The best restaurants serving Default food in St Germans Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

We came and stayed here for a night this weekend. Staff and really friendly, room was great and the food was amazing. Breakfast was also included and again was amazing. The chef is quality. 100yrds away from the sea. Definitely will use again. Thanks for having us.

Had a lovely lunch today, food was excellent, portion sizes generous, price fantastic. Served by Ewan and Sam both in their first year and looked after us really well, good luck to them both in their hospitality careers. Can’t wait for our return visit.

We had another delicious meal at the Rod and line. The staff were so welcoming to both man and dog! The beer battered haddock was one of the best, freshly and expertly cooked. Thank you again for having us.

Highly recommend! Lovely Sunday lunch in an unusual setting just a stones throw from Looe. The weather was glorious so we enjoyed a drink outside before eating inside at beautiful handmade tables made by the owners from local wood. John was a lovely host, who gave us lots of insight into the history of the Mill as well as the surrounding areas. We’ll be back!

My first and last visit. Car park full so I thought place must be good. 1. The decor was 1950's jaded like the interior of a care home. A vibe of death. 2. Overpriced rubbish. Ordered 1 'large' fish n chips and 1 'small' fish n chips. £12 and £16. Both meals were same size. The chips were hard on the inside. Cooked on outside only. I cant believe people put up with this poor excuse for a meal. You make your £ on desperate people. D I S G R A C E F U L RIP OFF !

Great food, great service, went 3 days in one week! I had something different each time and it's was all really nice. Great if you want a breakfast early afternoon because they keep a lot of their breakfast menu going all day.

Been staying at Port Elliot Estate for weekend so popped in for takeaway on Friday evening, between 6 of us we had the Cod , Chips & peas, chicken burger and the Scholars burger and all where fantastic. On the strength of the takeaway we booked for the Sunday Carvery, well what can I say ,Service was spot on the carvery was absolutely superb and chef Andy dished it beautifully and exp,aimed how he had cooked each the green and with what ingredients. All in all first class service, first class food but all at a price that surprised even us Cornishmen, fantastic value for money. Well done team Scholars.

Nos dimos el capricho dos veces en noviembre para el almuerzo del domingo en el Sail Loft Suite y disfrutamos de ambas visitas muchísimo. una excelente comida de asado, homestyle fresca cocina sin el trabajo! Uno de los domingos, el chef siempre estaba enfermo y uno de sus colaboradores y produjo un super comida, así que mis felicitaciones a todo el equipo! Es estupendo tener un día de cocinar y todavía tienen una comida casera, con carne y vegetales frescos en un lugar muy agradable. Estamos teniendo una cena de cumpleaños para nuestro hijo un domingo en diciembre, así que esperamos que también.

We visited twice whilst holidaying in the area. Very warm welcome both times. Food was very good. Pub is delightful. Will be back!

Ordered a takeaway for delivery despite the poor reviews of late - came ahead of schedule and everything we had was hot and very tasty not one thing we could complain about - vey good food

Tasty breakfast just what the Dr ordered. Friendly staff and very welcoming. Definitely worth a try guys, won’t be disappointed.

this has to be the worst dining experience of my life, to start with we were at our table for 30 minutes before anyone came to see us, we ordered drinks and waited another 15 minuets and nothing happened I then asked what was going on and was told that the waiter didn't know what he was doing and we had to reorder. the starter arrived and was nice, then we went into the Carvery only to be told that had run out of meat and only had turkey left. the vegetables were under cooked and look warm. when my sweet eventually arrived it was not cooked and inedible, on the whole the service was extremely slow and the food extremely bad. so do yourself a favour and do not go here to dine
