The best restaurants serving Default food in St Mary's Test Valley South East

My friend and I were bitterly disappointed with this restaurant. The service was average but the food was a huge disappointment. The starters were lovely so we thought the mains would be promising. We both ordered Thai green curry and coconut rice. I asked for my curry to be mild which they said they could do. When the food came out mine was completely white as so much coconut milk had been used and my friends was as runny as water. The coconut rice was just boiled rice with desiccated coconut on top. Both curries did not taste nice. We didn’t eat our mains and after some discussion we were only charged for the starters. In my view this is poor customer service! Would not recommend this restaurant.

I booked a table for two just the day before and had the most delicious lunch. The Manager was very welcoming and attentive when necessary (which it wasn't!). The waiting staff were delightful, polite, discreet and at no time were we rushed. Our lunch was mouth waveringly good, a real treat, perfect proportions and it was lovely to have a brief chat with the chef on our way out. Thank you very much.

Looks and feels like a pub, with comfy seating and fireplace, but the food was amazing and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Had a great meal here.

What a wonderful place, I went in and asked if they could make 18 éclairs for a birthday cake. They were so helpful and the éclairs were some of the best we have ever had. They were very substantial and well filled and the chocolate on top was very generous. I really recommend this establishment and will definitely use again. I've also hade some of their delicious cakes and biscuits while popping in and they are also very delicious.

Great modern look with the same welcoming staff and good value for money as ever. Thoroughly enjoyed my lunch there and will make a point of dropping by more often.

You should not be fooled into thinking this is your usual bus kiosk Costa coffee shop. In fact it has THE friendliest and most accommodating staff I have come across. As well as a warm and comfortable environment, the coffee is far better than other Costas I've been to. 4/5 stars for Costa but 10/10 to the staff!

Good food good service. Normally perfect but this time the potatoes were slightly undercooked for my liking. Still my favourite Sunday roast in the area.

First time we’ve been here for a long time. We didn’t book ahead but the staff were very welcoming and sat us down. The service and food were excellent. We will definitely recommend and will be back.

Warm and welcoming traditional pub with a good array of well kept beers (and of course spirits and wines). Dog friendly and an outside area to sit on sunnier days. Do check out the board to sign up for the Thursday food nights and different events.

Booked a table for four a few weeks ago for Thursday before bank holiday Friday for our 20th anniversary. In just over a week before this, they inform us they no longer can seat us that evening but have the Weds and Sun available, with no reason why. We cannot commit to these alternative days due to work schedules, hence why we wanted the Thursday evening and booked well in advance. Very unprofessional.
