King Sulayman in North Somerset

moved my custom from another indian takeaway. meal delivered before time stated, food tasted delicious, but was way too hot for my taste! but tbh, the menu did say hot!! enjoyed what i had and will buy from here again, just a less hot dish!!

We had our regular favourite choices this evening and although very busy, the service and the food was great, as usual. It’s really good to see a takeaway business that balances the service for collecting customers with serving those who are having deliveries. All done with a friendly smile. Thanks all. We look forward to more of the same in 2022.

Good food , parking very easy. They do delivery which is a bonus. Been ordering a lot more because of my recent work.

Great if you like stone cold tiny portions, and have half your order missing when it arrives - which has happened twice on the trot! They then have the audacity to send you a £3 credit via Uber and ask you to try something else next time! I don’t want something else, I wouldn’t mind having the food I ordered and enjoy. Maybe you should try cooking fish and chips, you might be better at that. I have eaten Indian food for over 35 years and there are some wonderful establishments out there that actually value your custom and wish to retain it. No one enjoys leaving poor reviews but when you leave sarcastic and frankly rude remarks on a pointless credit you feel acceptable to offer for the disgusting rubbish you have supplied then you are only going to irritate and anger customers further. The good news for you tho is your refund wont be used as I’ll be going back to one of the many better restaurants in the area who value your custom. Real shame as the first time I ate here it wasn’t at all bad, just got worse and worse since then, complacency kicks in and the don’t care attitude sadly follows. No doubt the usual rude reply to the many negative reviews they get will follow

Food was absolutely delicious, and piping hot. First time we have tried this restaurant and we will definitely be using again.

Very disappointed no where near as nice as we have had in the past. Madras was sweet and mild which is not how it should taste and the lamb masala was fatty and watered down. Will not be returning.

Ordered a takeaway online (nice and straight forward), went to collect at allotted time and had to wait a little while as they were very busy, Have ordered from them twice before and they did not disappoint, despite being busy the order was correct and the food was excellent, we had prawn puree and onion bhajis both cooked perfectly, Prawn Bhuna, chicken tikka massalla and chicken tikka balti all cooked perfectly and not left swimming in oil. Will be ordering from them again.

Ordered a takeaway from here tonight. Food was outstanding and great value for money! Service was also excellent and communication from King Sulayman really made it a fantastic experience. Thank you very much!

Having spent lockdown enhancing our cooking skills at home and generally not eating out for a while we collected a takeaway last night for the first time in about 5 months. We wondered if our favourite meals would be the same but we needn’t have worried. Our usual Lamb Pathia and Chicken Dhansak (plus of course tarka dhal) were absolutely lovely and we weren’t disappointed. A few inevitable small tweaks to the prices really didn’t matter as it was well worth the wait. Thanks guys.

While being told we have to stay at home because of the Corona Virus, it can be hard to think of what to cook everyday. So as treat me and my husband ordered from King Sulayman to be delivered, I would normally go in and collect. We have always had a great experience and always hot. It did take a while to be delivered as more people now have to call or order online, but when it did arrive it was worth the wait.

Collected a takeaway this evening and once again, we had a fantastic meal. Still creatures of habit with a lamb pathia and a chicken dhansak, together with a tarka dhal. Couldn’t be better wherever we went in Weston. Thanks guys, see you again soon.

Without a doubt worst Indian in town,waited over an hour and the chicken dhansak may aswell have been a vindaloo! Nasty brown colour aswell. Do not order from here !

Feeling a bit lazy and low after a great weekend? What better pick me up on a Monday evening than to order a great meal from this popular takeaway. From ordering on the phone, you’re never rushed and it’s nice to actually talk to someone who cares (a rare thing with some takeaways nowadays) to the delivery which was on time, everything was excellent. Lamb Passanda and a Chicken Korai with mushroom rice, sag aloo, naan and bhajis was a little over £30. Very, very tasty, well cooked and plentiful. If you haven’t tried King Sulayman then I urge you to give them a go. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you to all at King Sulayman.

My usual go-to Indian takeaway. Great food and a wide variety. Takeaway only. Quite a slow service but (hopefully) means that it’s cooked fresh. Deals on collections ( free side dishes)and on sundays (20% discount)

Been coming to Weston a few times a month for the past year, often for a week or two, since meeting my girlfriend. I’m from London where we have a lot of great curry houses (and bad ones of course). Must have tried a dozen Indians in the area before settling on King Sulaymans as the best of the lot. Everything is so rich and flavourful, nothing swimming in ghee, fantastic prices (too good to be true almost) and very fast delivery or pickup times. What more can you ask for? My only criticism is of their lime pickle. It’s clearly shop bought and has little flavour. As a huge lime pickle it’s disappointing. It won’t beat my favourite London Indian but it would do well anywhere in the country. Will be a regular customer for a long time to come.

Ordered online and the meal came piping hot and on time which was good Food was tasty and nice flavour

I do not eat Indian food often but I fancied a change today and 5 out of 5 says it all. Food was amazing great taste and flavours. Excellent service I will certainly return again.

Wow what a fantastic meal !!! , won their latest competition £25 voucher , we were able to top up our meal with extras that we paid for , on line service was second to none , ordered through text , confirmed straight away , any queries dealt with the same . I don’t often review places more than once but feel it’s important when food is consistently good for people to know. Collected our regular takeaway last night and once again it was fabulous. Having been customers of this takeaway regularly now since our first visit a couple of months ago I think it’s important to write this review following our first impression when we were delighted with our meal.

Ordered from the new vegan menu last night for delivery, were really helpful and friendly when ordering and delivered. Food was great and really good value, would defiantly recommend!

As our usual takeaway has closed, we’ve been in search of a great curry for a few weeks now. We’re delighted to report that tonight, we struck gold!

This takeaway has been recommended many times but we have never used it. For a change we did tonight and it was really good.

Order here quite regularly and never disappointed with the food we receive. We order different all the time and all food always comes hot and very tasty Well done guys

Ordered three meals which arrived on time however the Prawn Madras was sadly lacking on Prawns - which are not expensive. A lamb dish was bland and tasteless and the meat was tough. A Byrianni was Ok but again lacking in Prawns. Regretably the standard seems to have dropped so will not be usng again.

We ordered via mobile as we were in a holiday let in Worle. The meal was excellent, easily as good as if we had been in the restaurant. It was hot, as ordered, and within the time advised for the delivery.

Para llevar indio excelente, optamos por envio a domicilio por un pequeño coste adicional. La comida llegó a tiempo y estaba bien caliente. Ingredientes frescos, servidos con platos maravillosos y lado de sag paneer patatas Bombay. El naan pan era muy ligero y esponjoso. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente para la excelente elección de comidas que preparen recién hecho para ti.

The best take away I had in ages. 1st class Indian cuisine. Recommended by a friend. Better than tandoori massala. Nice to see new salmon dishes. King of the high street! !

I'm afraid this is not a good example of Indian Cuisine. I have eaten 'Indian' food as a generic description in every city and well known centre of curry excellence both here in the UK and abroad, so consider myself pretty clued up about most of the different Asian cooking styles. With the vast majority of restaurant chefs cooking Bangla Desh food in the UK and having tasted the genuine Pakistani version which I vastly prefer, this take away falls very short. I ordered Chicken Jalfrezi, with rice and a Bombay Aloo. The best part of the meal was the Sheek Kebab starter otherwise this would have been a one star review. I stopped ordering from this take-away some years ago as I felt the meat to be of poor quality with an unpleasant spongy texture reminiscent of cheap water added frozen chicken. Regrettably the tikka chicken still has that same texture and sat in a sloppy over sweet alarmingly red sauce, utterly unrecognisable from the favourite dish I've eaten a hundred times before. The Bombay Aloo was bland too.The Tandoori Masala restaurant a few doors down isn't amazing but does a far better job providing an ok edible curry. Very disappointing and won't be ordering from this place again.

Worle high street, have used KS, many times, getting a take out from here. Always been good quality, tasty, and value... No sit in facility available.Friendly staff.

Had a couple of deliveries from these guys now and both been very good, nice and tasty and piping hot, there madras is not as hot as I like but very flavoursome .

Had a Madras from here which at other places does seem to be 'too hot' (even though a madras is meant to be. This Madras though was hot, but also had great flavour to it which makes a big difference.

As my local Indian takeaway closed down I had to source an alternative and opted for King Sulyman as it was local.I phoned in my order and was told it would be 25 minutes for collection so no worries on that score. I picked up the food from the friendly staff and drove the 10 minutes back home. The food was nice and hot and was very tasty indeed. We also received a free side dish with our order which was a bonus. The naan bread was very very good and mopped up the curry juices a treat ! Will use again and could be my new regular Indian takeaway.

These guys have been our go to takeaway in Weston for the last 5 years. They are polite and the food is consistently great. OK they sometimes get the order a bit wrong but they will always put it right quickly and without question. They always give you a deal or a freebie and even sent us a box of milk tray at Xmas to say thank you for our custom. Lovely people and a great local service!

Ordered a takeaway at the counter, paid and returned a short while later. Ordered:chicken chat puree - received some sort of vegetable curry and a naan bread.Chicken tikka patia - received normal chicken, but still charged the higher price.Egg fried rice - received chicken (!) fried rice. It's not even on the menu!!Picked a free dish, potatoes and spinach - not a hint of spinach.They say Worle's favourite Indian takeaway - not mine. First and last visit.

I've tried every Indian restaurant in Weston super Mare and King Sulayman's wins hands down every time, very friendly, unfortunately they are a takeaway only :-(, so if your looking for a good Indian Takeaway, good service at a good price, then this is the place to go.

We went on Saturday, it was the best curry we had had in a long time, I had the Lamb Passanda it was lovely and the lamb was very tender,also the young man who took our order was very polite.

Took quite a while of sampling many different Indian takeaway/restaurants when first moving to weston just over two years ago but finally found this Indian. It is a shame that they don't have a restaurant as we would most certainly be regular sit down customers. Looks like we have to settle for being regular takeaway customers. Easily the best Indian food in all of weston without question!Only thing I can criticise is more recently they have got the order slightly wrong on 3 consecutive occasions and haven't done anything more than apologise despite being a regular customer but apart from this and as I said only very recently it is still spot on!We don't go to another Indian in weston and king sulayman will still get my custom!Order, get home, enjoy. That simple!

We have been loyally getting our take-aways from King Sulayman's for years and I would comfortably rate it as the best Indian food I have had in the area. Some Indian restaurants around here use a basic curry gravy that is a bit bland, but that cannot be said of Sulayman's. Their sauces have deep layers of flavour and when you order a different dish you get exactly that, not the same paste with a subtle addition. I'm hoping they will open an eat-in restuarant one day as their food deserves a better presentation than tin foil containers in a carrier bag. Meantime, if you like take-aways, you must give this place a go.

We ordered a delivery on a Friday night for 7 of us, it was delivered within 30 minutes and was fabulous. The naan breads were spot on, all main courses were excellent. Complementary popadorms were very nice. Will definitely order in again.

Yes, I've ordered from them 3 times now and the food was outstanding, absolutely delicious every time. The naan is beautiful and super soft. My usual favourite is rogan josh which was lovely. Good portions too! Seriously, I'd rather order in from King S than go elsewhere.Yummy!

Worle High Street is situated in the suburbs of Weston-super-Mare and as such, is somewhat quieter than the town centre. There are a small number of eating establishments, one of which is the family-run King Sulayman Indian Takeaway. The exterior of the premises doesn't stand out from the surrounding shops so you may have to search it out but when you do, you are in for a treat! There is always a warm welcome from the staff and the menu is quite extensive with all the old classics of Indian cuisine and several unusual dishes. There is also a section called "Family's Recommendations" which contains some dishes highly recommended by the owners - well worth sampling! The portions are generous and the prices reasonable. There is a small selection of English dishes and several soft drinks are available. All the food is freshly prepared while you wait and the kitchen hygiene is very good. If you don't want to wait, you can phone and place your order and they will either deliver or you can call and collect from the shop.
