Went here for dinner on Sunday, loved the food so much I thought I’d leave a review! Food was delicious and the staff were lovely and friendly! Prices were great too for the quality of the dishes. Would highly recommend! ⭐️

Tried to get breakfast advertised from 9:am got there at 10:15 to find it closed. Was very disappointed we'd decided to go to breakfast to start my wife's 70th birthday off.

Long overdue visit back to La Fontana this evening. Always a warm welcome when you walk through the door. Food is excellent, cooked to a very high standard, I had the baked stuffed mushrooms and the la diavola pizza, requested extra green peppers which were duly added. Pizza base is lovely and thin with generous toppings on top. Great menu choice for starters, mains and deserts along with a superb drinks menu Highly recommended.

Excellent place, worth experiencing their food, which is great. It's a bit pricey, the atmosphere is excellent, and there is ample space in the restaurant.

We take our young daughter to eat here frequently. The staff are outstanding, so kind and welcoming and very attentive. It’s a great location with some lovely window seats. The food is good as well, we’ve never had a bad meal in countless visits. Prices are really good, in line with the food. We love coming here, you always see someone you know as well, so it has a real local feel. Go for it, you won’t be disappointed!

No bread on arrival. Pizza was ok… nothing special, better ones at home. Staff were ok. Dessert was cold, and was provided with spoons only, when forks would be better in addition. Then overcharged on the bill… Not the best experience, and was not too impressed over 10 years ago either…will not go back.

Unfortunately don’t stay just because the floor and tables were dirty. Didn’t give me confidence to want to eat there. It was not busy and lots of staff. Seemed strange that no one would consider sweeping the food off the floor or wipe down the menus.

Amazing food went in the morning had a lovely breakfast the gentleman at the bar was very friendly and made the best coffee I'm looking forward to making this my regular restaurant

The full english breakfast was good quality, and the service was excellent, as they even went out for cinnamon for my request to sprinkle on top of cappuccino. The restaurant was quiet, which was good for us, but the atmosphere was not fair to judge. Would expect to visit again and recommend.

Had my son's 'stag do' breakfast here and I have to say that the whole experience was fantastic right from the 'welcome in' to the 'thank you' as we left.

Service was OK, I didn't enjoy the food, overpriced burger, I pay less at monkey lounge and enjoyed it more. Might try it again to see if it was just an off day.

Not much vegetarian options. The pasta was very good. Sauce was lovely. Pizza base was average. Falafel was tasty but tiny. The dip was very bad. The potato starter was ok. The girl who served us was very sweet. The place was not crowded so it was quite relaxing. I might go back.

We live in Guildford but never hesitate to make the trip for a wonderful meal. Staff very friendly and accommodating for food requirements.

Came here with some friends and had a great time 😊. I've been a few times before with other people, and the service and food have been exceptional. Will definitely be coming back here in the future.

Great place to go to for meeting up with cousins for Sunday lunch. The roast turkey was excellent!

We had been tryiong to get to Henley to watch the regatta from the river and got a train to Twyford. However there was a problem as there were no onward trains to Henley for at least an hour, and taxis were charginf large sums to do the jouney so we went into Twyford town , where at first we could not find anywhere we wanted to eat and then found this place. It has old fashioned decor but an extensive menu. The portions are very generous and the food good, One of us had tuna steak which came with rice and vegatbles, and the other had meatballs with garlic bread, the garlic bread was the size and shape of a pizza. We did not need a dessert as it was filling and we thought it good value £4.50 for main course sides, and two hot drinks.

Always a lovely place to eat, including for vegetarians. Love their tapas and mezze. And they cook a great tuna steak!

What an excellent Italian restaurant.we dined there new year's eve lunchtime 15 of us .food and service 5 star. Highly recommended. Will use again

Great place for brunch, the English breakfast was plentiful. I had the poached eggs on toast, they were lovely fresh eggs, poached to perfection☺️Been here twice now when we have visited Twyford and would definitely go back again - shame we live so far away ☹️

Would have got 4 stars but I hate service charges added to bills tips should not be added and paid by choice. Meatballs were nice the other people had penny with chicken it was nothing special so it was a lot of money for a bit of pasta.

We took our grandchildren (8 & 10), for tea today (14Aug). Having read previous reviews, I can only say that, although the food was very enjoyable, today must have been an off day as the service left a lot to desired. I should mention that on arrival the restaurant was empty apart from a table just leaving and a family of four who had arrived just before us. We waited at least 10 minutes to order drinks, then for them to be served, before placing our food order. The portion of garlic bread requested for our grandchildren was forgotten and when finally brought to the table was the size of a Victoria sponge which Mary Berry would be proud of. I explained that it was only for the grandchildren but the response was just that “ yes they are big”. I felt this should been pointed out when ordering as I had specifically said it was for them to share. At no point were we asked if everything was ok or if we wanted more drinks. We all finished our meals and some 15 minutes later I had to find a waitress to request my grandchildren’s dessert and I assume clear the table, but no. I requested a box to take home the rest of my pizza and three quarters of the garlic bread, to be handed a box and left to deal with it myself. Still the table was not cleared and the box was balanced on top of the plates. Another 10 minutes or so and, again, I had to find a waitress to request the bill. On both occasions they were all standing around talking. Service was added to my bill but I’m afraid to say I asked for it to be removed. Not something I have ever felt the need to do before. I am disappointed to find myself writing this review as I know the restaurant has a good reputation in the village. I’m not sure if the waitresses were new but if so, maybe a little extra training wouldn’t go amiss.

Enjoyed a very pleasant Sunday roast dinner of gammon and turkey with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, green beans, carrots and parsnips with gravy. Delicious and excellent value and service to celebrate my sister and brother-in-law's 51st wedding anniversary. Recommend.

I got some takeaway pizzas and I was really disappointed. I wouldn't call them pizzas. The dough was chewy and the ingredients were poor quality. Customer service was good.

We have been going to La Fontana for years and it is without doubt our favourite local restaurant. So many times we have received incredible service and so many thoughtful additional touches that we thought it was time to show our appreciation and let others know! The staff are incredible, go above and beyond with a warm authentic Italian welcome, this combined with incredible Italian food at a very reasonable price and relaxed atmosphere make it a stand out favourite!

Always a fantastic time. Staff are welcoming and warm, and the La Fontana Pilsner is a great choice of beer. Small issue with the spinach on the Prima (I think) pizza being rather soggy, but everything else was spot on.

My daughter and I had dinner here on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was very cosy and welcoming on a cold evening and the staff were just the nicest we have ever encountered. The food was all delicious and the service amazing. The prices are reasonable too. We left feeling really good about the experience and will be back soon.

Had a mid week lunch here during half term holidays. Never been before but would definitely visit again. Very clean, friendly service and good food. Lots of options for the children who all enjoyed their food, even the picky one! I had a panini which was also tasty. Great value for money too.

We love la fontana and have been going for years. The staff and owner are always very friendly and the food is so fresh. I even have them make an off the menu pizza as I like it extra spicy. Definitely recommend.

We came for a meal on a Saturday evening and when we arrived, the place was full. However it seemed as though it was a lot of families that had eaten early and within about half an hour, the restaurant was a little less frantic. We ordered and got some drinks and soon, the starters arrived. I had calamari which was good. Then, for no reason I could see, we waited another 75 mins for the main courses to appear; they weren’t complicated dishes so I can only assume we’d been forgotten. Also, no service with regard to more drinks. To arrive at 6.30 and not have mains served until 8.15 loses 2 stars for me, even though the food was good. We don’t live in Twyford but family that do will be put off by poor service and will not come again.

We've had 2 fantastic lunchtime meals,warm atmosphere, friendly staff quick service&wonderful food. We will make it our go to get together restaurant. FANTASTIC PLACE👍👍👍😋😋😋

Always loved this restaurant and missed it so much during lock down. The breakfasts are fantastic as are the dinners. I always enjoy the pasta dishes, pizzas and tapas. The staff are out of this world with their friendly welcome always, even when they are...

We needed a good meal in a hurry and La Fontana provided exactly that. We were made very welcome, served quickly and efficiently. The lovely pork belly with a fabulous rich sauce was delectable.

Friendly staff but sadly overpriced and food was not good. Steak was only ok and boiled potatoes were soggy, overcooked.

Had takeaway last night, which was good in parts and bad in others. my Chicken pasta was great, but the side of chilli potato taspas was awful basically old warmed up potatoes in a sort of tomato slop with a few peppers... I have had this dish before and it has been lovely , the potatoes wore fried and crispy and the sauce was great.. last night was not a patch on this. Also ordered a butterflied chicken dish sadly this leaked out of the container.. it came with some fresh veg that were overcooked . Have to say the chips were good.. and the whole thing was very hot.. maybe I was just unlucky with the tappas....

Lovely mozzarella salad, prawns and chicken dishes. Own pilsner very nice. Staff very nice and attentive! We also enjoyed takeaway over lockdown

One of the best in Twyford! We came here during the week for a meal out. The staff were extremely friendly and greeted us when we walked in. The selection of food is incredible. The food itself came out quickly and tasted amazing. The choice of drinks, especially wine, was great. Highly recommended place to visit for a meal.
