As a take-away: unravelled/ the best! As a sit-in restaurant: Good, but service a but... mixed at times, but the food is outstanding and big portions.

Had take away from here loads of times and it's been great each time. Food tastes so good and is always delivered piping hot. Staff are good on the phone and never had any problems ordering. Will definitely visit in person and see if it's just as good.

Delicious fresh tasting food. Price point was average - it was very good food and we'll get another takeaway from there. Had the house special rice which was packed with chicken, prawns, pork, beef, fresh veg and rice. And the hot and sour soup was wonderful.

First experience here on a Sunday afternoon, I must say I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Nice and quiet, great service, and such lovely food that set me up for the whole day 😀 highly recommend the bbq roast pork and chicken with cashew nuts *yum!can't wait to visit again.

It was my first visit to this restaurant although my wife and son had visited before. The exterior of the venue looked pretty disappointing, however, the warm welcome, beautifully cooked food, superb value for money and excellent service, were all truly outstanding! I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant to all Chinese food enthusiasts!

Completely messed my order up wanted me to wait half and hour to swap incorrect items and wouldn’t re send the whole order ruined the whole meal for everyone NEVER AGAIN

From the outside appearance I admittedly entered with caution. The less than salubrious location wasn’t encouraging. Even immediate impressions of the inside of the restaurant left a sense of intrigue as it looks a bit like a tenants sitting room. However the service was excellent and we were swiftly welcomed to a table. Drinks were offered and delivered and within 10 minutes we were enjoying a very large platter of starters. The food was well presented and tasty (except the spare ribs, very fatty). A Duck course followed the starters and very soon we were full even before the main course. Main courses were nice too, certainly plentiful!! The young staff members made a few mistakes when serving the food but their demeanour was lovely and they tried extremely hard. We enjoyed our time at the Buddha and would definitely go back.

Had a takeaway best place never disappointed but this time the sweet and sour chicken balls were the worst ever.The batter was very thick and the chicken dry and hard even to put your fork in to pick them up so sad threw the rest had two away eight in the bin, sorry put us of having anything again

I went out with family for a birthday meal and it was incredible. Staff where helpful and happy, and just before we left they put on the 'happy birthday' song as well as a scoop of ice cream with a candle on top. Overall a very good experience.

We came here to celebrate my husband’s birthday as it is a favourite place for all my family. Once again an absolutely delicious meal. Food is perfectly cooked, always piping hot when served and the menu is extensive. We truly do not think you can beat this Chinese restaurant for flavour and value of food. Friendly and attentive staff as always.

We've been going to Budda over the last 10 years and have been ordering take away too. We've really enjoyed our meals with them. The quality of the food has deteriorated over time but the all time low was the last time we ordered. We ordered various items and one of them being sweet and sour ribs. When it arrived it was like it had been defrosted in the microwave. The sauce was warm and the meat was cold. We warmed up the food again thinking it might be ok only to be violently ill through out the night and the following day. Subsequent days weren't great. Luckily we did not give any of these ribs to our little one otherwise I would have taken things a lot further. We've been there for lunch and seen that the tables were set for the evening service..the sauce with nothing to cover it. To leave it out the whole day!

Hadn't been here for 20 odd years and it didn't disappoint. Five of us had the eat all you can menu and very pleased to see it's still cooked fresh to order. All of the starters, the crispy duck pancakes and mains were really yummy and will definitely be going back there 😋

Popped in here at last minute on Valentines evening, didn't think we would get a table but were made to feel welcome as always. Services always fabulous, very friendly people here. The food as delicious as always. The restaurant was decorated very nicely for Valentines Day, very romantic!

Went for the buffet and it was really good, comes out fresh, hot and tasty. The orders are brought out to you and you can have enough for the amount of people seated at your table, many choices available for starters and mains! Staff are friendly and there are prawn crackers waiting for you on arrival.

Food is great as usual. Service good, especially the lady. Do begrudge paying for another full adult when my child is 10 . Under 9 is kids. Especially as my 10 year old eats like a bird! Over £100 is a lot of money for 2 adults & 2 kids 10 & under. Especially as no one drinks alcohol either.

Went on a Sunday lunchtime. There was a large party already there, so the staff were very busy. But the food was still great, service was good but it did feel a little rushed

An excellent find, as we don't live in the area found this gem on line it was the best Chinese we have ever had the price was very reasonable and the staff very efficient will certainly visit again if we stay near.

The food was lovely and the staff were warm and friendly. The eat as much as you like offering was great to try lots of different foods in reasonable portions. The atmosphere was relaxing.

Have been a customer since we moved to Andover 7 years ago, and Buddha was our go to Chinese restaurant. However, the quality of the food has been deteriorated. We ordered vegetarian noodles which had more of a burnt taste than fried plus very oily. Ordered a special fried rice without pork and received with pork. 2 of the 4 dishes ordered were not edible. Although we wanted to take it back, we didn’t as it was an additional journey for an already tiresome day. Portion size is generous, yet it’s pointless if the food is inedible. Gave 3 stars for the efficiency of service.

We had a mixed starter that was full of tasty goodies, followed by the duck pancakes, which was fantastic, and then each of us enjoyed a main course that was fabulous. The staff were very helpful and attentive, giving great service.

Popped in after seeing reviews online. We are not from the area but are in the area for the week. They were fully booked but we were able to be squeezed in as we got there pretty much when it opened. The food was delicious, and the all you can eat menu is brilliant value for money, the quality wasn't lacking either and staff were very attentive and prompt with the food. Would definitely recommend this place!

Pick anything you wish and as much as you want for a set price, and everything we had was very yummy, all cooked great served straight to the table, with very good service. Looking forward to returning, highly recommend

We were on our way to Stonehenge and found this one. Me and my chinese husband are very selective with our chinese food, so we were a bit sceptical at first with this one as usually chinese restaurants outside the main city of London are not so great, but..we agreed that this one is as good as many good Chinese in central London! Although we were there just 1 hour before closing time of their lunch break before the dinner (2-5pm), but the waitress was really accomodating and nice. We finished right on time with happy bellies! 😊

Been going there for years for our takeaways, however standards and consistencies have fallen far from what we had become accustomed to. Fed up with the poor quality of food so time to move on. Service has always been exceptional though.

We were on our way home and fancied a Chinese takeaway, so checked Trip Advisor and Buddha seemed to get good reviews. We weren't let down as it was one of the best Chinese takeaways we've ever had (and they didn't use the same sauce for ever dish !) Every dish was excellent. We even got two complimentary dishes (far better than the usual bag of prawn crackers). We were extremely impressed and it's just a pity that we don't live in the area. Oh...and the staff were charming as well, very welcoming seeing as they had literally just opened the door and were trying to get things ready. We would highly recommend this place if you like classy Chinese food at a reasonable price.

Love this place. Been coming to the Buddah for years and the service, quality of food and atmosphere have never been less than perfect. Staff are patient, prompt and fantastic with fussy eater kids. They're Allergy conscious and it's always clean and hygienic.

Family dinner, suggested by my son. Food with excellent and plenty. Service was very good. We will be back.

Very good food, good quality and good service, the staff were attentive and kept checking if we wanted more of each course, the price was very reasonable also, what with my beautiful and engaging company I had a brilliant evening.

Went as soon as restaurant opened @ 5pm on a Sunday without booking. Staff very attentive and explained everything to us as we hadn’t been before. So much choice! We both had soup, then were offered a selection of 7 appetisers but declined that and had only 2. The duck pancake course next. Everything piping hot on hot plates. Kept being asked if we wanted more of anything or anything else . We ordered main courses which are actually “full sized” . Chicken in mango sauce was my selection, very tasty. I tried very hard not to leave anything but the last strip of chicken defeated me. The restaurant remained quiet but very busy on the reception with customers collecting takeaways. Will we be back……..of course!!

Currently still sat in my car waiting to collect my order that was supposed to be ready 35 mins ago! No organisation and not in a hurry to chase my order when I went in to see what's happened to it! Seems that the Buddha are quick enough to take your money but not too speedy with their food...Will be the last time I use the buddah I think as not like it used to be 😔

One of our favourite restaurants ever. The service, food and atmosphere are amazing. The selection of starters are the best, but beware as you will fill up and not get to experience the mains on offer.

High quality all you can eat buffet delivered from a menu of 100 items, portion sizes are the right size to try lots of different items. Plenty of choices from Chinese to Thai dishes. The staff are wonderful, polite & friendly, restaurant is clean and comfortable to dine in. Sit in buffer is £19 at lunch or £23 in the evening, you can very easily eat that amount worth. 90° turn from the street door to the inner door that's a bit awkward for wheelchair users but determination and few people to help and most manual wheelchairs should get in, electric wheelchairs won't get in. Parking is bays outside the parade of shops in a residential street, didn't see any blue bays and we had to park a fair way from the nearest dropped kerb and we caused an obstruction to traffic whilst in the road trying to reach the nearest dropped kerb. Used Buddha for takeaway via lockdown but this was the first time as a sit down customer and definitely not my last

Best food I've ever had 100% best service and extremely clean

We went as a family, two adults and two children, for an all you can eat menu one Sunday lunchtime. We were celebrating one of our children's birthday. The service was timely and the waiting staff were polite and attentive. The food was freshly cooked to order and tasted so good we all rolled out of the restaurant after our visit. Would definitely recommend. Book in advance advised.

Lived in Andover 23 years, first time trying this restaurant. Woah, did not expect this quality of flavors and food, if you've not eaten here you need too, had 5 different dishes and every single one was incredible, flavour profiles that you would expect from a Michelin star restaurant. Delivery was fast and food was beyond hot! Thank you to the incredible staff and team for a dinner that didnt dissapoint, vis-à-vis exceeded expectations.

£15 a head for an all you can eat lunch (cooked to order) what an absolute bargin. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Food it the best Chinese food I've ever eaten. The restaurant is also incredibly clean. Highly recommend a visit.

The best Thai/Chinese takeaway/restaurant in Andover. Tasty good quality food. Also has a formal dine in restaurant/buffet which i have not tried yet but only ever hear food things. Plenty of local parking on street. MY GO TO CHINESE / THAI TAKEWAY!!!

At a competitive cost The Buddah in Andover offers some fantastic food, with some of the most friendly service I have experienced. I recommend you try a dish you haven't had before, you won't be dissapointed!

It is all too easy to hurl criticism at restaurants. Try as one might, it is very hard to find fault with this one. The staff are friendly, the service is excellent and the food is an absolute treat. Outstanding value for money. Only fault is that the online menu does not have descriptions of the dishes. A trifling point. We have returned on a number of occasions and enjoyed each visit.
