Great to see the Park Kitchen is back open, the chips and sandwiches are just as amazing as when it closed. (Because of a fire in a nearby building).

L'Ortolan was formerly a really fabulous place in a lovely setting. Sadly it is now closed and will probably be sold. On our last few visits it was looking very tired and in need of some investment and maintenance work on the building and decor. Very sadly the whole experience has gradually gone down hill, the food was still pretty good, some of the staff were excellent but the real attention to detail and the feeling of being exquisitely looked after had gone. It's obviously been fading away slowly over the years but we have some very happy memories of it in the past. Sad to see it go.

We had pizza, other items available on the menu. A really unique pizza base and delicious toppings. Highly recommend.

My sister booked a surprise birthday party for me on 9th Feb. There was a party of 15 with 2 little ones and was organised by telephone conversation by my sister in Wales. Rhys Miles and. Beth were particularly helpful but all the staff were very professional and friendly, they couldn’t do enough for us. The surprise was achieved and the food was excellent so congratulations to the whole team.

Here for a Christmas work do. Food was nice and good drinks selections. Only negative stopping 5 starts is bar maids could have been a bit happier which let down the service levels.

I went for lunch with my daughter who is four years old. We had the most delicious lunch and she really enjoyed the children's chicken shish. The fresh bread with the hummus was really good as well. Great service and we will definitely be returning with the rest of the family.

Disappointing - ordered the chicken and pasta - and red wine- Montepulciano (that was OK). Service was good, but food below average enormous piece of dried fried chicken - pasta with a little sauce and chunky bits of salad - very difficult to eat and the whole dish looked dry and uninviting - this is the third time I have visited there and been disappointed, for the price I expected better won’t be back.

Love this restaurant! Lovely food, great service and a fine atmosphere. We have never had a bad experience and it’s our local. 😊

We were a party of 8 booked a week in advance and confirmed the day before. On arrival we were shown to the rear room which was very cold and when I politely asked if there was anything they could do to warm it up a little I was given a flat no. The menus were provided and while we were perusing these we were informed that they were very short of some foods and a menu with almost half the dishes ringed in red with the word ‘Ask’a written was slapped down. We decided to leave and I explained the reason to the male member of staff who was quite rude in reply. We had dined here several times before but will not be visiting in the future.

Such a friendly and welcoming staff team, wonderful food, and great atmosphere! Would highly recommend everyone to visit!

Visited over lunch wasn’t too busy considering the park was very busy, ordered easily and quickly. The falafel sandwich I ordered was not what I expected - I was thinking the falafel would be flat with hummus instead it was whole falafel balls jammed in a sandwich- very strange and messy! Bit of a shame as not cheap..
