We ate a stunning Sunday Roast. Tender Roast Beef and slow Roast Belly Pork. Massive Yorkshire pudding, Leeks in a cheese sauce, braised Red cabbage, Roast Potatoes and veg. Followed by Sticky Toffee pudding with clotted cream All washed down with a couple of glasses of Red. Hands down one of the best pubs we've been to. Friendly staff and wonderful atmosphere. Thanks Emma

The decor throughout is clean, fresh and welcoming. The service was spot on by one young lady. A lot of food on the menu wasn't available. In my opinion the food was just average, nothing exciting or inventive, just typical small village pub grub. I know it's mid week and money is tight but the pub was very quiet and only one other couple came into the restaurant. Would I visit again I very much doubt it.

We were looking for somewhere to have Sunday Lunch. Passing through Landrake noticed the road sign indicating the Buller Arms off the main road. 'A' board outside showing Sunday Carvery (at a reduced price). We chose the outside seating and ordered the lunch & drinks at the bar. We were promptly brought out the cutlery etc. and told the carvery hatch was inside to the left. We are both in our late 60's so have had many a Sunday carvery in our time...where do I start? There was a choice between beef or pork we chose the beef, both the choices looked totally dried out we gave them the benefit of the doubt. The guy behind the carvery was very pleasant however carved the beef on the wrong bias producing two very stringy looking slices on each plate. Vegetables: red cabbage with sultanas, a weird sweet sickly flavour. Swede mash, had seen better days. Roast potatoes, all looked like they had been reheated from the previous Sunday with hard burnt bottoms & dry. Carrots had been chopped into fingers, again dry/weird taste & finally cabbage which was the only veg edible. My husband had a yorkshire which was so hard and dry he couldn't even cut into it despite the gravy which was indescribable. We didn't complain as you get what you pay for and did not what to make a fuss as, as we were leaving noticed a family of around 8 celebrating an event with the Sunday Carvery! Bar staff were very pleasant.

WOW had an amazing Sunday Carvery at The Bullers Arms Landrake today. The roast beef was so tender and melt in your mouth delicious. My wife is a vegetarian and they made her a veggie pie and even made her some veggie gravy which again was delicious and a nice touch. All six of our group could not fault the Sunday Carvery; so congratulations to the new chef and his team. As always a very warm welcome from the whole team and they could not do enough to make our Sunday afternoon lunch special and enjoyable. We will definitely be turning so to try the rest of the menu along with the roast. They also serves a cracking pint of Dartmoor Jail Ale 🍺 Keep up the great work guys 😉👍🏼

We talked to a couple locals and was told that this place seems to open/shut whenever they feel like it, so they dont bother with it. Almost turned away at the door when we heard music blaring from inside but we went ahead anyway. It was a side room that had music so the bar and restaurant were not really affected. The sign outside said food served all day but when we ordered a roast and they said they stopped doing food at 3 so we left again. I was actually quite glad with that response though as the place looked pretty dingy.

The bar in general was reasonably friendly if a little small. The locals hoged it which means it can be hard to order a drink. I have been in on a few occasions, however some of the patrons leave a great deal to be desired. One in particular, a scruffy individual wearing a Red Bull jacket, was very rude and used offensive language in front of my wife and young children throughtout the visit whilst we tried to eat our lunch. One of the party was crouched talking to someone seated at a table and a staff member shouted "move out of my way " and proceeded to cause an unnecessary scene , frightening the children we had with us, after which we decided to leave and go somewhere our custom was welcomed.Family friendly local pub this certainly isn't ! The vegetarian food is second to none. Excellent value with an extensive changing menu. May have to wait a while for the food, but it is always cooked fresh with amazing ingredients. If you enjoy good inovative vegetarian food then I do not think you could find better.

A traditional pub where we found the food pretty average and the service pretty slow. The welcome could be improved upon too as we felt a bit as if we were intruding!

We're not locals, but wanted to give it a try. The attitude of the staff ranged from surly to downright rude. The food may be good, but there are several pubs in the area that can produce good food and a welcoming smile. We won't be going there again.

Welcome from the landlady could use more of a smile but the gent serving made up for that. No menus as it is all written on the blackboard. Great selection even if you are vegetarian which looked better than a chain pub. We ordered our meals and were warned it would take some time as everything was done from scratch...heard it before? In what was not an unreasonable length of time the meals arrived and were well presented and excellent. I think i have had my first genuine hand made beef burger in a pub or restuarant!!! Onion rings were also clearly hand made and delicious. Kids had pudding which was also very good. All in all for less than £50 which included a number of drinks it was a fantastic meal. I would go again without any doubt. Another good local pub that shows the big corporates how to do food and beer.

We stopped here for dinner after a long day traveling and couldn't have been made to feel more welcome or like one of the local residents. Food was delicious, we had the chef burgers and they tasted better than the ones I make!! We asked the landlady if there was any where local to get some tea bags, but the only place had closed so she very very kindly gave us half a dozen tea bags so we could have morning brew in our motor home and refused any payment for them. Very lovely lady and pub and if we are ever in the area again we will most definitely be paying another visit

The menu is interesting, varied and extremely good value for money. We had fillet steaks at £14.95 and they were very good. Service is friendly and we will certainly be going again

As a sufferer of severe anxiety, I don't tend to go out much, especially on my own. This pub has changed that! After being welcomed so enthusiastically when I visited with my partner, and being made to feel so welcome, I now visit regularly and I'm not afraid to go in on my own because I know there'll always be a friendly face. I've always felt like an outsider before, no matter how long I've frequented an establishment, but the owners here had me feeling like one of the locals after just a few visits. The food is incredible, and they'll bend over backwards to accommodate you (my partner can never decide which roast to choose, so they give a mix of all of them). The menu is exciting and ever changing, and is great value for money. Thank you Bullers Arms for being such a wonderful hub of village life.

Well what a great bonus to have such a great pub/Resturant just walking distance from the cottage we rented for our holiday, on our first night we went along and the owners were so friendly as too the locals that drink there, food was great, menu was very good, we went back for Sunday lunch which was to die for to be honest, so had to go again during our stay, I had the mixed grill what a great choice, keep up the good work, ps the doom bar was good as to the otter ale, thanks for making our holiday evenings so good ;-)

We booked afternoon tea for family celebrations. Afternoon tea was presented beautifully and was delicious. Our waitress Pinka was friendly and looked after us. The special offer was a bonus too. Highly recommended!

Beautiful building. Amanda the barmaid/waitress was very helpful and friendly. My family had the ham egg and chips, which was outstanding. I had fish and chips, the fish was delicious and fresh. The puddings were sinful and beautifully made.

Went for a coffee and was told could only have take away as it was 15:40 on a Sunday, my wife and I are both disabled and I have an ostomy and asked to use the loo and was told I could only if I buy something, so it cost me 7 quid for two takeaway coffees just to use the loo....thanks national trust

We stopped for an ice cream while on the search for our car keys which we lost on the beach!! 🤦🏽♀️ The rum and raisin ice cream was AMAZING and no complaints from the kids and hubby with their choices! The lovely gent who served us got his wife Zara to help us with locating the keys which luckily where found and left at the RLNI across but was closed, she managed to find someone who got the keys So thank you so much for your help lovely people and for the ice creams! 🥰 wishing you all the best x
