We had the gammon which was excellent and chicken dish (not mentioned on menu but were two legs) with simple mash and red cabbage each £19. A limited menu that was priced on the high side, especially so when a further 10% service charge is added, and without sauces or cream to compliment each dish! Two coffee and tarts, no cream at £8.50 each and four half ciders each £2.40, one of which was incorrectly listed and priced on the bill. The "optional" 10% service charge stated on the menu was in fact obligatory when the bill was requested as no one asked if it was okay. All drinks were purchased from the bar. So £71.06 all up. You get mineral water thrown in but of course a £6.50 service charge would have covered two more half ciders. Good ambience and decor for old and new interiors. Nice music very early evening which was drowned out as more Saturday night diners arrived in the restaurant. Ales are in short supply for what after all is a Thatchers' emporium. Don't expect any frills with food. Ample car parking. The bar staff were rather glum. A total of under £60 would reflect today's pub prices.

Visited the Railway Inn after the Thatchers tour. The restaurant was stunning inside. The drinks were excellent quality and the mains were good. We were, however, let down by the long wait for food and slow service (it would've been nice to have just one person serving us instead of 4/5). The desserts were also a let down and not worth the money paid (£8 for 4 not great petite fours was overpriced). That said, they had people waiting for tables so it will never be a problem. Think we would return for drinks as it would be nice to sit in the garden in the summer with a nice refreshing glass of cider.

Visited on recommendation from a friend and was not disappointed. The ambiance is great, we sat near a log burner so it was lovely and comfortable. The staff were really friendly, great fun and very chatty. The food was good, portions and price wise, we were very happy. We also tried several different drinks. An all round very pleasant evening and would love to return.

Our local has left us les than impressed. I called ahead (4 attempts to get through to someone) to at we were running late due to late flight arrival. Was told they could only accommodate for a 10 minute delay as fully booked…that’s all we were: We arrived 10 minutes after our booked time. 1. We had to call someone over to order drinks. 2. We had to ask to order food. 3. No tables around us were used whilst we were there (? fully booked)! 4. We had to ask for dessert menu 5. We all would have ordered dessert had someone come back to take our order. 6. Above issues Discussed with manager; kindly agreed to reduce tab by 10% & would also remove (discretionary) service charge. 7. Bill presented by manager that contained items not consumed by us; revised bill requested. 8. Deputy manager apologised & offered to remove DISCRETIONARY service charge 🙄 The food is let down by the poor service. Best part of £200 spent at our local & unfortunately were left disappointed despite talking face to face with management. Altitude & demeanour of staff really not great. Unsurprisingly no service charge was left (which is VERY unlike us)!

Such a lovely place to be especially on sunny days that we are having this weekend. Huge variety of cider that you won’t find anywhere else neither on a tap nor in retail. It is one of the most beautiful establishments in North Somerset for sure 👌

A good place for drinks. Staff are friendly. Food is OK but overpriced for the average quality in my opinion. Service is amiable with a 10% service fee added to the bill as a "suggestion". We'll stick to just drinks in the future. The pub and pub menu are worth going for.

Came for 60th birthday meal with my partner. Had to send my monkfish dish back because it was raw inside and on luke warm sauce. Waited for it to be replaced, then my side of greens was cold, and my partners meal was cold because he didn't want to eat while I had nothing. Replacement meal came with watery sauce and no lentils. £25 For the main course I expected better! Really spoilt what should have been a special evening. They charged us half price for my main course as an apology.

Had a diabolical meal here. I was really looking forward to the fillet steak with potato and cheese gratin, with a side order of thick-cut chips and onions in balsamic vinegar, whilst my wife ordered the Lamb and beetroot, with chipped potatoes in skins. It took over an hour for our meals to arrive, and when it did, what a disappointment! My side order of chips was cold, it looked like the fillet steak had been left on the side for the hour we had waited. There was no steak knife, and I had to ask for that, but to be fair, a pneumatic drill might have been more appropriate. Although I asked for medium-rare, it was that tough and stringy and the onions more suited to lead pellets, it put me right off my appetite. Will certainly not be visiting this restaurant again in a hurry! The only saving grace was the tasty Thatcher's Dry Cider.

One of the best dining experiences I've had in recent memory. Expensive but truly worth it. I had crispy beef to start which came with a tasty salad base drizzled with honey, and a gorgeous pork main that came with a quirky prune puree. We enjoyed our meal in the lovely greenhouse room, which is a roomy and pleasant space with lots of hanging plants and large windows for the sun to shine in. This venue made our anniversary very special and we will absolutely visit again.

First off I want to say that they sell the world's best cider here. Unfortunately the food didn't hold up to our expectations. The mussels tastes like they were undercooked and felt gritty, we found the burger buns to be very though and the falafel dry. The tartar sauce was the best we ever had nonetheless.

Beautiful place. We love locally but had never been in so we chose to go for my husbands birthday. Staff were wonderful, food choice were great, lots of what you would think was a standard meal but with a thatchers twist. All the drinks available as well as a great choice for non cider drinkers. Huge garden area with plenty of parking. Great little surprise of brownies with a happy birthday slate at the end of the evening so really thoughtful. More expensive than some places but the quality was amazing and lived up the positive reviews from friends. Highly recommend and will go again. Very busy on weekends, recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.

Usually you get good food and service at the Railway, but not tonight! Service was poor, food late and parts of orders missed. Very disapointing!

Sat on the site of “Myrtle Farm” the home of “Thatchers Cider Makers” the pub is a fabulous setting to dine. The food was excellent as was the care and attention of the staff. The large glass windows allow the sunn to illuminate the dining area with the backdrop being the Thatcher Factory. The menu is Gluten Free friendly with great selection of delicious dishes to choose from. One item that caught us off guard was the tomato sauce which was not GF however the staff were diligent and asked the chef just to make sure . Our waitress raced to our table with a pot of “Heinz” tomato sauce saying “please don’t eat the one you have” My daughter suffered a small reaction but the diligence of the Lady who served us was brilliant. If it was not hundreds of miles away we would dine there more often. We will book on the Tour soon then dine in the Thatchers Railway Inn Paul (Bury Lancashire)

Very disappointed by the Station Kitchen (outside food) very poor choice, nothing for kids other than chips (£3.50) expensive for what you got (which was to be expected) and food just not that good. Chargrilled vegetable pitta (£8) made me very glad not to be vegi (got it for my 3yr & 9mnth old to share). Burger was pretty thin for £10 (no chips included). Was not even that impressed with the chips. The other two food options were haddock bites £10 and Chargrilled corn on the cob £5. Cider over £5 pint. Can't comment on the main indoor menu. Shame about the choice as there were lots of families and children outside and it's right next to Strawberry line.

The most expensive cheese sandwich I have ever bought ( including London). Was served in a box with a little salad and two potato ‘hash browns’ one of which was still partly frozen in the middle. I arranged a collection time as they stated that there was a half hour wait but when I returned the food still wasn’t ready for collection. I waited another ten minutes before it was ready. Very poor service and hugely over priced. The sandwich with a bottle of water was over £13!
