There hasn't been anywhere to have a tea or coffee in Loxton for some years, possibly due to the fact that it's off the beaten track and now we have a gem of a cafe! The building is a converted agricultural building and has many photos of Frankie Howerd in his prime. There's seating inside and when the weather is nice, you can sit outside, look at Crookes Peak and listen to the birdsong. Traffic on the adjoining road is minimal. I've only been there for coffee and cake and really nice the cake was too - a light and fluffy Victoria Sponge. The service is good and the staff are friendly; the menu has a good range of cooked and cold foods on offer. There is a small car park just up the road. The premises is being extended at the present so when finished, it should be much bigger.

Had king prawn madras, with extras delivered When opened the lid on Curry not secure so curry spilt in bag, on trying the curry and prawns the whole thing was atrocious, prawns like rubber and Madras curry more like flavoured water. I informed them I was not happy they wanted a photograph, not sure how you taste a prawn curry with a photograph. The manager has now been in contact and explained there was a problem and has sincerely apologised and given a full refund, I have accepted this and hopefully look forward to a better experience in the future.

We popped in yesterday for lunch whilst in the area for a couple of days. So pleased we did, friendly welcoming service & one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Wonderfully fresh, thick granary bread & proper home carved ham. My husband’s club sandwich looked amazing. Really generous portions, great value for money. We would definitely return.

We visited here during a week in holiday cottages near by, a great welcome and the fish and chips were excellent as was the home made tartar sauce

Yet another AMAZING brunch/breakfast! This really is the perfect place to go!! Can't imagine where some of the low score feedbacks come from?? Or why? I've been in the hospitality business over 30 years, and what is offered here, is as good as it gets! Great service, great value, and super quality... can not fault it!!! Best Indian takeaway we have had. We have been coming here for many years and never had anything less than excellent food. Tasty food,tender chicken and a great portion for the money. Staff friendly and accommodating.

Excellent distinction in flavours between the dishes. Delicious tender chicken and lamb. Correct portions of meat. Accurate time for collection. We placed a large order for a Saturday evening and everyone in our party said what an excellent Indian meal it was. Would definitely recommend.

We have ordered a few times from here now no have never been disappointed. Great food, superb flavours, and always delivered on time. What’s not like? If you live in the area try i5, you won’t be disappointed

For the first time ever, we went out for Christmas lunch. Well, what a mistake. Two of our party were over 80+. By the time we left our 80+ year olds were falling asleep at the table, having had to ask staff to clear our plates away and bring our dessert. On the plus side, the atmosphere was good and festive. Staff brought us the wrong dishes and wouldn't listen when we tried to explain. There was a difficult party of three, and it was obvious the staff had no idea how to handle them and they held everyone up. It was a shame as some of the staff tried really hard, but the young chap in the T-shirt really didn't care and it was obvious he didn't want to be there. I had some hygiene concerns too about the prepared dishes being passed round the tables with everyone breathing on them before they arrived at the right place. I've been brought up on good quality meat, I don't know where the beef was from, but it was so stringy and fatty that I could not eat it. I've waited a few days to calm down but I really would like a partial refund after such a dreadful experience.

Great facility, exceptional staff, clean showers and well stocked shop and pub. Good location for beaches, Cheddar gorge and Wookie hole.
