Cozze Ristorante in Wokingham

I was in the area so a lunchtime visit to a very good restaurant, quick service, pleasant and accommodating staff made for an easy visit. The 'Toscana Picante' is no ordinary pizza.

Another great night out at Cozze. Visited with friends for a night out. Food and service were to a high standard and we had a great time.

Always a hit in our house. Easy to walk too, great staff and delicious food. Only downside is it does get noisy in there however that’s not the restaurant’s fault but just a warning!

I wanted a bowl of pasta, and that's exactly what I got, at a fair price. However, wouldn't say there was anything out of the ordinary. There was a lot of chilli, which is fine for me. Though not much else stood out, even the salmon seemed drowned out, despite there being plenty in the dish. Weirdly the salmon, which was the most expensive ingredient was plentiful. Unfortunately the foccacia was only 2 small slices. Service was good. My expectation when paying was that I would be able to add a tip into the card reader. This is not so, which is unfortunate.

Such a lovely restaurant with such welcoming staff and talented Chefs. We will be coming back very soon, Thank you very much :)

We dined here to celebrate my aunt's birthday and enjoyed a lovely meal. Staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Food was really good and we will definitely be visiting again soon.

We've been to Cozze in Woodley several times before and once again it was brilliant. Their pizzas are sooooo tasty. We also had dessert which was amazing. The service was very efficient with orders taken quickly and food arriving swiftly. Can't fault it.

This place is great! Atmosphere is amazing, the music gives nice vibes and the staff are also really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is very good, some Italian classics and some twists, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it. Very children friendly place - my children love it love it love it!!! We are customers since the place opened and we are never disappointed! Well done to everyone who works there. The customer service is always professional and welcoming and the food never disappoints you. We are lucky to have such a wonderful family restaurant in Woodley, Berkshire!

My friend and I visited last week for lunch. The 2 course lunchtime menu has various options for starter and main course. It was delicious, great service and the house red wine is lovely!

I was visiting Reading and wanted to take my sister-in-law to lunch to thank her for her hospitality. We went to Cozze in Woodley and I'm so pleased we did. The food was absolutely first class and we enjoyed every delicious mouthful. That said, the very best of our experience was the staff. Never have I experienced such a friendly, efficient group of people. It was like talking to family or close friends. I do hope they expand their business model to my hometown in Cornwall.

We visited Cozze with our family (myself, husband and 3 children) after a day at legoland. We’d booked our table for 6pm the week before but due to issues at our hotel we were going to be late- we called and apologised - they were very understanding and said it was more than okay for us to arrive at 6.30 instead. We arrived just before 6.30 to the most beautiful restaurant, we received the warmed welcome and we’re shown to our lovely table. Drinks orders were taken and delivered quickly. Our children were provided with colouring to occupy which was greatly appreciated. We ordered shortly after and couldn’t believe how quickly our dinner arrived. The food was absolutely delicious and everyone cleared their plates! We ordered ice cream for pudding which was enjoyed by all. The staff and manager here are absolutely lovely and all made our dinner so enjoyable. Really really recommend especially if you have little ones they are so welcoming!

We have been to this restaurant many times. It is great for all, couples, families, friends. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming. The food is lovely, I wish they would bring back the mini roast potato’s that had to be an option! The pizzas and calzone are a big size!! Profiteroles and cheesecake lovely. Great local place to visit. Glad it’s survived COVID. Shame it overlooks the chequers pub.

My wife and daughter-in-law popped in for lunch without booking. The staff were very friendly and sat us down in a window table. We took advantage of the special lunch menu prices which made it extremely good value for money. We started off with a mozzarella dish, Insalata Caprese and Bruschetta. The mains were two chicken Caesar salads and Polpette al Forni. These were washed down with wine and soft drinks before and tea and coffee afterwards. The price of the meal was £56 which was definitely good value for money. The food was delicious and just the sort of size you need for a lunch time meal. We will definitely be back.

Very hot in there, no air, was so uncomfortable, pizza was tasteless. Only good thing about it was the company I was with!

We just been there after a long day of work. The risotto and the garlic pizza were very good and the waitress was very pleasant and professional.

Cozze's menu is not adventurous and it feels a little biased towards pizzas but the simple food is well cooked and enjoyable to eat. We had no complaints. The downsides are that some of the seating is a little uncomfortable and on a busy night it is very noisy. More soft furnishings are needed.

I have visited several times and it never fails to impress, informal setting but cozy with great food and service.The garlic bread was amazing and the sharer portion is great.The pizza was wonderful and thin, I ended up taking half home with more but it was so wonderful I couldn’t waste it.Great location and easy to park will be back again.

This is our "go to" Italian Restaurant which we visit relatively frequently. We had several take-aways from here during lock down and were eagerly awaiting a proper reopening. We fancied lunch an as there were not too many customers in we decided to see if they could fit us in.It was a light lunch consisting of Focaccia Bread and Inslata Capasse for my wife and I went straight for a Penne Con Salmone. I originally went for the starter portion of the Penne but the waitress pointed out the deal which was running for main meals wold be cheaper if I ordered that instead. This was all washed down by glasses of wine. Total price of the meal was £39.14. It could have been cheaper if I had ordered a bottle of wine rather than 3 large glasses but that was my fault.Considering this was not long after the reopening the quality of food and service was as good as it was pre pandemic. This is one restaurant that definitely deserves to survive these terrible times.

Superbly prepared gluten-free pasta - for me, with coeliac disease, a very welcome delight. In fact many things on the menu can be made gluten-free, so I was spoilt for choice (for a change in an Italian restaurant).

Cozze is walking distance from our home and we did get some very good takeaway meals during lockdown, before they fully opened. Now with Eat-out-to-help –out, we wanted to enjoy the restaurant itself, and we did. Mind you their phone was permanently engaged – with people wanting to book it turned out, so when I walked down to book a table, only 5pm or 8.30pm were available.The menu is heavily into pasta and pizza, but we prefer a main course with less carbohydrate. Pollo Pancetta Funghi is one of two “Secondi” and is our go to choice. Go to it we did and enjoy we did too. There is a moderate wine list, all of which are very reasonably priced. Woodley has a fairly small shopping centre, and Cozze makes an excellent contribution to its attraction.

Eat out to help out. The food is consistently tasty and the portions a very good size. We went straight to mains and shared a couple of desserts. The service was excellent. I particularly like the iced glass for the Peroni. Six of us had different pizzas/salads/pastas. All excellent and we will definitely go again.

Came for lunch with my daughter.She loved her tomato pasta and the portion was huge. I do wish restaurants in general wouldn’t serve kids food piping hot though.Ordered one of their specialty pizzas for me which tasted great.For the COVID cautious though it was bigger than the chopping board it was presented on, meaning pizza inevitably touched the table.Sanitizer available on all tables and upon entry.Menus are single use as well

As part of the half price deal we decided to try Cozze and we were very happy with the food and service in the restaurant. My boys had pizza and it was excellent and i can highly recommend the Pollo Pancetta e Funghi as it was extremely good. The only thing that let the place down was how warm it was in there and this stopped me giving it an excellent rating, perhaps harsh as it was hot outside but it was too hot in there.

Fantastic customer service, very delicious food. Just loved it. Also the hygiene was on high level, they sanitised the chairs even. Definitely will recommend

We visited for dinner having previously been impressed by their takeaway during the recent lockdown. The restaurant has a great range of gluten free options, and we able to make a gluten free version of their garlic bread starter. We would definitely visit again.

I beed few times with my friends. Very good service nice coffee nice panini, you will like their food nice. I recommend thia place for dinner or drink coffee etc.

So pleased and grateful that you are open in these awful times ordered our favourite pasta and garlic bread. Was given a 10 minute window to pick up (ring as early as you can over a weekend to get a pick up time especially if you are wanting a large order ). Brilliant system and worked really well. Had a great take away tonight . Ordered at lunch time. Easy to do . Collected at 7.20 - no one else there ( perfect for socially distancing ) food was ready good - just as nice and fresh as when we’ve eaten in . Tasted fantastic. Great value and great service many thanks

My boyfriend and I we tried many Italian restaurants as we love Italian food but none of them was as good as Cozze. We had pasta and the taste was just perfect best pasta ever. The staff made us feel welcomed and they are really friendly. We will definitely come back for relaxin Sunday lunch.

Took my girlfriend here for her birthday. Fantastic service from the moment we got there. There was a great selection of vegan alternatives and all of the staff were super attentive with a smile on their faces. Prices are very reasonable and the online voucher is a nice bonus. A great experience all round, we will be back soon!

Is this the most beautiful restaurant? No. Does it serve the best food in the world? No Are the staff the most helpful, attentive, charismatic in the world? Maybe! At the end of the day its a sugo-brit-italian with decent food and EXCEPTIONAL service!

We often visit Cozze in Woodley- as it's just 10 minutes walk away. Always a friendly welcome and children are well catered for. The staff are very attentive and the food well presented and tasty. Cozze never fails to deliver. With fantastic food, to great service. Its consistently great. The food is delicious and they offer a varied menu, with some gluten free and vegan options. The staff are lovely and approachable. We have been coming for years and will continue to do so.

I’ve been going to Cozze on and off with friends and family since it opened. The food is far superior than anything you will find from those “authentic Italian” chain restaurants and the quality is consistent. The staff, regardless of if they recognise you, are always friendly. Considering the quality it is very good value for money and they frequently run offers. Even midweek it can be busy in there.

Rocked up on a weekday evening in late June and was greeted by a very chirpy chap who we assumed may have been a manager. We were served almost immediately by a waitress who was just as - if not moreso - bubbly as the man who greeted us.

Went in for the dinner with friends and experience we get was brilliant. The manager made us feel very welcome and he and the rest of the team were very friendly and helpful. I visited Cozze in Wokingham tonight with my husband, Son and two of our friends after reading good reviews. I wish we hadn’t bothered. Our friend ordered the tomato soup to start and it smelt, looked and tasted like Heinz tomato soup. My prawns were tiny and the sauce was definitely microwaved!

We went recently for a special birthday and the restaurant did not disappoint on any levels. The service is always very good, all of the team are excellent and very friendly. Food options are quite broad and the food is always really good, very reasonably priced, fresh and full of flavour. This was a great addition to Woodley and continued to be so after several years of being open. You won’t be disappointed at all

I have visited this Cozze for both lunch (once) and evening dinner (twice). It's a great place for lunch. The food is good. At lunchtime it's a buzzy atmosphere. There is music but its unobtrusive.

After 2 hours of driving , googled a place to eat and found Cozze, lovely place, wonderful atmosphere, good food and lovely staff. Highly recommend

I went to Cozze for a lunchtime weekday nosh up. I have to say that I do struggle a bit with Italian restaurants as a lot of the food is just stuff you'd do at home, I mean, who doesn't claim to make a fab spag bol?

Portions small, had to ask for drinks for the table. The place was empty i should have known.Waiter made us feel we were a burden..we will never go back.please avoid..

Come here pretty often and it is always amazing. Even on valentines day when they were busy they were friendly and the food was flawless. Also exceptional value especially at lunchtime and a good selection for my gluten free mum too.

Been a few times. Always good service and good food. They have partially tackled the problem with the accoustics (was very noisy). Had the CICHETTI PLATTER (under Enough to Share items) as my mains - a platter of baked mushrooms, bruschetta pomodoro, chicken wings, olives, ciabatta caprina, tomato and mozzarella with a chunky pomodoro dip. Suited me fine - plenty of variety and not too filling and, as expected, delicious.

On a cold, rainy Thursday the place was packed with locals and it is easy to understand why. Charming, efficient staff create a really welcoming atmosphere that is a pleasure to be in. There is a reasonable selection of well priced wine by the glass and bottle and a large good value for money menu. Sadly the large menu is probably the main issue as two of our mains arrived over heated and dried out by the liberal use of the microwave. The chicken and ham was chewy and needed a sauce whilst the lasagna had congealed and had none of the richness of taste expected. On the plus side the sea bass was good and the starters were a much better experience especially the soup which was lovely. We didnt stop for dessert. Overall not sure we would return with such a mixed experience.

Visited Cozze Restaurant on a recent visit to Reading. Staff and the Manager were friendly and efficient and were very helpful. A good menu to choose from and the dishes we had were lovely. A really lovely evening and certainly a restaurant to recommend.

I'm sure we'll return when we have a bit more time and will make sure we book in advance and take advantage of the discount!

Went for a family meal with our two children. Nothing was a problem for them, I asked for a pizza without cheese and they offered me different alternatives. My toddler was at times a bit fidgety but they kept coming over to entertain her and say hello, she even went up to the waitress at the end and gave her a cuddle to say goodbye. Food was delicious, some of the best olives we have had in ages and couldn't fault the main. Children's menus are normally not enough for our 12 year old but the pizza he ordered was the size of adult pizzas in other restaurants. Great value for money, friendly staff and lovely food. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you

Having been to the Reading branch i thought I'd try the Woodley Cozze - it was just as good! Particularly good value at lunchtime, I could become a regular visitor!

Could have done with a steak dish, but otherwise good. Would have liked more meat dishes on the menu.

An enjoyable family Sunday lunch with simple, great tasting Italian fare including really good gluten free pizza/pasta/garlic bread options, excellent value especially when using the discount codes. Staff are friendly and efficient and there is free parking on a Sunday in the nearby short term car park. We will definitely visit the Woodley or Caversham Road branch in the future.
