I've had the pleasure of visiting High Grange fire school four times now, and I can’t recommend it enough! Each time, I leave feeling inspired and more confident in my outdoor cooking skills. The practical teaching methods are fantastic, and whether you’re a complete novice or have some experience, there’s something for everyone. Luke is a first class teacher — he’s incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to answer any questions. I’ve learned how to cook with both charcoal and wood, and it’s been a game-changer for me. If you’re looking to elevate your outdoor cooking game, this is the place to be!

“Seafood from the coast of Exmouth straight to your plate. This is what the website says and that is exactly what you get. Tucked away just behind the main street in Exmouth is this lovely seafood restaurant. A small bar and dining area downstairs with more dining and the kitchen upstairs. If you can secure a table upstairs you can see many of the dishes being prepared in front of you. The menu is as you would expect mainly fish with a meat option of steak. Starters are around £7-10 with mains between £28-32. My only slight grumble is that potatoes/chips and greens are all extra. At these prices they should be included. We were a party of 5 (6 is the maximum table size) and we all had really excellent and memorable food. One of our party was 90 and thought her fish was one of the best she had ever tasted. There is a good wine list with prices starting at £22 per bottle.

We had an amazing stay at the Bear Bread Bakery B&B! The place is lovely and quirky, really well located and the owners made us feel super welcome. Breakfast was also outstanding - perfect way to start the day!
Passiflora is a lovely coffee shop surrounded by idyllic gardens. The coffee and pastries are extremely delicious and the vibe exceptionally salubrious. So far, three generations are creating a wonderful atmosphere for conversation and relaxation. Watch out Mary Berry, Grandma makes a wicked Victoria Sponge! 🌿😋☕️🍰🌸
We would TOTALLY agree with the One review. A gem of a find. It has been a very long time since we have enjoyed such finger-licking (yes, we had the tiger prawns; exceptional, as were the samosas!) unpretentious, tasty, expertly prepared, top quality food, for a very reasonable price. All freshly prepared, as we waited. Met with a warm welcome, with an abundance of enthusiasm to check we were enjoying our flavoursome Portuguese fayre. Our taste buds had a full workout! Our hosts are rightfully proud of their mama’s culinary skills and the evident love and care she lavishes on her creations. The menu is simple, but powerful. We will definitely be back for more. Thank you for making my husband’s birthday lunch an absolute delight. Obrigado! Tina & family
We were invited for breakfast as my cousin Andy/Samuel passed away and he was there neighbour. They made us breakfast, with coffee, tea and a selection of cakes. They treated us with the upmost respect and they were very kind. The whole family are very grateful. Thank you from his family in middlesbrough xx
Great little hidden Pizza place just behind the sea front at Seaton. Nice ambience and friendly and helpful staff. The Pizzas are not the usual run of the mill drowning in toppings and hope you don't notice they all taste the same .... rather they combine uncommon ingredients on a large edge thin based 12" - things like roasted artichoke, Mackerel, lemon zest, even honey. The results are simply mouth wateringly superb.
I was in two minds on whether to review The Cuppa Cabin. On the one hand it is a very unique place that serves great coffee and cakes and yet on the other Im worried it will get super popular as more and more people visit this wonderful place and it will get much harder to find a parking space!!
This is literally 5 mins away from me and yet amazingly this was my first visit. I had looked at the place as I had driven past numerous times and thought it looked just like some sheds in a car park. How wrong I was, it is like a mini theme park when you get there, a collection of cabins with an eclectic mix of antique furniture, books galore and oddities, like a cross between an amazing junk shop, an old book store and Enid Blytons secret garden. I half expected to come across some pixies flying around.
Anyway great coffee, lovely cheery lady and tasty cakes (pastries and other savouries are also available) what more could you ask for ?

If I was to sum up our visit today in one word it would be…. Ansum
( Devon for lovey or proper job for those who are not from these parts. )
Excellent cheese scone, dog friendly, spotlessly clean and happy staff.
We will be back.
