Best Indian takeaway we have had. We have been coming here for many years and never had anything less than excellent food. Tasty food,tender chicken and a great portion for the money. Staff friendly and accommodating.

We were really looking forward to this takeaway meal after all the great reviews that were posted on tripadvisor. On arrival to collect our order the staff were friend enough, but that, is where the great experience ended. To say we were disappointed with the food itself is putting it politely. The onion Bhaji were dry and flavourless. The Nana was cold stale and hard. And as for the main; the sauce was runny, the flavour was lacking, and although my girlfriend and I ordered 2 very different dishes both looked and tasted exactly the same. It may be because there is little competition in the surrounding area but I can honestly say this one of the worst takeaways I have ever had.

I always get my curries from here along with family members and today we all had a meal from here together, and all I can say is it was outstanding, it was the best tasting full flavoured curry we have ever had. Everyone commented on how nice it was. Plus when we brought it home is was piping hot and the stsff are always so friendly. Highly recommended.

Food cooked perfectly, ready exactly when they said it would be and really lovely staff. This place is a godsend.

We were staying for a weeks holiday locally and decided one evening to have a takeaway and thought we'd give the Touch of Spice a try. We thought it was that good we had another 2 days later.

Food isn't bad here but I asked whether I could bring a tiffin tin to save on plastic. They were too busy to entertain the idea. Disappointed that folk are too busy to preserve a future for our kids and the rest of life....

Have to say was not impressed after hearing good things i ordered a takeaway my lamb meat was so over done it was hard to eat and my nann bread was like a massive crisp. Onion bajis over fried

Lovely food and always consistent, lucky to live around the corner. I’ve never had to wait long for food especially on what would be there busy days, the staff are very friendly and always remember us when we go to pick up our food. My only critique is that the onion Bhajis can be very oily at times but other than that I don’t have a bad word to say about this lovely place.

The food this time was even better than last time and so much of it as well We had arranged a takeaway for a large party and they came up trumps! Everyone was delighted.

Loved watching the chef cooking, he was very friendly and let me get really close and explained each ingredient as he added it. The smells were so inviting. Its such a shame they don't have room for you to be able to eat in.

Amazing quality curry thats incredibly cheap. Was so amazed to find a quality takeaway having moved out of the city. Seriously good food - never had a bad takeaway from these guys!

The food here has improved massively over the last 12 months, prefer getting our indian takeaway from here rather than Chillies, I wouldn't have said that a year ago!!!! Only wish they did delivery.

My favourite! Food always cooked well, never 'over oily' (like many take aways), friendly owner and staff and excellent vegetarian options.

We are visiting the area and were not sure what to expect from a little shop front Indian takeaway. We have an excellent southern Indian takeaway restaurant we use at home and always compare to that. This place produced some of the best food we have tasted. Non-greasy and not dripping in ghee, bindhi bhaji okra was fresh, crunchy and not overdone, tarka dahl I’d eat all day every day with perfect roasted garlic not overdone, chicken dansak and chicken tikka jalfrezi with perfectly cooked meat and level of chilli indicated was just right. Rice also cooked well and non-greasy. Would highly recommend and what a shame we live so far away (Hertfordshire!) to be able to order from here. Excellent value for money and much better than any food we’ve had in Brick Lane, Indian food capital of London. Well done chef you have it down perfectly!

We use this shop reguarly and foiod always hot and reliable. Great choices and menu extensive. They offer 20% off on a wednesay evening so we try to take advantage of that.

Love it they do a great takeaway, chicken is so succulent and tasty melts in mouth Bhuna is gorgeous just wish they had restaurant on the side so we could eat in

When we fancy a take away curry we always go to the Touch of Spice order the food the pop across the road to the Woodborough Inn for a couple of drinks before picking up our food and taking it home. The quality of the food is always excellent and well prepared,

Looked a nice place ordered balti Nan pops asked for extra fresh garlic in Nan .isay I will pay extra for fresh garlic. Plain Nan smotherd in garlic butter. Chicken was small pieces of frozen chicken (not fresh) very poor .will not return☹️

We visited this restaurant for a takeaway not once but twice during our holiday it was THAT good. As a vegetarian I was thrilled with the Quorn options and both my curries (jalfrezi and masala) were absolutely lush and my other half was in raptures over his mixed balti (extra hot as requested). Totally recommended if you're in the area...and even if you're not? It's well worth the journey!

Six of us enjoyed a splendid meal after a day's walking in the Mendips. Good value for money at about a tenner a head. Fine range of dishes and we focused on the chicken offerings. Mix of Bangladeshi and Indian food. Decent-sized portions.

We recently moved into the village and were delighted to discover a good cross section of takeaways. Although not aficionados of Indian Takeaways we have had a few and having spent some time living in India we probably have a high expectation. In that context we are delighted with the food we have had from Touch of Spice. Great staff who prepare the meals to order so is always best to phone ahead. Excellent quality and taste. In particular the food looks and tastes fresh. Easily the best we have had in this country.

Ordered a take away and to my surprise they only accepted debit card or cash so be warned! However the food was ok but not brilliant

We stayed at a nearby cottage and ordered food from here . So impressed ! The portion sizes were very good. The food was delicious and we got complimentary popadoms ! Would definitely recommend!

Aabsolutely love this takeaway! They are all so friendly and the food is always piping hot. Very tasty and not too watery like some Indian food outlets.

A juzgar por el nivel de negocios que están haciendo esta es muy popular para llevar; siempre es una buena señal. Sólo me gustaría que el sitio local que utilizan regularmente en Aberdeenshire era la mitad de bueno!

Since moving down here Twenty plus years ago I have struggled to find a really good Indian, being a veggie seems to equate with boring and bland but I'm used to curries from Brum, Luton and Bradford first and abrasive.At last I have found one that fits the bill and with their use of Quorn they seem to have managed that authentic taste hitch I am now enjoying two or three times a week.Excellent very happy keep it up!

Our go-to place for an Indian take-away. Always high quality and very tasty with plenty of dishes to chose from, and always ready on time! Very good and reasonably priced.

A great indian takeaway with lots of choices. Dishes are a mixture of standard as well as chef specials so it always takes me ages to decide what I want! Have used it twice since coming to stay not far from the village, and have found an 'extra' dish compliments of the chef each time when we've opened up the bag. Nice surprise which went down very well with all of us! You can watch them cook the dishes fresh, and nibble on some bombay mix while you're waiting too :-)

We ordered a range of dishes according to the taste of our 10 guests. The food was ready on time and whisked home to our eagerly awaiting guests. The food didn't disappoint, tasty, hot and well spiced. We all enjoyed a great evening. Thanks Touch of Spice, will be back soon!

Fabulous Indian takeaway! Chicken kebabs in yummy nan bread is my favourite but the curry, especially chicken tikka masala is totally lush! We now live in Australia and came back to visit just for a decent curry...honest!

No complaints with the food or the service. Prompt service & food doesn't take too long - not out straight away (which would concern me), but certainly not the long waits found in some other Indian takeaways.

Vegi biriani was ok but uninspiring....too much potatoe and not enough variety of veg. Onion baji was great.lamb balti my husband had was very average.

Regularly have takeaways from Touch of Spice and its superb every time. I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a curry!

Ordered chicken curry with pilau rice. Wife had chicken biryani. Both meals were tasteless and bland. Portions were small. Very disappointed. Will not be going back in a hurry

This is the best Indian food in the area. Great to actually see it being cooked. Wish they delivered though.

Great range of well made Indian food. The Shashlick is especially good. We also love the Sag Bhaji. There is a wide range of foods - including good vegetarian options.

Top curry, great spicing and the kids loved it. Large naan breads.... Top place, shame we were on holiday, and it's not our local.

the family that run this used to have the Avon Tandoori in Weston S Mare - which was one of the best Indian restaurants in the area. I have had food here many times and it never fails to be superb! Highly recommended if you like excellent tasty Indian or Bangladesh food

The king prawn korma is the best I've ever tasted. Can't fault the food never had a poor take away from here.

It's unusual to find food of this quality in a small village but that's what you get here. Friendly greetings and helpful advice come along with a wonderful variety of spicy foods to suit your palate - "Touch of Spice House Special" is a must, I'm lucky to live so near!

We regularly have takeaways from Touch of Spice in Winscombe, even though we live elsewhere and are only visitors from time to time. We are frequent eaters of Indian takeaways and count this as one of the best.

We order here so often that the owners know my Mum's voice before she even says the name, both my sister and I travel home from Cardiff and London respectively and always always get a curry from here on our return. The food is superb and the portion sizes more than generous. We absolutely love this as a family. The personal service is second to none, they know our order almost by heart, even asking the other day when one of us didn't order the usual whether it meant that member of the family wasn't home! A wonderful gem in the village.

Like another reviewer, we travel from Weston-super-Mare because this is such a great take-away. The staff used to work in WSM where they worked in the best Indian in the town for years (in our opinion and we've been to them all). They've transferred their high quality menu to Winscombe. Great food, reasonable prices, happily recommend.

Nice curry form here, it was cooked within about 30 minutes and there was plenty of it. Priced at about £10. Parking is available opposite, for free

i havent been here before, and had a take away, cooked fresh, you can see the guys cook your food, good portions, great tasting food, with free poppadums! will have another some time soon :)

Whenever we have visitors a meal from the Touch of Spice is always on the menu. As their name implies the fresh spice taste comes through every time. And, a good reasonably priced menu.

This is consistently good with a wide range of meals on offer to cater to all tastes. Ordering over the phone is the easiest route. The staff are happy to recommend.
