Over priced and very average food. Chicken had clearly been precooked and sauce was not great. There are better supermarket curries than this.

3 of us had a takeaway. Every dish ranged from poor to downright terrible. All was greasy. I wonder whether the vegetarian dishes had been cooked in the same oil as the non-veg. The sag paneer was inedible. Although it is marked as Sag Paneer on the menu it was cooked with a cheese other than paneer. On looking at the menu prior to writing this review it says that it uses Cheddar cheese, We had not seen this. It was therefore certainly NOT sag paneer and should not have been called that on the menu. Had we eaten at the restaurant all dishes would have been returned.

Food was not bad. BUT!!! Before you consider going here make sure you sell a kidney or remortgage you house to pay. We have been eaten out in the area for well over 20 years now nearly every Wednesday normally Indian cuisine and just never made it to Chilli's untill last night. OMG. We nearly got up and left if it wasn't for having drinks already ordered and at the table before looking at the menu we probably would have. Just shy of £10 for a mixed starter!! Really. That's nearly double anywhere else in the area. I Google a few places in Mayfair and the mixed starter was cheaper there. News flash chilli's your not in London and certainly not in Mayfair. Alot of the other dishes were almost double to in comparison to other local places. £32 for one drink. One starter and a main dish with no rice and a shared nan. And just to top it off Mr Personality whoever served us needs to pop some happy pills. If you do like being in the hospitality trade and smiling and just like being a misery please become a knitting teacher or something just anything were you can be happy in your work because your clearly not here. Left and went to a pub after (not buying another one in chilli's at there prices as I need the other kidney that I have left now.) And the first thing they said was agreeing that the prices are just bonkers. The menu on Google is out of date to so attached a new one there. I Would normally have a Naga the most I have Ever paid in the area for one is £8.95. Price at Mayfair London.... Sorry I mean chilles Banwell £16.45. Now no doubt some dumb reply will be left about things have gone up.. Yes they have for all other places in the area. Food good Prices Fail Hospitality Major fail Never again.!!!!

Although the food and portion sizes were good, it was the most expensive Indian meal and drinks we had have ever had and We eat out every Wednesday in towns and cities around the area and mostly Indian cuisine. We have done this for last 20 years now. It was definitely not value for money and was made an Even Worse night by grumpy staff and no other customers in the restaurant at all (probably couldn’t afford to eat there) a lot of the stuff on the menu was literally double price of other restaurants we’ve eaten in ! And the menu posted on here is not the Right one too before you compare.

Great food and generous portions which was really flavoursome. The onion bhaji's were the largest I have ever had.

***** 5 of us had dinner at Chillies tonight, we are all lucky enough to eat out in some of the west country’s best restaurants and others very regularly including much more expensive and less obliging establishments but with the possible exception of Raj Bari in Hotwells Road, Clifton a very well known top-notch curry house, no other Indian restaurant has been as good as far as I can remember, especially in Somerset, Devon or Bristol/South Gloucestershire. Chillies, a new favourite. 5 *****

Last couple of take always have been excellent….not sure what happened last night! Crispy chilli chicken on the last 2 deliveries was perfect as per pictures on Facebook Last night I’m not sure what happened…not crispy at all and a poor imitation of what I had previously King prawn Shaslik…last time 6 prawns…this time only 4? Chicken Madras tasted nothing like a madras….. We have previously given 5 star rating…last night was very average guys

Stayed overnight in Banwell and came across the restaurant on Google. The restaurant is decorated nicely, staff were friendly and yhe good was really nice, would recommend. I had king prawns ( shells on) and my husband had chilli madras, both very tasty, the rice portions are large

We were staying at a local campsite and saw their leaflet. Ordered a takeaway & they delivered within 30 minutes. Really authentic curry. They clearly know their spices! It was piping hot & presentation had care & attention. I would highly recommend!

Ordered from chillies a few weeks ago and then tried a few different restaurants since. We have now decided chillies is by far the best and their cheese naan is amazing. Delivery was speedy this evening too. Definitely our go to.

We decided to try a new area for a meal and decided to try here as I work just up the road. The initial service seemed very prompt, almost hurried at first. We ordered drinks and poppadoms and they arrived quickly, we ordered our main meals but were not told of a "specials" night on a Thursday. The food was nice and hot but not the Chicken Makon was more sauce than on the six pieces of chicken than the menu described. A thick sauce? Not at all, more a two tone river. After we finished they cleared away the table and we were left sitting there for 20 minutes while a waiter stood chatting to a customer at the next table, which he had done from when they arrived. Eventually I got the bill and I queried the "specials" offer to be told I had not asked for it, I replied you should have told us about it. I complained about the time wasted whilst we waited for the bill. They recalculated it with one special, I paid and left. Really bad customer service, first and last visit

I came here recently to pick up some food and with a short wait I was on my way home to eat my food. It was still hot by the time I had gotten home. The food I ordered was a Chicken Tikka masala and it was lovely and after trying many Indians I found it to be the best in North Somerset. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants a good meal.

I ordered from Chillies for the first time after being recommended from a local friend. I’ve tried many different Indian restaurants and Chillies has been the best by far! The food arrived promptly and tasted fantastic! Will definitely be recommending them to my family and friends.

After reading the reviews we were full of expectation for our last night of our holiday take away. Delivered propmptly and safely let the dinner begin. Popaddums lovely then onto the main, what a let down ,my lamb was awful. Lamb cooked separately then a yelloy/pink sauce that had been added later. Not a hint of spices, flavourings Indian ir otherwise. My partner's meal orderd Madras hot was equally as bland and tasteless, We barely ate half and ended up with cheese and biscuits. After a brilliant take away in Taunton from The Taj Mahal when every mouthful was a taste sensation but with far less positive reviews we will take more care to choose again in the future.

I tend to only write negative reviews on here, as it's those places that I think need them, but this was good enough for a positive review. We are from Birmingham so love a great curry and this was as good as anything from there. It's always positive when you see cassia bark in your curry. Flavours were well balanced and heat levels perfect for me. I thought it strange that a naga and madras are only a level three on the scale compared to a jalfrazi which was the highest level (four). I'm used to it being the other way around but I guess that comes to what's your are used to. Would definitely recommend trying here. Great work guys. You're worth all the positive reviews you get.

We had a fantastic meal here all food cooked to perfection and the service was great,possibly the best Indian food we had had.

We made a reservation for an early dinner. The restaurant was empty when we arrived, but sadly, our presence seemed to be an inconvenience to the staff member who met us at the door. We weren't welcomed, or even greeted, if memory serves. We were simply asked under which name the booking was made, and then asked to fill in our details for contact tracing purposes for Covid-19.Although the service was lack-lustre, the food was tasty, which is why I pushed my rating from a 3 up to a 4.At the end of the meal, I don't think we were asked about our experience, or thanked for our custom. The flavours were good, and we'd say worth trying if you're in the area, but hopefully you are made to feel more welcome than we were.

For the last five weeks of lockdown we have chosen Chillies delivery for our special night in! Brilliant food every time, totally consistant, what else can anybody ask for!!

Excellent food,I usually use our local Indian but have found the last couple of times not as good so tonight we gave this place another go as we have eaten here before. The service was brilliant, ordered and paid over the phone as it only being delivery service at the moment, was told the food would be with us In 45 minutes and it turned up half an hour later fresh and piping hot. Will definitely be ordering from here more regularly! A very good curry! :)

We were drinking in the Bell Inn around the corner and the bar staff suggested that if we wanted food we should order from here and they would deliver to the pub. It’s a lovely restaurant and the local residents must see this as a godsend as there’s very little else on offer nearby . The food was delivered promptly to the pub and included some complementary popadoms and was delicious. Great service

The food at chillies is wonderful, our last meal there was amazing. The staff will go out of their way to help you. Nothing is too much trouble and they always remember you when you go back. The food is well prices and very tasty with good sized portions. They will tailor it to fit your wants and needs.

We choose this restaurant on the back of the good reviews on TripAdvisor but unfortunately this was not a good experience for us. The staff were very pleasant however we waited over an hour and 15 minutes to be served. When the food arrived it was only warm and lacked flavour. There were 9 of us, all ordered different meals and no one was particularly impressed.

After moving to the area 3 years ago and being a massive indian food lover, I have never been able to find an indian restaurant as good as the one of ware I used to live. I’ve lost count to how many indian restaurants I’ve visited in the Weston/Bristol area. After visiting Chillies on Friday night I was surprised to how good this place was, it was amazing. Lovely restaurant, really nice inside, the people were awesome and they played some really catchy indian music which made the experience even more special. Last but not least the food was amazing, I went for the chicken tikka masala madras, chilli cheese nann and pilau rice, AMAZING. Will be back very soon

Lovely food that was delivered within 25 mins of ordering. They even delivered it to the campsite we were staying at. Food was piping hot and really tasty.

I visited here on the recommendation of the local caravan site and what a little gem. Its tucked away down a back street so not easy to find but its worth the search.The food was out of this world and probably one of the best Indian restaurants that i have ever visited. Wanting something to excite the taste buds i opted for onion bahji for starters and followed up by the Naga Murgh Masala which was a mix of chicken tikka lamb tikka and minced lamb cooked together with naga chillies. The portion was massive and could easily of fed 2 hungry adults and the meats were perfectly spiced and cooked. The lamb tikka just fell appart amd melted in the mouth. Ive never had lamb like this in a restaurant before. The rice was loveky and so was the garlic naan bread.Couldn't fault the restaurant, staff or food but if i am ever in the area again this restaurant will be 1st on my list for a repeat visit.Thanks guys for a lovely memorable evening

We were on holiday at a nearby caravan/ campsite, where they had the menu for this restaurant/ takeaway.Whilst there we had 2 takeaways from here. Both very very tasty. The first I collected - not an easy task but well worth it. The difficulty I had was not knowing the village. The second time we had it delivered - so much easier.The food was cooked to a high standard and on both occasions still very warm. It was all very tasty and plenty of it. There was plenty of meat in the dishes and more than enough rice.My daughter, who generally does not like Indian, was the one who suggested having the second takeaway. That is a very big compliment.

We visited last night, staying in the area and to be honest not a lot around. Found this on trip advisor and it did not disappoint. This is a don’t judge a book by its cover places. The food was great. Staff friendly and the food was great. Definitely recommend

We'd heard good reports about Chillies but had been using another local restaurant which safly went rapidly downhill after a change of ownership. So, takeaway booked and collected. YUM what a feast! Lovely, fresh tasting food which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Was a bit surprised at the very red food-coloured tikka chicken which felt quite old school, but it was nice and juicy and perfectly cooked.

Been a while since we last came as it’s a 2 hour drive from us but combine it with a visit to mother in laws.

The food from Chillies is absolutely exceptional. It really is the best curry for miles around. They also provide a great delivery service that covers many areas. I had food from here last night that was so good I’m seriously tempted to order something again tonight.

I was unfamiliar with this restaurant but friends assured me that the food was wonderful. Eight of us had dinner and all of us enjoyed our meal. Shortly after we arrived the staff put the music up really loud but fortunately someone turned it down again, making for a much more pleasant atmosphere. I would definitely eat here again.

Ordered a takeaway for me and my wife. We have tried many other places around the area but this is by far the best. The portions are very generous and we both struggled to finish it but didn't want to stop. You could tell the chicken in our dishes was of a very high quality,much better than what we have had from other takeaways. Fantastic value for money and we look forward to our next one and might even make a visit to there restaurant next time.

I was staying with some friends nearby and we decided to pop out for a Curry. I am a self confessed curry snob and was absolutely blown away by the quality of the food. The beautiful fluffy naan breads, and well flavoured and well spiced food. The waiter recommended the spicy King Prawns and they did not disappoint.They were a good size too. Fantastic. My friend had the Chicken Bhuna also delicious.Agin a generous portion with tender tasty chicken.We went with a couple of teenagers who hoovered up the popadoms and all the food.

A very nice meal out with my wife. The Thursday meal deal is well worth the price and the nan breads are fantastic.

Staying in Locking just up the road so wanted a meal after driving from Essex. Tasty, well presented and timely. I had the Chicken Tikka Korai and my wife had the Chicken Makon. Peshwari and Garlic Nanns and a shared Pilau rice.

The wife,her sister and myself had a very nice meal here last night. We had some pops and some nice pics followed by a lovely starter and good mains. Sister in law lives nearby so we will definitely come back.

Early evening and I’m the only one here. Friendly enough and the food arrives promptly but nothing special. Lamb not very tender, bread tasty but a bit soft for my liking. But it’s the only Indian in town and a lot of take aways and deliveries so....

We have been here more times than I can count. Always wonderful and the staff are great! We bring family and friends here when they stay and would recommend to anyone who wants a quality curry in a friendly restaurant.

What can I say apart from OMG this was an awesome meal it tasted like the ingredients had just come from the garden and the chicken as fresh as the day it had been clucking around.

Stumbled across this place on a busy Saturday night, but they managed to squeeze us in. Food was absolutely delicious, a lovely choice with some more unusual dishes to choose from

Visited this place twice for dinner during the Christmas holidays. Food is well cooked and portions ample. Service helpful and friendly. Selection of drinks is a bit limited (only one beer and one cider on draught, there is a wine list but with curry I tend to avoid wine). Food is better than in many standard restaurants, though pilau rice could have been better and naan was, I suspect, bought in. Good poppadoms.

Every time we visit Chillies the food and service is second to none. We very regularly visited a very good Indian restaurant in the Midlands and didn't think we'd find a match when we moved down here. We tried a number of Indian restaurants in Weston but they didn't quite match what we were used to. Until we tried Chillies. Nowhere else on our radar now.

Oh wow. The chutney were fresh and popadums crunchy. Both ordered from Chefs specials menu. Mine was one of the more expensive on the menu but when it came out was massive. My husband's was beautiful with three different colours of sauce.

Comida para llevar guindillas es normalmente algo que bastante emocionado sobre, la comida siempre es bueno, y esta noche no fue una excepción. Sin embargo esta noche decidimos comer en con un grupo de amigos para mi cumpleaños de socios. Cuando llegamos en el orden bebidas fue equivocada y terminamos con 7 bebidas para una mesa de 6. Pedimos popadoms y solo 5. Uno de nuestros amigos y nos pedimos patatas masala aloe Bombay. La comida era precioso, pero el servicio dejó más que desear. Creo que se pegaba con comida para llevar de ahora en adelante.

Realmente disfrutamos de una comida aquí, es un lugar inusual, no es lo que cabe esperar de los típicos Restaurante Indio.

Just stopped in for a takeaway whilst we were camping locally... food was excellent staff were friendly and was really nice that you could see into the kitchen as you walked in. All looked like fresh ingredients and had a 5 star hygiene rating. Would definitely return!

We are local to Cheddar but as it was my partners birthday we thought we would venture away from our normal Indian restaurant of choice.I am very impressed with Chillies! They handled one of our parties Tomato allergy so well and even went out of their way to make her a special onion salad to go with the poppadoms!! I will definitely be choosing this place as my Indian of choice for the near future. Especially as they do delivery!!!

Have had a Take Away from Chillies on many an occasion. Staff always polite and professional and never ever have we had a bad meal here. Always piping hot, full of flavour and plentiful. One Indian not to be missed.

This is a better than average, good quality restaurant, with some interesting things on the menu. Perfectly competent if not trail blazing. Lamb chops followed by Chicken Shatkura. A bit underspiced for my taste but still fine. Nice people, good service. If you are staying at a national hotel chain, with it's own pub style restaurant, 2 miles away, this is a great choice. Shame about the clockwork wi-fi. (This was posted when I got back to the hotel).

I live in Clevedon but ALWAYS make sure I order my curry from Chillies, despite the extra effort. The staff are incredibly friendly and always go above and beyond for their customers. I have eaten there for the past year or so and have never had one disappointing meal. Have recommended to lots of my friends and always try to have a Chillies at least once a fortnight. Staff, food, service all EXCELLENT.

Staying at nearby hotel where, quite frankly, last night's meal was horrific so despite the freezing temperatures and very narrow local roads I decided to give 'Chillies' a go. Bit sad but a lonley table for one meant that (unless I had a humongous appetite) I couldn't avail myself of the 2 for 1 Wednesday night offer. Surroundings are a bit dower and I was the only customer in but I can live with that. I enjoyed a couple of pappadoms followed by a tilapia curry 'deshi mas' with a side of sag bhaji and a pilau. The fish curry was something I'd not tried before and it was great. Everything else was more than acceptable and thoroughly enjoyable. Then came the bill, I know I'm from Yorkshire but paying £4.35 for a couple of pappadoms leaves a sour taste. I expressed surprise at the price and was told it was the pickle tray - it is enought for two. Funny I only eat enought for one. If it weren't for this I could have lived with the £4.50 for two small bottles of mineral water and given a glowing review. As it is the bill exceeded what my firm allow in expenses, I feel cheated and will not return, and the resturant looses out on a favourable review. GET SMALLER PICKLE BOWLS!

Visited this hidden away restaurant with my friends, very welcoming staff, They will adjust any dishes on the menu to your liking, the food tasted soo Fresh and reasonably priced. "Will be Back"

The food was nice, the restaurant spacious and there appeared to be car parking outside (a rarity in Banwell). The restaurant is tucked away but once inside, you could be anywhere. The staff are very friendly too.

The food here is reliably good. From the crunch of the poppadoms to the sweet taste of the peshwari naan, everything tastes fresh. The seafood korai (apologies for any spelling errors!) is especially good, as is the bhindi bhargi. Definitely an asset to Banwell, well worth the visit!

Nice sized portions and lovely tasting food. Have been using this as a takeaway for years and never been let down. Would prefer if they register regular takeaway user's address details. It would be easier as we order every week but it always takes ages to explain where we are every time.

As a first time customer, I was expecting a standard garden variety curry house with average prices but instead I was highly impressed with the quality of the Lamb Rogan and Bombay Potato. The flavour and presentation of the food was very good compared to other Indian restaurants/take away. The very friendly host was polite and engaging while I was waiting for my order which was processed quickly and efficiently. I cannot fault Chillies on either their customer service or quality of the food, I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Tried Chillies after a recommendation from a friend, won't go back to my regular curry house now as this was so much nicer. Food was excellent and really tasted fresh. The service was very friendly and quick my partner wanted something off the menu and this was no problem at all. They also do some great midweek deals.

I should say from the outset that this is a takeaway review and not an eat-in one, and our order was part of a huge 50-strong group, so the circumstances were certainly challenging for the chefs - but while they those to the occasion in some ways, they fell short in others. I'll start with the positives: The menu offers a wide range of choices, including some unique and appealing dishes. The sundries - rice, naan, etc - were good, and the restaurant generously gave us free poppadoms and dips. Most impressively, we bulk ordered for circa 50 people, breaking the order down into smaller orders (and payments) for different families within the group - and everything was spot on. Everyone got exactly what they ordered, individually bagged and clearly labelled, and delivered on time. It must've been a challenge to meet expectations, but Chillies did a brilliant job. But onto the less impressive part of our experience; our meals were just very average. We ordered several different curries, plus an English dish for the kids, and were distinctly underwhelmed by it all. Sauces were watery and lacking in both flavour and spice. I'm prepared to cut Chillies some slack and assume that part of the problem was the volume of the order, but my overall rating of three stars is a compromise between five-star service and two-star food.
