Yet another AMAZING brunch/breakfast! This really is the perfect place to go!! Can't imagine where some of the low score feedbacks come from?? Or why? I've been in the hospitality business over 30 years, and what is offered here, is as good as it gets! Great service, great value, and super quality... can not fault it!!! Thank you for the service You provide. And your plants are also super quality, and great value. See you next month... :))

We've been going to the Banwell garden centre cafe for years but sadly we won't be going again. Waited ages for the menus, waited ages for the order to be taken, waited ages for the coffees to arrive. Asked for a de caff but I'm afraid it wasn't. When our food arrived we were not impressed. The steak and kidney pie was awful. Soggy pastry and steak so tough it was inedible. Even the broccoli was tough. My quiche was ok apart from the very tough pastry. We paid £28 for a lunch we did not enjoy one little bit.

Anyone who has watched the comedy series Ted Lasso will be familiar with his description of a particular hot drink as "brown sadness water". I presume the write came up with this after ordering an Americano here. Utterly tasteless brown water.

Having heard great things about this little cafe in a local garden centre hubby and I thought we’d try it, as we’d never heard of it. I were greeted by a young lady at the entrance who in turn give me two menus. We found a table and started looking at the menu, an older lady approached us and asked if we were ready to order, I in turn said oh is it table service as I was expecting to order at the counter. Her stern response was ITS always been table service, when I explained that we’d never been there before , there was no response!! Then I asked if the tea came in a pot as sometimes you get a teabag in a mug she did answer in a pot, but as she picked up our menus she rolled her eyes to the top of her head!! I must be honest when the food came you couldn’t fault it. When I went to pay the cakes etc looked very good. But sadly I won’t be returning to this cafe. But having said that I would recommend it, just don’t get the stern waitress :-))))

Called into the garden centre whilst visiting the local area. Decided to try the cafe for some lunch but hadn’t appreciated how popular it was. We hadn’t booked a table and no empty ones but there were reserved tables but this was no problem for the lady that greeted us. She quickly reworked the reserved tables as they were coming in later and was able to seat us quickly. I had a coronation chicken sandwich and my partner a toasted ham and cheese sandwich. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of both sandwiches and the bread was lovely and soft. Very good value and efficient service. I would recommend going here.

One of the nicest garden centres in the area with lots of really helpful staff. The cafe is great. Clean and well stocked. My only comment is that the oil used to cook the bacon and eggs was very strong tasting and overpowered the food. Such a shame. The best bacon is cooked with no oil at all. Loved the visit though.

We go here to eat at least once a week and are very impressed with standard of food and excellent friendly service, the all day breakfast being a great meal. However today the usually excellent steak and kidney pie had been changed to a meagre portion of rather tough steak & kidney in a small pie dish with an added undercooked puff pastry lid, and additional gravy was unusually rather tasteless. Very disappointing and will not choose that again unless they revert to former open pie portion recipes. Do hope this is not an indication of standards slipping.

The centre has a cute little traditional style cafe which serves yummy breakfasts for both meat eaters and veggies alike! (There are also other food options which include "light bites" Panini's, sandwiches etc). The staff are always friendly and efficient and happy to add, take away or swap various items on the breakfast. It's reasonably priced and comfortable with a great atmosphere; staff always serve with a smile! There's lots of space and if you sit at the right table you get a glimpse of the wonderful views out the back! Went in with my wife on a Sunday morning at 11am - they have banners up on the main road saying they serve breakfast which was exactly what we wanted. The cafe was busy, there was a party of cyclists eating and ordering, though there were at least half a dozen empty tables, though some did have reserved signs on. We chose a non reserved table which had a breakfast menu on it. I went to counter and asked for 2 breakfasts only to be told by the lady serving " I'm not sure we are serving as I've got all those to deal with (nodding towards the cyclists) and I've got to get dinners ready as its Mother's Day" so I asked if I could have something to eat or not? And was told flatly NO. So we decided to leave, the lady did apologise on numerous occasions as we were walking out though it was a breakfast I wanted not an apology to try and hide the fact that she didn't want to serve us as it was to much like hard work! Appalling!! They didn't look under staffed, just lazy and Unmanaged! I won't be going back for either food or garden supplies. If you are hungry then go elsewhere.

The tables cluttered with customer leftovers should have given it away. The waitress was too busy laughing and chatting in the corner. When the man in the corner with whom she was conversing started shouting across to another staff member in the opposite corner of the customer area about her night out that she couldn't remember, the warning bells rang. The waitress stood mid restaurant adding to the conversation. My request for quiet initially succeeded but soon received mockery. Our drinks then arrived with another staff member from behind the counter cynically announcing 'it sounds like a school classroom'. My question asking if I had been unreasonable was ignored, as was my offer to leave if payment was returned. She simply walked back to the visible kitchen, which was as cluttered as the customer tables. Clearly the real work was all too much trouble. When the man left to apparently do a job and return in twenty minutes, he announced publically but directly to me that we could have some quiet to talk. Suffice it to say our drinks were not enjoyed. We left without comment or apology. The only consolation was a very kind staff member in the garden centre who listened carefully, took notes, and wrote down my observation that the restaurant staff only existed for their own interests and needed some serious training in customer relations. She assured me that my concerns would be dealt with and apologised for what had happened. Well done to her.

All this plus a very fast and friendly service. The cake selection looks very good - I just wish I had room after my breakfast to try some of them! I think they also make the best cappuccino for miles. Lastly, you can sit outside on a good day and admire the beautiful views across the Winscombe valley.Highly recommended.

I visit this place twice a month generally, never for the garden centre, just for the Café. I take a lady suffering from dementia, a happy one. They always greet her and me positively, they do her a special size piece of chocolate cake and cream. The normal cake slices are huge, sometimes I can struggle to eat the fruit cake size all in one. A very pleasant place and their breakfasts are very good. Will continue to visit, had meals here as well, never anything to complain about.

Liked it all. Whether you just want a bowl of soup, big breakfast, Panini or a full meal this coffee shop never disappoints. Lovely view across the valley and outside seating when the weather is good. Food prepared and delivered to very high standards.

The Cafe at Banwell Garden Centre is a hidden gem. A lovely bright airy venue with stunning panoramic views over the valley to Winscombe and the Mendips makes for a very pleasant venue to eat at. The food is always top quality with quality ingredients being used. I love my breakfasts and always go for the big breakfast which I think is the best in the area; coming a close second best is the Mega breakfast in Cafe Treats in Meadow Street in Weston. I love the fact that the plates are warmed so your food stays hot till the end and with the big Italian style coffee machine making lovely coffee. Cakes - I have to say that the Carrot Cake is to die for, wait till you see the huge range of homemade cakes, but unfortunately I don't get to try that many because of that yummy carrot cake! The staff are a lovely bunch and keep it spotless in there. A fantastic place in sit and enjoy life.Although I haven't yet tried it, I have heard that their Sunday Roast is well worth checking out. I certainly know the daily specials are good. Well recommended - keep up the good work.

My mum & I went in for lunch today. We both had the standard breakfast that came with toast & coffee. We also had a portion of sauté potatoes. It came to a total of £10.50, a real bargain & there was nothing "standard" about it. The food came out quickly and it was hot and tasty. The service was good too. We've been here before and it's never disappointed. The homemade cakes are to die for & very reasonably priced. Will definitely go back. I left one happy customer with a full belly!!!

We had a fried breakfast in here, the customer service was very pleasant, the coffee shop is a very clean place with nice views too, after eating you can have a nice walk around the garden centre there. The food was very nice, came out piping hot, good fresh produce and cooked well. We found this coffee shop just by visiting the garden centre, the reason for going there is that we have just moved into Winscome just up the road from here. We liked the coffee shop so much we will be a very regular user. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

Firstly the bus cafe wasn't open here, and you need to wear a mask to purchase from the shop. They do some lovely produce and the baps are amazing value, it is a proper rustic food lovers paradise. A good selection of meats, pies, fish, vegetables and beers and ciders are available. Nice place to visit, pick up supplies if your passing by, also about the only thing close to the nearby Holiday Inn. Good spot..

Had an excellent breakfast here this morning. I was very impressed by the friendliness of the staff. Spotlessly clean and has great decor inside. I am also looking forward to trying the special nights planned. Fish and chips, wine and cheese and a traditional Christmas dinner nearer Christmas. My only moan and groan. I have lost count of the times I have passed these premises and never ventured in. But now I realise, I have been missing out on a little gem. And I'm happy to say, I will be visiting with monotonous regularity from now on.

I was looking for something tasty to eat on Clevedon beach while waiting for my car to be serviced. This cafe makes the most delicious baguettes - it was difficult to choose which combination to pick - eventually, I opted for one with mozzarella, spinach, pastrami, and pesto - highly recommended - I will try a different one next time I visit :)
