table. The service was fast but not intrusive. Immediately offered drinks and popadoms which were lovely. The curry is always amazing, we go here regularly and it the best curry around, I hate the Tandoori Butter Chicken which was delicious. We had a fantastic time and it was definitely worth the bill. Really enjoyed and will be back there soon.

Smelt this place evening before from another street and asked locals where it was coming from. Was told just around corner . Went to book for next evening and were lucky to get last table for two. We were staying a short drive away from Wedmore village and had heard about it but couldn’t find it. The entrance is at rear so ask if you can’t find!! You won’t be disappointed. Staff were all very welcoming and the food was absolutely delish!! Not licensed therefore you are invited to take your own bottle of wine or beers. If in Wedmore be sure to book in advance as we heard this is very popular. Well worth a visit.

Our first visit and wont be our last, this Restaurant is entered by the rear of the building off the street in a courtyard type car park up a slight ramp which also has a Pub entrance a few yards away. The Staff are welcoming and efficient your order is repeated to you so as to avoid mistakes, the Female member was very good and has a nice manner. I was offered a drink almost immediately upon being seated but not a beer because this Restaurant does not serve alcohol, so the choices are bring your own or walk to the local Wine shop a few doors down or walk a few yards to the pub which for 2 x beers were restaurant prices so the Wine shop or from home is probably the cheaper option. The Starters were amongst the best we have ever tasted from any Indian Restaurant and our mains which I asked for Vindaloo hot was absolutely perfect well done Table Eight you have won some regulars.

Visited this restaurant for a Father’s Day treat. Everyone was pleased with their food with no complaints from any of my party. It was a Sunday buffet with lots of choices and very reasonably priced, well worth a visit.

Have tried many curry houses but this is consistently the best. The food is amazing and the service is faultless. I also like that fact that it is BYO. Try it for yourself, you will not be disappointed.

Easily one of the best Indian restaurants. My children love it and will eat their body weight in curry, and it is one of the very few that my husband can eat at given some food allergies (including dairy and onion). The service is great; the staff is always friendly and helpful. The food is sublime, cooked fresh and served with generous portions. We’ve eaten here more than 10 times and actually can’t find any fault. The Sunday buffet (everything is cooked fresh to order) is a true highlight.

Went here whilst holidaying in the area. Excellent service and welcome. Good menu choice well cooked and presented. Thoroughly recommend but just be aware it is a "bring your own alcohol" restaurant but it is quite alright to go to the pub next door if you want wine or beer with your meal and fetch it back.

Visited here recently....the food I thought was ok......popadums arrived quickly....also the starter...but to wait 70 minutes for the main course is not acceptable.....the whole experience was spoilt because of the waiting time.....I would not visit here again.....

I have been in a Curry Club for 29 years and we dine every Tuesday or Wednesday around a 30 mile radius of Burnham-On-sea. Table 8 is just outstanding in terms of quality, Flavour and value. The staff are fantastic and the Chef is Premier League. The added bonus is that you can bring your own beer & wine.

Phoned before six on Saturday to order a takeaway. Told it would take an hour which was fair enough. We live a little out of the way so tried to give directions to the guy taking the order. He said not his problem as he wasn't delivering, prat. Anyway food delivered eventually after two hours and two phone calls later. We had ordered two separate veg side dishes , and when we looked we had two of the same. The food is nice but after this fiasco we won't be using again. Just avoid them on Saturday as they are clearly overstretched.

I have eaten here a few times now and never disappointed. Fish dishes are excellent in taste and price. Staff knowledgable and will cater to your tastes and needs. Pub next door allows you to take drinks from the bar into the restaurant.

As always the food is superb. The servings are very generous and delicious. Service is prompt and friendly even during busy times. It is a friendly atmosphere. I cant rate this restaurant highly enough. This is the best Indian restaurant I have been to in the UK. But to avoid disappointment you need to book ahead or you might not get a table.

Fantastic Indian, the food is one of the best I've had and certainly the best around Somerset. They do not serve any alcohol but you take your own, they do not charge for corkage either. The staff are friendly, polite, and they do a great Sunday buffet where you can eat as much as you want for a set price it's very reasonable. They also do a delivery service which I have had and the food is just as good.

I have eaten in and had several take away from here and the food is always very good and I would recommend it to all. The one criticism would be of the chicken shaslick which is usually a mild dish but from here it seems to be very spicy and I couldn't eat it. I should have stuck to the chicken tikka masala which I usually have which is always very good.

We both enjoyed another Sunday lunch. Friendly helpful staff, nothing too much trouble. Great choice of food, well cooked and presented. Menu explains the degree of spice and heat very well. The waiters will also happily help. The Sunday menu gives a great opportunity to try different dishes. Wonderful value. Highly recommend.

A big takeaway order for my wife's 50th birthday with family in Cheddar. Ordered at 5pm for 8pm. Several phone calls later it finally turned up gone 9pm. The food had been out of the kitchen for 1 hour 20 minutes. Staff on the phone very unapologetic, rude and not accepting of requested discount, so the food was sent back. They hung up on us twice, so rude. Our family in Cheddar have used them many times. Never again. Such a shame.

Took a group of friends for a celebration meal, restaurant is pleasantly decorated and furnished, with staff attentive and knowledgable. The food chosen was excellent quality and pleasantly served as a whole an enjoyable experience.

this was one of the best indian restaurants i have been too. i am very fussy about how my chicken is cooked, and it was perfect. you do need to take your own alcohol due to it not having a licence, but that didn't seem to bother anyone around me. if you happen to forget the George inn next door is happy to provide. Its definitely worth a visit.

The food was OK, the thing that spoiled it was the aloof staff. I like my my mushrooms fried a bit before adding to the sauce. Every curry house I ask has done this for me. But not Table 8. No, Table 8 knows better than me how I like my mushrooms cooked. In the end I gave up trying to explain and let them cook the way they think best. The result was a Rogan Josh sauce with some raw mushrooms thrown in at the last moment. Very disappointing. The customer is clearly not always right at Table 8.

We booked a table on the Friday night, as I heard some good things about this restaurant. We arrived early for our reservation, we were greeted by a friendly member of staff and showed to our table. Drink order was taken, and drinks delivered. However (at the time) we were informed they don't have an alcohol license, so can't serve. But they will allow alcohol bought in from the nearby pub or from a shop. Personally, I found this slightly weird as I've not been to an Indian that doesn't serve alcohol and allows it in, but none the less.

Had Table Eight recommended and didn't disappoint. Superb food and service. Enjoyed the Sunday buffet which served sensible sized portions of delicious, freshly cooked food which enabled my to enjoy a starter and side dish in addition to the main. Definitely worth a return visit.
