Been coming here for over a year. Used to be really good service and food. Has declined over time. This time we ordered and both got food poisoning. Sadly won't be coming again.

An absolute hidden gem in Andover. Easily one of (if not) my favourite place to get food. Delicious and very well priced. Staff are really helpful and friendly and if you're just passing by instead of taking away you can seat at a table and eat. If you haven't tried it there you definitely should!

Brilliant food and friendly staff, yes a bit on the pricey side but for the amount of food you get can't complain!

First visit to Tama Chulo. The venue is tucked away along Shaws Walk. The food was very tasty and you get a large amount for your money.

Very dry food! Try it fir yourself. You leave the food on hot plate all day sure will dry up.

Fancied trying something new so went with this place and I have no regrets! Will be ordering again because it was delicious! Andover is a sleepy town and I was bored with pizza/kebabs etc., this was an extremely welcome change. YUM.

Spicy Potatos are okay not cooked all the way thro garlic chicken is the best thing and veg noodles..... Its spaghetti not noodles won't be going here again.. Not worth the money

We have been toying around the idea of having a meal from here for quite sometime. We have a number of Gurkha friends who have made us momo dumplings and curries before and we have sampled curries over the years whilst serving so we were really looking forward to a tasty meal. So disappointed, my pork and Pak choi curry had no sauce and no Pak choi, my meal was pretty much rice. The platter of momo were hard, chewy, flavourless when they should be light and fluffy, the vegetarian platter was substandard with bitty onion pyaji and soft samosas. Really not happy, would not have again and at £50+ far too expensive for tasteless food! Shame!

Absolutely wonderful. Popped in for a casual Saturday lunch - you can order off the full menu and there are some tables downstairs where you can eat your food. Lots of variety on the menu, with meaty and veggie options. Staff were very friendly and food was delicious, especially the momo platter. Will definitely be back!! Didn't take any photos of our food because I was greedy and starving and dug in immediately before thinking to take a pic for this review.

Missed a dish on our order that we collected. When called wanted us to Return to collect. No apology. A shame as never had any issues before.

The food we ordered was terrible, some of the worst we have had from a takeaway. The black bean curry was way too over seasoned, horribly salty. The chips were so loaded with sauce that they were practically mush. The food also arrived well over an hour after ordering. On one positive note, the delivery lady was very friendly.

We ordered for the 1st time this evening on recommendation and it did not disappoint! We throughly enjoyed our whole meal and especially the steamed mo mo's. Tasty delicious food and very generous portions. Looking forward to ordering again soon

We have used Tama Chulo a few times now as the food has always been very good however the last few times we have used them there have been things missing from the delivery such as sauces, sides, and drinks. The last time we ordered they were kind enough to add one of the missing items from a previous order to this one. However, they missed out on other bits and so for the money paid it's very disappointing. We will give them another try to see if they can complete an order correctly, if not we will look elsewhere.

I was seriously surprised this has such high ratings. The food although reasonably tasty was completely drenched in oil. There is just no need for that amount of oil, ever. This food would cause a heart attack if eaten regularly.

This place is amazing. No shortfall on lunch size, and the quality is exceptional. Highly recommended.

Nice little place. Ordered from the main menu (Pork Curry, steamed rice and Chicken Dumplings) food was cooked fresh and was delicious. Portion size of the curry was a bit small. But food was great all in all. Some of my friends Ordered boxed meals which also looked good.

One of the best takeaways in Andover

Our favourite takeaway in town. The food is just amazing and the dinner boxes are such good value. Make sure to get the onion pyajis on the side though- they are divine!

Best Nepalese takeaway in Andover. Great authentic Nepalese food. Portion size is very generous and food quality never fails. Price is reasonable too and staff (there is always this female staff at the food counter) very friendly, smiley and efficient. I miss the sitting area upstairs though. They were so cosy yet spacious and charming.

Been working in Andover all week. Been eating some pretty crap food saw these on goolge and saw momos on the menu!! Got excited and for good a reason too... absolutely outstanding. Was very busy when i was waiting they are definitely doing something right... Just try it and enjoy.

Only recently found this place after a friend recommended them. My friend was right - the food is amazing! The staff are very knowledgeable about the dishes which put me at ease about my choices. I'm looking forward to my next visit already!!

I went there around 12.15 this afternoon… the food was always great no doubt! But I am so glad they have someone so awesome now for customer service. I hope the owners cherish him! He was such a gem. From start to finish, it didn’t even feel like I was at the old Tama Chulo before. Thank you so much for having someone who actually converse with customers. I wish I got his name.

I had never actually visited Tama Chulo before, but it had been highly recommenced. We ordered two large dinner boxes - one meat and one vegetarian. The food is absolutely amazing, and they certainly don't scrimp on the portion size! Ordering online was easy. The restaurant is very clean and the service was excellent. Loved it so much, I went back the following weekend!

Food was great , although the take away packaging didn't keep the food warm.

I had the Sukuti chowmeim and Sukuti which were way too salty to the point where I could not distingiush between food and seasoning (i.e salt) - I would not recommend, sorry. However the steamed momos and samosa's were nice, and home delivery was great, thanks.

We tried this place for takeaway for the first time today and....what a find! Their food is delicious and different and the meal box portions are very generous. Best of all is that the staff are so friendly too. Really lovely experience, if you haven't ordered from these guys before then please give them a try. The dumplings (momo), are especially yummy.

Having worked with the Gurkha regiments in my 20s and eaten lots of traditional Nepalese cuisine, I can hand-on-heart say this is most authentic and delicious Nepali food I've had outside of living in Brunei! We can't stop going back for their momos and aloo dum! Generous portions and really reasonable prices too!

Great tasty food. I ordered sharing plater and sukuti last week. For me sukuti is to die for. It was 1st class. Had sukuti in various nepalese restaurants but the one in tama chulo is the best so far.

Simply outstanding! Mo mos were soft and delicate with delicious filling. All our other dishes were equally yummy. Super tasty and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend this take away.

First time trying and it was great! Sampled a lot of the veggie dishes on the menu (quite a few) and they were all fantastic. Nicely balanced and punchy flavours, plus the delivery guy was lovely! Big portions so great value. Will definitely be getting this again.

Supposed to be a 45minute delivery.. took 65minutes after chasing them. Meat platter was dry, over cooked. Forgot the side egg fried rice and side salads. So had to call them again they redelivered. Not very impressed as this is the first time I had used them. Not again. Not recommended.

I ordered a two large box meals. One was Vegetarian. Staff were really friendly and very helpful. The interior was spotlessly clean. The food was faultless, tasty fresh and was a good portion size. The chilli chicken was really tasty and tender, the veg box was a real hit with the vegetarian in the house. I honestly cannot recommend this enough, you will not be disappointed. Try it, forget your kebab or other regular take away....give it a go.....

We got a takeaway from this place for the first time this evening and I literally don’t have a bad word to say about it, other than I feel completely and utterly stuffed because I couldn’t stop eating it! We got two dinner boxes, some masala chips, pork momo and chicken wings, the food tasted so good and fresh and it arrived in 30 minutes. The lady who took my order on the phone was really friendly, as was the gentleman who delivered the food. I would absolutely order from here again and highly recommend everyone to try it.

I went with my two teenage sons and had the most lovely evening. A member of staff (i'm so sorry I didn't get her name) recognised we were new and asked if there was anything on the menu we needed information on. She was amazing. As was the meal for all three. This restaurant has dishes I have never tried before. My starter was based on Nepalese street food and had a wonderful crunch My main was a traditional Nepalese dish based on prawn curry. My popadom went soggy because it was served on top of steamed rice. The mango lasse was heavenly.

Upstairs restaurant in a passageway off the High Street. Attractive dining room with tables nicely spaced. Started with a meat sharing platter for two, followed by a Royal Gurkha Thali and Mixed Chowmein. All excellent and keenly priced. takeaways available. Service was attentive but discreet, cheerful and helpful. Will return.

Very tasty food from a nice simple menu, in a place with a very nice atmosphere. Personally I like my meat a little rarer, but that's just me. Could do with some more soft furnishings to absorb noise, as it got quite noisy as people got into their evening.

We arrived at the restaurant to a less than happy restaurant staff who seemed not at all interested in us.We had to prompt the waitress to serve us drinks which she did in a less than enthusiastic way.Ordered starters which turned up at different times with about 20 mins between each dish.Waited again for more drinks before actually getting up and approaching the counter where the staff were to ask for another bottle of wine.Main courses came out with the waitress just mumbling what each course was so that dishes were mixed up.The food arrived in slightly warm dishes which ruined the food which was very nice.The staff here seem very young and so under trained in simple skills,I’d even say that one staff member seemed like he didn’t want to be there at all!!It’s our second visit after a similar experience the last time and will not return.

Tama Chulo does filling lunch boxes. It is a paired down version of their evening meals. It is very filling. If you are a vegetarian then you can find something to eat. The rest of the menu is chicken based but its a filling meal with a drink and well worth the money spent.If you are in a wheel chair its on the ground floor so you can wheel in and you can sit at seats in the restaurant. It was a Christmas treat and i loved it.

I have been to this restaurant many times but finally managed to get some time to leave a review. The decor of the place is amazing and creates a very good ambiance. its good for dining alone, with a friend/romantic date or in large groups. The staff are always smiling and helpful. The food is delicious accompanied by fantastic customer service, i will be back again and again.My favorites are the platters that they offer and curry with Rice.

The setting itself is very nice, tucked away and quiet, the inside is nicely decorated. Our waitress let down the meal really, we asked questions about the food which she didn't know the answer too, for example we asked what the different curries were as they don't have a description. She told us they were all the same except the spricyness level, so we ordered one mild and one spicy. When they came out they were totally different, the mild was a very strong cinnamon based curry and the hot was sweet and tangy. She also didn't know what vegetables came with some of the mains. She was rude and clearly didnt want to be there. Our food came out in parts, my rice was 5 minutes later than the rest of the meal so had to send back my main to get it reheated. Personally I really enjoyed my starter and main however the rest of the table were very underwhelmed by the quality of their food. Shame this place has potential, need better food descriptions and more knowledgable staff.
