Came to see a ‘Beyond Paradise’ location but that was hugely surpassed by the Stables; great service (above and beyond when I had a problem with ingredients and they worked hard to pull together a different dish), great food. Highly recommend.

We hired a space here in the evening for a work party/event. We ordered buffet style food for 14 people but left everything else to the venue so we didn’t really know what to expect. The food was amazing. Colourful, creative, fresh and full of flavour. As a food business ourselves, we can be hard to impress but these guys really did surpass any expectations. The girls on the bar were also excellent… skilled in making beautiful cocktails and nice to chat to as well. The atmosphere was perfect for our event and all the team had an incredible evening. A huge thanks to all the staff at the stables, we had a great time!!

Lovely spot and staff but offensively overpriced, very basic food. £2.50 for a bag a crisps gives you some idea of the mark up. Shame.

What a delight this place is. Fantastic vibe and coffee. Loved the old stables converted into lively and cosy spaces. The leafy courtyard setting is great in the sunshine.

On Wednesday 17th July we picked up my sister and disabled brother in law and made our way to Port Elliott estate. After reading the great reviews we we're really looking forward to experiencing this unique venue. However, upon arrival to the entrance to the estate we were greeted by a notice informing us that there was no vehicle entry and to make sure you don't drive in. There was a car parked blocking the entrance. Well we could not believe this. Nowhere have I seen any reference to this. As there is no way my brother in law could walk to the cafe we had to turn around and give up our plans. Very Disappointing!!!!

We visited The Stables today. On arrival the cafe is impressive. A beautiful building with many quirky touches and of course interesting to see Martha’s cafe from Beyond Paradise in real life. The menu for food is extremely limited with very little choice and only appears to cater for vegetarian which is a bit of a shame. The choices of tea / coffee are vast yet the breakfast tea we had was unpleasant. Very weak. It’s clearly a case of style over substance with interesting tea pots and cups that would suit a drink of juice instead of a hot tea. We opted for a Stables breakfast which contains eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes and beans. It also comes with a veggie sausage but we didn’t want that. The breakfast was regrettably mediocre. The eggs were nice but everything else was a bit bland and lacking in flavour. The toast was bread that had spent 30 seconds under heat. I think this place could be fabulous but I would suggest a few more choices for food and if it is only vegetarian maybe some additional offerings such as sautéed potatoes, hash browns etc And no expense spared on the bread selection. Perhaps a sourdough or bloomer? The cakes looked fabulous and I’m sure those visiting for coffee and cake would be very impressed.

Fantastic venue. Lovely chilled vibe. Love the added touch of sheep skin on and blankets on the seats. Which in my view, encourages you to stay longer. Fantastic food. I'm celiac and was catered for. Coffee was lovely and the gluten free slices of cake were delicious. Very friendly staff. Great decor. Will be recommending this place to others. Can't wait to go back!

Had a lovely brunch prepared carefully as I am coeliac and nothing was too much trouble. The granola with creamy yoghurt and fruit compote was to die for! Much more delicious than I could ever describe. The scrambled egg on buttery gluten free toast was yummy too and grilled in the oven to prevent cross contamination. Delightful surroundings and a lovely gift shop completed a fab visit. I will be back next time I’m in Cornwall.

Lovely place to go for coffee, breakfast, lunch or just a piece of cake with your morning coffee. They also offer gluten-free too, I enjoyed a delicious GF tray bake with a coffee, all served with a smile and a friendly chat from the lovely girls behind the counter. Also a very nice shop to look around which sells local crafts, soaps, candles, unusual greetings cards and pottery. Well worth a visit in this lovely village. We’ll be back, … regularly! 🤗

I always enjoy a coffee and lunch here. The setting is lovely and the staff are always friendly. A real addition to the village. Recommend Peachy Tahini! Always like looking out at the rain on nastier days. Lovely shop as well with interesting books, clothes and other stuff.

Very attractive setting in the old stableyard but I wonder how they will cope in the winter if they open all year.Rather disappointed , a very limited menu ,I had poached eggs and my friend creamed mushrooms which were OK.Tea and coffee were awful .The tea was weak and the latte was most odd .The coffee was in very small cups and was not worth the £3.50 we paid.Too expensive by far .Staff were very pleasant

Lovely little find on Port Elliot estate in St Germans! Arrived a tad late for lunch so had a coffee and pistachio cake! Very nice indeed! Homemade cake! The customers before me had the soup and said it was the best they’d had! Beautiful surroundings in the old stables! Lovely courtyard with seating or indoor seating also available in equally as lovely atmosphere! Really beautifully decorated taking advantage of the old historic buildings and sympathetically refurbished! Not a huge menu but something for everyone! Staff were friendly and helpful and it’s dog friendly too! The shop sells all manner of things for home, garden, books, candles etc! Great for Christmas shopping all in one place! I can see it fast becoming a favourite! Not been open long and I wish them well! (Friday evenings from 6pm they have a Sundowner, food music to ease you into the weekend)

Tucked away in the beautiful village of St Germans this place is a hidden gem. Based in the old livery (?) of the Port Eliot Estate, you can sit in the courtyard with a coffee and piece of cake and take in the history and amusing locals! The shop has all sorts of interesting items for sale. It really is a place to sit and while away the time in the sun. Well worth a visit.

Sign posted off the main road, this cafe and shop are in old buildings next to the Port Eliot estate, large car park next door, both shop and cafe have an “alternative” look serving local breads, cheeses and cakes and other foodstuffs, books, gifts, plants etc, it is a treasure trove of interesting items all run by a v chatty and personable lady. We ate an excellent hummingbird cake and drank v tasty coffee. If you have time, I would strongly recommend visiting the really interesting church at the other side of the estate. If you plan to go look at the Pevsner book to Cornwall to get a comprehensive guide to the church.

The staff were very friendly. The hot drinks were alright and the cakes were alright. They didn't rush us. The whole atmosphere was really nice and lovely. I didn't have to raise my voice to speak to my boyfriend who has a hearing impairment which is a hearing aid.

Had a lovely meal,Rump Steak& Croft Burger, then sweets to finish. Great food and service. Shame the weather wasn't a little better as we would have sat outside after our meal.

We were on holiday and ended up eating here 3 times. We had our dog who typically was nervous in eating places so we never bothered eating out, we were given a table in the corner and asked for the same one every time which they obliged as she was settled, it helped that the staff were all so helpful and the food was so nice, would highly recommend the Pityme Inn and we will visit again, it made our holiday
