What a fantastic place! A warm welcome, where nothing seems to be any trouble. Very busy in the evening, but that didn't affect the level of service, from a young serving staff. The room was clean , and the bed was comfortable. A great place to base yourself for expi Devon and Cornwall. Breakfast was good, with self service for toast, tea and coffee. Would definitely stay again!!

Lovely pub full of character staff very welcoming and friendly. Lovely choices on menu and food very nice ate here 8 times in 2 weeks while on holiday near by. Nothing too much trouble for staff. I would highly recommend a visit they dog friendly as well which was perfect as we took our dog away with us.

Unfortunately, there was an issue at the property we had booked, and needed to find somewhere at very short notice. The staff at The Weary Friar could not have been more helpful. We were able to book a comfortable double room with no trouble. Due to the issue with our other property, we had to cancel the dinner we had booked, but we thoroughly enjoyed the meal we had at The Friar - beautifully cooked haddock and proper home made lasagne, with lemon pudding! Breakfast was well worth having, with everything you could ask for: cereals, toast, jam, yoghurt, fruit, full English and any type of eggs cooked to perfection. The pub is completely charming, with separate dining areas, although you can eat in the bar if you choose. I would recommend this place for couples, families or business travellers.

We turned up for my birthday meal as a family of 6 adults and 3 children.We were seated quite quickly and offered drinks . We then had the menus and made our selections . Our starters came out minus 2 so we thought they would follow shortly but we sat and waited and no staff came to ask if our food was ok and still no missing starters by which time we had finished so they did not want a starter any more. The waitress when told blamed the chef.The main courses came out and were well cooked and of a good standard.When we finished it was a long time before the table was cleared and as it was my birthday a surprise cake was taken to the kitchen.we were waiting fot the cake for a long time so my son in law went up to ask what was happening and he came back saying they were all busy talking behind the bar .Eventually the cake arrived to the sound of happy birthday which was nice but I am afraid it was not the icing on the cake. I was not impressed at all with the service we recieved and will not be coming back in the near future as it is a shame as we used to like dining there. Perhaps the filming of beyond paradise has gone to there heads. Signed a very disappointed customer.

Lovely location and the staff are always a pleasure. The food is well cooked, pub food and the menu provides choice without being too overwhelming. A specials menu is also always offered and portions are generous. The bar stocks a very good range of drinks, both draft and bottled, and there is a good selection of spirits. The pub caters for everyone two legged, and four. My boyfriend and I have eaten here several times, which I believe reflects the quality and service offered. Many thanks!

I stayed at this Inn for a couple of days and enjoyed the experience very much.The meals were very good with generous food portions and a cosy eating area with ample space.The only thing was there were some annoying flies that were around but that is what you get with a warm summer.

Well i had heard that since the new owner had taken over the quality of the food had dropped. and this place being my old local had to check it out, so last night a friend and i booked a table and went to see, well i'm happy to say those who told me were completely wrong , i found the food to be of a high quality. and even more surprised about the cost.Having had 4 drinks 2 main meals and joint dessert my bill was just a £33.40 which i find very good value, and by 8 pm the place was nearly full and you don't get custom like that with bad food, well done weary and good luck for the future.

We stayed there for a week, rooms very English ;). I loved the ENglish breakfast, some dinners were excellent, the curry dinner was Ok-ish.

We stayed at the Weary Friar for two nights, our room 27 was clean and tidy with a lovely view of the countryside. We had a lovely meal in the bar and found everyone to be friendly. I would recommend anyone to visit.

Stayed here for 3 nights on business and what a refreshing change from the usual stagnant corporate hotels! Such a warm, genuine welcome on arrival. The room was clean, fresh and homely. The restaurant menu was great and the food absolutely delicious. Looking forward to returning in the future.

Visited without booking and received a very friendly welcome. I chose a crab salad. It was delicious and there was lots of crab. Looking forward to next visit.

My husband and I have just spent two nights here so explore the local area and go to the Eden Project. We have thoroughly our stay! We dined in for the two nights (steak cooked to perfection and mushroom stroganoff on the Friday and perfect steak again and hunters chicken on the Saturday) and ate the lot! The cooked breakfast was also great, the rooms clean and comfortable and the staff lovely. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you Ryan and team!

Where do I start. Took ages 20 min or more for the stavgered starters to come out. We ordered two tiger prawn. Got 1 chicken goujon 1 prawn.mush in breadcrumb. Both tasted the same. Bbq dip. Over cookedLooking at the menu after. The tiger prawns should have been cooked in filo pastry Defo not that!!!!Steaks eventually came stagered. We ordered two m/r. Both med to well to say the least. Chips tepid so where peas . Mushrooms dry borderline slimy.. Couldn't eat mine.. hubby ate his reluctantly. I had a refund. The whole service was a bit of a shambles. Although the service staff did their best. Im not a fish eater usually. But the fish n chips did look nice. I can only say from our psrty experience as the menu we bad to choose from wax very limited to say ths least. Then they git it wrong.Such a shame as tge oub has oldy wordly charm.Well hey ho. Had a toastie when I got home. So alls good in the end

Firstly a huge thanks to the staff here. We were met with a smile this a typical country pub/restaurant, plenty of original features, low ceilings and beams. The menu offered a good choice and a good variety, specials were on a separate sheet but the proof would be in the eating. The meal was nicely presented cooked perfectly and hot. The nice thing about our meal was that we didn't get asked if everything was OK which was nice, when I paid the young lady did check that all was OK, unfortunately due to the size of the meal we couldn't fit in a dessert but next I am determined that I'll have one. Coming to the end of a week in a local cottage and we have eaten 3 meals at the Weary Friar. Staff and welcome excellent especially for our slightly anxious Labrador.Typical pub food BUT generous portions and very well done - last meal was a sirloin steak and it was perfectly rare as requested - usually I tolerate medium steaks in pubs by the time they have been sitting under heat for a while but this was perfect - my wife enjoyed a lovely rhubarb and ginger Gin with her meal I’m sure I’ll be back next time we stay here

The food here is always above average. The type of food that my teenage daughters would eat rather than fine dining. Uncomplicated and predictable with no nasty surprises. The fish and chips are good as is the popular butterfly chicken with cheese, bbq sauce and chips. Best of all, they serve Tribute, the best beer in Europe (according to my foreign beer drinking visitors)! Actually I agree...

Stayed for 3 nights at The Weary Friar. Used as a base for getting around that area of Cornwall.Room 25 - small, but clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee making facility in the room. Rural views.Busy when we stayed, but service was very good and team were lovely. Food - had 3 evening meals and a breakfast. All very good. Location - a bit out of the way, but worth it. If you stay, take a walk down to the clapper bridge and see the river.

Our first visit following the change of ownership last year so slightly apprehensive. However, the pub and atmosphere is unchanged and we enjoyed spending a cold rainy Easter Sunday evening next to the roaring log fire. We all had the Sunday Roast, some having Turkey others Beef, and all thoroughly enjoyed it. Good size portions and great value at £9.95. Delicious food and friendly service. The Landlord and Chef were very friendly and happy to chat and we have already rebooked for next weekend. Recommend.

One of the best things about living in a small country village is having a friendly meeting place, and The Weary Friar fits the bill perfectly. Hearty, home-cooked food and a genuine, welcoming team makes it a great place for meals and drinks alike.

Just back from spending 2 nights staying at the weary Friar.Very nice accommodation,excellent sleep both nights in a very, cosy bed with everything we needed in the room .We arrived on what must have been the coldest weekend of the year but the pub and our room was very cosy and warm and ready when we arrived.Breakfast was served in the morning at a time we chose,I had the poached eggs,they were very enjoyable and cooked just how i like them.My partner and his brother both had the full English , They said it was superb especially the sausages,which we were told were from the local farm.We didn't have food other than breakfast in the pub as we were visiting family,but what we saw being served up looked very appetising and very generous servings..We will definitely stay in the pub again when down that way.lovely friendly staff who made us feel welcome .

Last night was my first visit. I went with friends and we had an excellent night. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent, with a great choice on the menu. The cheeseboard was a thing of beauty. Thoroughly recommended.

Both times I ate here were good experiences. The Thai fish cakes were great and the gammon steak with chips egg and pineapple very good. Nice attentive staff with good solid above average food.

Have been to this Restaurant with a big group every Christmas for the last 10 years. This is the first time we have met with such appalling service. We had a long wait between courses and a wait of nearly 40 minutes for coffee to be served.The food however was very good. I understand the Restaurant has been under new Management since April. They really need to work on their service in order to stay in business.

We have visited this pub for many years at this time of year when we come to St Mellion to play golf for the week. Normally very busy for Sunday lunches so we booked ahead. It was clear that things had changed when we saw a half empty car park. We had 4 straight forward Sunday roasts. Nothing really wrong with them but not a patch on previous ones had here. Difficult to really be specific but it was really those small things that make your experience memorable and enjoyable. Meal was served fully plated up with all the vegetables in neat straight lines on the plate. Just not an attractive look! Previously the waiting staff were very chirpy and all dressed smartly in the same white blouse and black trousers/skirt. Cracked teapot. Staff not eating at the bar with customers still present. Placemats on tables. Bar staff looking presentable not wearing scruffy jeans. Sorry to be a bit picky and negative but these little things do make a difference and could be the deciding factor between successor failure for the new licensees.We would like to come back but would need to see that they had upped their game.

We were staying at the Weary Friar, while attending a wedding at the St Mellion golf resort, near by. Under recent new ownership, we met by the owner and felt very welcomed. Rooms we stayed in were very clean and well looked after while retaining the charm of the pub. We actually came back to the Weary Friar than stay at St Mellion, in between the day and evening do....the barmaid had us laughing and we gave as good as we got!and the locals were very engaging,to the point that we were given a lift back to St Mellion later in the evening rather than a taxi! We enquired about food,but knew we were eating later at St Mellion.....they were due to do 80 covers over the evening! Very impressed! To be in the "middle of nowwhere" and be fully booked.We will be back to try the food (real ale,tribute and doom and choices of spirits very good). We had a great time...and we only live in Plymouth,but were glad we stayed the night. Prices of rooms very reasonable!!

Booked into the pub for 14/10/17 - 15/10/17 one night for my granddaughter and two nights for me, initially I was put into room 11 the shower was two rubber tubes you attach to the taps in the bath and a shower head. Room 10 Granddaughters room had a proper shower over the bath, because I was staying two nights we changed rooms and she could use the facilities anytime. On our arrival very pleasant young lady called Amelia. I mentioned we would be dining in, but my doubts started when I could smell the cooking oil that permeated throughout the establishment it needed changing. After a trip into Plymouth to check where we needed to be, the following day we ordered our meal in the pub, I ordered Sirloin Steak Medium rare more rare than anything . It arrived the steak was well done in fact it had not been freshly cooked it had been warmed up I should have complained then, we had been up at 4 am, driven 320 miles tired and hungry it was an emotional time for my granddaughter who was joining the navy the following day. Amelia came and asked if everything was alright I said No not really and told what I've previously said. Amelia informed me that she would let those concerned know. Nothing I expected the person who ruined that piece of meat to come out, Nothing. Breakfast the following morning my granddaughter had asked the previous day if they had kippers "Yes" was the reply in the morning "No, we don't have kippers" My G/daughter opted for poached eggs on toast they arrived on toast no butter round hard and staring at you like Marty Feldmans eyes. A lady at another table arrived after us she ordered poached eggs and her face said it all. On paying my bill the following day I said to who I assume was the licensee "Were you responsible for ruining the steak on Saturday night." "It was the chef that cooked if there was anything wrong with it you should have mentioned it then" Which I had done that was the response I got.

Great night out if you want to go out without the poor people. Good honest food , done well. Not the cheapest place around but the food id consistantly good. Decent pint of beer thrown in as well. Don't know the lady who works behind the bar, she seems to be there all the time..anyway, always welcoming which makes all the difference when spending your hard earned cash!

Visited as a family of four when staying nearby. Really warm welcome from staff, lovely fire roaring in the grate and a nice buzz of people chatting. ( not playing on phones)The decor is dated, traditional to be kind and trendy London hipsters will call it "retro". However, it works for an older building and dark wood tables suit the traditional atmosphere. We had 4fresh lovely meals, gammon, lamb, sausage and veggie pasta. All simple but delicious. Staff friendly and beer reasonable. 3.40/ pint I think. Overall spend was £72 including drinks.Good proper pub food, mix of locals and tourists. Not a kids pub, no gimmicks no wifi, no fancy Cappamochafrappacino. No fancy panfried fillet of a thing with a foam/ jus/reduction. Nothing serve with a flower.Great find and would definitely pop in again when in the area. More of these please!!!

Not the sort of place you would stumble upon. Beyond the middle of nowhere. It's OK but that is it. Rooms are clean but need up dating. Food was so so. Think I will have forgotten this place in two months.

We were staying nearby and we had four meals here. It was a perfect old village pub . The food was very good , nothing fancy but all well cooked. The staff were very friendly and made us most welcome. It did get crowded so booking was advisable.

On 27th March 2017 I booked two rooms for the night of Saturday 26th August 2017 as I was due to attend a wedding nearby. When making the booking I offered to leave credit card details to reserve the rooms but was told that was not necessary. On 25th August at 11:16 am I telephoned to double check that they were expecting me. I was told that there was no record of my booking, but that was probably because I had booked via telephone and not on the internet. I was told that there was a different booking system for that which the person I spoke to did not know how to access. I was told that rooms were available anyway, so it was not a problem one way or another, but the manager would call me right back nonetheless. I did not receive any call so at 2:50 pm I called. I was told that there was no record of my booking and they were fully booked. Somewhat irked, I requested help in finding alternative accommodation as I was at that time stuck in a traffic jam on the M5 and unable to do so for myself. The woman I spoke to called me back and said that everywhere in the immediate vicinity was booked up (it was a bank holiday weekend) but she had found somewhere further afield. I asked her to call me back with a room rate and asked that the manager call me back to confirm that (s)he would cover any difference in price and that I was expecting an apology. I never heard from them again. This error caused enormous stress and disruption to my plans and those of a friend also attending the wedding. I am appalled that the manager has lacked the decency to call me back. This all happened on Friday 25th August and I am writing this on Wednesday 30th August, so it is safe to assume that I won't now hear. What a coward. These people simply don't care about their customers, so I urge you not to stay, eat or drink here. I sincerely hope that this review damages a business which is run by people who are undeserving of any success.

My wife and I had a very relaxing few days staying here and visiting the surrounding area. The village is very quite but friendly. Access is via narrow roads as are most small villages in Cornwall.

Visited the Weary Friar for the first time since Christmas. Staff made us very welcome and service was good. Lovely hot, tasty meals despite change of ownership, we were not disappointed. Definitely returning soon.

Un grupo de amigos comimos aquí esta noche. Esperamos más de una hora para la comida y no estaba lleno! Cuando la comida llegó, 2 había ordenado la 'Tarta del día", que nos dijeron que era de pollo, las tartas fueron de hecho carne. La camarera no tenía me transmitió que no había tartas de pollo! ! Uno de los destinatarios había elegido tarta de pollo porque eran incapaces de comer carne, pero muy poco ofreció disculpa y una comida estaba pagado, pero no para ser consumidos sin recompensa futura! ! Las verduras estaban más duras que 'al dente' y no se puede cortar fácilmente con un cuchillo! !Elegí la lasaña casera con patatas fritas y ensalada. Por desgracia, había salsa muy poco de ningún tipo. . . . Me pareció un poco de salsa en una zona muy bate pequeño y no había pruebas de un Ragu. Mis patatas fritas eran 'tibios'. Elección de mi esposo de 3 salchichas y puré estaba bien, pero muy caro para la cantidad de comida que se sirve.En conjunto una experiencia decepcionante y que no te apresures a repetir muy pronto.Hemos comido aquí varias veces durante los últimos 35 años y estoy triste al decir que esta es la peor experiencia de comida mediocre a precios inflados. Creo que la nueva administración y chef tienen mucho que aprender.

Stayed four nights with work mates....absolutely spotless, great food too, rooms great staff great next time I am down here staying here

Visitamos con la familia para un almuerzo de cumpleaños. Reservar una mesa con anticipación, pero el lugar estaba vacío, así que podíamos sentarnos donde quisiéramos. El servicio era amable pero dónde comenzar en la experiencia en general?Entradas eran bastante agradables pero claramente algo congelado de una bolsa.Pedí un brie, arándanos y uva bocata rápido con patatas y bacon y brie recibido sin patatas fritas. Me dijeron que les gustaría reemplazar y luego me dijeron que no ya que sándwich (aunque la camarera tenía doble me que eso es lo que me había pedido). Instalamos sólo brie y arándano que venía con una cuña de queso ridículamente enorme, que era bastante poco atractiva.Mi madre preguntó por las patatas con su comida, pero venía con patatas, así que tuvimos que tomar de ella. Su pollo estaba recocido y casi incomible, ni cualquier salsa, y su verduras (judías verdes y zanahoria) eran prácticamente cruda.Por el momento los errores cometidos en la comida se corrigió mi padre habían casi terminado su chili (que parecía salido de una lata) ya.Cuando llegó la hora de pagar que añadía parte de la orden de alguien a nuestra cuenta y tardó años en solucionar.Teniendo en cuenta los precios en este lugar la calidad de la comida era inexcusable de verdad. Una pena, ya que solía ser adorable y el edificio en sí se presta a un gran país pub/restaurante experiencia.

Nos una mesa para 6 personas. Empezó mal cuando dos de los entrantes que pedimos no estaban disponibles. 7:00 y ya. Sopa del día como lo anunciaban era tomate y albahaca. Cuando llegó era de puerro y creo coliflor. El pescado entrante estaba frío y el lados con un plato tenía que ser pedido. Me había pescado y patatas fritas y sorprendió cómo las raciones había reducido de nuestros propietarios. El pescado utilizado para colgar la placa oval longitudinalmente. Este poco equipadas. ancho formas No gusto más fresco. Lasaña tuvimos la mayoría de nosotros, y también se ha reducido en tamaño de este. Ahora sirve en un bol pequeño, y digo poco. No nos molestamos con desierto, así que no puedo comentar aquí. No volveremos me temo. Una pena, ya que este era el único realmente bueno para comer casa.

Pub regresar a nuestro favorito para comer después de estar lejos de 4 meses me han cambiado la gestión y el chef, la comida era sosa y a diferencia de anteriores propietarios donde fue un placer tomar amigos y familiares como las comidas eran deliciosos. No volveremos. Muy triste.

Poor service and even worse food, what more is there to say? It was not busy but we were kept waiting 45 mins from order to food delivery and when it came it was not worth the wait.

Parando en la zona, este Pub estaba recomendado. Nos detuvimos para una bebida después de ciclismo de nuestra casa de vacaciones. El propietario amable y personal. Encantador pub país. Decidimos volver para la cena. Reservamos una mesa con antelación ya que este lugar es muy popular. Ambos tenían los aperitivos y platos principales. La comida llegó en buen tiempo. Era sabrosa, y a un precio razonable. Sin duda volveremos. Gran servicio, buena selección de bebidas, menú encantador y el personal amable. ¿Qué más se puede pedir!

Después de la comida de las 8 pm nuestra orden sólo fue tomada en 8. 45:00 cuando ya estábamos cansados de esperar y dejó la mesa y fuimos a la barra a pedir, el pub estaba en ninguna manera ocupado! ! El asistente masculino alto y rubio no tiene ni idea de cómo tratar a los clientes y realmente sirven o permite este pub. Con un de los desastres calalogue debido principalmente a esta persona tengo que decir que la comida era buena, aunque el menú se ha reducido enormemente los nuevos propietarios. En la justicia la nueva señora tierra se disculpó varias veces, (algo que el asistente no lo hacen) y no para empezar, pero si quieren mantener la buena reputación que ha construido para este pub a lo largo de los años lo que tienen que hacer algo sobre el personal.

He comido en el fraile cansado muchas veces a lo largo de los años. El menú era siempre de forma fiable la calidad basándose en estándar. El nuevo propietario, el favoritos tradicionales se han mantenido, pero dieron un toque deliciosamente matizado por el nuevo chef.En particular, el puerro y sopa de patatas era absolutamente excepcional.

Encontramos este lugar el martes por la noche, leer una crítica mala crítica. Pensamos intentarlo.Los nuevos propietarios que sirven comida fresca, mucha variedad y servicio amable. Tan bueno que habíamos reservado para la noche de jueves. Bien vale la pena si estás en la zona.

Estábamos cerca del complejo de la calle, y El cansado mellion Fraile está a un corto trayecto en coche, en un entorno pintoresco junto a la antigua iglesia del pueblo. Pasamos una noche fantástica, recibiendo una cálida bienvenida de los nuevos propietarios, que son claramente tratando muy duro para asegurarme de que la gente disfrute de su visita a esta antigua atmosférica inn. El servicio fue rápido y la comida era realmente deliciosa. El menú es limitado por el momento, pero todo era excelente. Deseamos que los nuevos propietarios cada éxito, y recomiendo vivamente una visita aquí si estás en la zona.

Unexpected visit with family . The food was amazing, friendly service. The spinach and ricotta cannelloni was the best i'd ever tasted. Will certainly be going back.

We visited with friends and I'm pretty sure it was the same evening as the people in the review below, who wished us luck as they left clearly unhappy.Sadly we didn't get that luck! The manager pointed out that there was a restricted menu due to having a new chef, disappointed as we'd told our visitor friends what a wonderful menu the Weary Friar had. One of our party ordered the Tiger Prawns only to be told they were off the already restricted menu!!Our starters arrived after quite a long wait, but were wrong, the correct order of tomatoe soup was then brought to the table, but it was barely warm, we asked for it to be heated up, on returning it was only just a little better!One of the party had crab crab cakes which were overcooked and two had battered mushrooms which were pretty bland.Our mains then arrived, the scampiwas dreadful, soggy breadcrumbs and what was inside was questionable, certainly didn't look or taste like scampi. The fish & chips was tasteless and the two orders for steak & ale pie were horrendous, watery mash, carrots that tasted like perfume and two pieces of very hard pastry with a filling which can only be described as diabolical, it made my school dinners from 50yrs ago look like a la carte! We are roughly 20% of the food before giving up! Before the meals came out we'd been asked if we needed any sauces, mayo, tomato and tartare were asked for, but yes, the tartare didn't arrive, I sought out the manager to ask for the sauce, he apologised and said he'd sort it, after another few mins it still hasn't arrived so I again asked him, his reply was,"haven't one of the girls brought it?", we'll clearly not! After having just had one party leave the restaurant very disgruntled you may have thought the staff would've pulled out all the stops wouldn't you? The young girls serving clearly didn't want to be there, they were shaking as they cleared the table, dropping cutlery and banging plates, what was going off behind the scenes was clearly affecting them, there was no,"is everything ok with your meals?", nothing!This used to be one of our favourite places for a guaranteed lovely meal with equally good service, I've recommended the Weary Friar to many visitors to the St Mellion resort, not any more!There was no atmosphere in the place as word has clearly got around after the change in management, the whole experience was shocking! I did approach the manager to have a quiet word and so we were not overheard by the only other group of people in there.I explained all the issues we had and he explained that they were trying to build a team, new chef on his own etc, but that's why there was a restricted menu surely, so he can ensure he gets it right? As it was possibly the worst meal and experience I've has in a pub/restaurant I told the manager I was only prepared to pay for the drinks and starters, he replied he thought that was harsh and unfair, to be honest I thought it was very fair, I didn't want to pay for the starters to be honest!This place needs to up their game and quickly plus a change of attitude wouldn't go amiss!

Fuimos un domingo, habíamos reservado el día anterior. Éramos un grupo de 5 adultos y 3 niños.El personal veía acosada, no estoy seguro, pero me parecía escaso. Tuvimos que pedir menús, etc. La señora de detrás de la barra, posiblemente el gerente/propietario, no sonrisa todo el tiempo.La comida estaba bien. We had a gift voucher at Christmas towards a meal at the Weary Friar. The fillet steak was the best I have had for a very long time, full marks to the chef. Would not hesitate in making a return visit.

Just had an early supper at The a Weary Friar. We had a warm welcome. The food was above average pub grub with a good varied menu choice. We would recommend this pub/inn to anyone but note that dogs are not welcomed/allowed

Stayed here for one night in August, everyone was very friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable but could do with a little updating. The pub itself was great, the beer was good and the food was excellent, would certainly go there again

No tuvimos que esperar mucho tiempo para unas comidas.Recomendaría los cansados para una comida en cualquier momento.

Mi marido y yo nos alojamos en una cabaña justo al final de la carretera y nos recomendaron el pub ya que estaba a una corta distancia a pie. Nos metimos en el sábado por la tarde para tomar una bebida rápida y reservar una mesa para la cena. La señora que nos servía (y parecía ser el lugar) muy brusquedad nos dijo que no podía ya que estaban llenos. Nos sorprendió que ni siquiera se nos podría quizás temprano si liberamos la mesa por un cierto tiempo. Especialmente, porque nos metimos en tan sólo para una bebida más tarde y vimos el un número de mesas se quedó vacío hasta 8 o 8,30 . Nos hubiera encantado comido en 6! Durante nuestra corta visita nos dieron la impresión de que cualquier cálida bienvenida y buen servicio estaba reservada para los lugareños o los huéspedes del hotel. Como mi marido puesto que 'la calidez que nos dieron fue de log fire! ».

Pequeño pub justo fuera del país Saltash, un extenso menú, una deliciosa comida casera, buenas raciones, y un personal muy atento, fuimos muy bien acogidos en la tardecita dijimos y nos sorprendió encontrar por lo menos 6 mesas reservados, pero nos las arreglamos para conseguir una mesa. Bien vale la pena el viaje por pequeños caminos y el país lo recomendaría sin duda. Muy satisfecho

M had a really nice piece of salmon with a disappointingly basic salad, followed by nice strawberries and ice cream. I had liver and bacon which was good, followed by rather good cheese and biscuits. Welcoming atmosphere, pleasant friendly service.

La única pega es que no vivimos lo suficientemente cerca de trabajo nuestro camino a través del menú. Sin duda volveremos en nuestra próxima visita a Cornwall.

Fuimos a El Lazy fray hoy para el almuerzo de domingo con Tinmog (la sección de Cornwall del Morgan Sports Car Club). Bien, fue una excelente comida. Mi esposa y yo fuimos para la carne asada, lo cual era perfecto, seguido de cheesecake para mi esposa y un excelente y generosas proporciones pegajoso Ginger pudding con salsa de jengibre y crema pastelera, que no he tenido antes, para mí. Un pequeño tributo y oro de Thatcher terminado el trabajo. Una buena elección para nuestra salir y bien vale la pena negociar los carriles para llegar allí, aunque la próxima vez iré via Hatt en vez de seguir mi navegador vía satélite al otro lado de un Ford y por un puente de clapper que me tenía respirar!
