Food as good as it used the lady serving was a bit rude every thing was Very greasy. The starters were for example then I had duck pancakes they where cold should be steaming hot

This was a takeaway. Having been a customer for a very long time i have to say no more. The food was atrocious. Ribs were like 2 weeks old. Chicken balls were so tough with such thick dough i chucked most of them away. The rice!!...how can you even muck up egg fried rice?? So dry it was inedible. The only good things were the pork in black bean sauce and the tofu but even these won't make me order anything ever again. Such a shame as this was my favourite chinese in Andover and its steadily gone downhill but this last meal has hit rock bottom!

Here with friends and family for my birthday celebration. Excellent service from friendly staff. There were those amongst us that hadn’t eaten Chinese food before but were very impressed with the variety and amount served. We’ve been before and will come again. Thank you Tycoon for making my birthday memorable.

Beef in black bean sauce,like rubber ,chewed and chewed. Orders were wrong,despite being v clear. They seem to live by the 1 size fits all 24.95 per head menu,which isnt clear whether you can eat as much as you want. In which case the £187 we paid for 4 adults and 2 children(£13 each) and only 2 bottles of beer...is a rip off. Can an average person eat £25 worth of food!

Son’s birthday treat, had the mix and match menu. Great value and so much choice. For a set price you can order whatever you fancy from the starters and mains and as many dishes as you want. Great flavours, Friendly staff and wonderful service, despite being very busy. We often have their takeaway but this was the first time eating at the restaurant, a really enjoyable evening out!

My partner specifically ordered dishes without mushrooms, as She cant eat them. When they arrived they had mushrooms in. She had spent the time on the phone asking for no mushrooms in three of the ordered dishes. Upon ringing the restaurant the lady offered to recook the dish, however by then the rest of her food would have been spolit. Its a shame as we have used tycoon many times, however its not the first time that mushrooms have had to be picked out! We sgall now use another local Chinese in the future as the service was substandard and quite frankly fell short of what was expected.

Really great food and reasonable in price, our go to Chinese buffet. The staff are lovely, really kind and attentive. Would recommend!

Not too sure what to say about this place. It is very confusing. One thing for sure... It's not really Chinese food. It's an English version of what Chinese food should be. Starters were terrible. Sweet seaweed, dry ribs, really bad satay sauce, greasy prawn toast with no prawns. Duck was as dry as it gets but the mains were acceptable. Squid in black bean sauce was a stand out. Avoid tea smoked chicken (unless you like chicken that tastes like donuts... Yes... Donuts). Overall it wasn't great but I don't think we'll get food poisoning. One big positive - the staff is lovely. They don't really know the dishes but they do their best.

I'm sorry to say the food was mediocre. The sweet and sour pork was bland. The egg fried rice was lacking in egg. The shredded off the bone duck had a huge wing bone in it. It was all a bit of a let down :( Nothing terrible, but not as good as we've got from other Chinese restaurants.

This restaurant is amazing, what fantastic food and great service. We had a Valentine’s meal here and boy, was the food very delicious. Very reasonably priced as well, you definitely won’t regret coming here.

Love this place, food is top notch absolutely delicious. Staff are great, very friendly and welcoming and speaking to a few regulars they all say the same thing that they love the food and the atmosphere.

Dreadful in every sense of the word. Had a table booked for 7pm, not offered drinks for at least half an hour. A further hour for starters to come out, and 9.30pm for mains to come out. Most of the food was cold, incorrect or just tasted disgusting. £26/27 per person is extremely expensive for what you get. The plates are quite literally tiny (like tea cup saucers), we had 3 of those each (adults), which would have barely been a normal full size plate of food. Service was slow and we spent long periods waiting for either drinks or food.

We order here often and never have any issues. The food tastes good and is always ready for collection, everyone is really friendly.

Ordered a takeaway this evening We've just received our food, it was nice and hot, but the quality and flavour was very poor. We ordered kung pao chilli chicken, chicken in black bean sauce , chips, roast pork fried rice, capital spare ribs and spring rolls. The roast pork was like rubber and was inedible, the chicken was tasteless the ribs had been reheated from last night's service as were the chips. We've eaten at the Tycoon many times over the years and have had the accasional takeaway but never again. Most of the takeaway is now in the bin. Very disappointed and a total waste of money.

A delivered takeaway that was exceptional. Nothing about our meal was less than superb. I even called to thank them and their chef. Tycoon is currently producing the very best in Andover. Thanks Jeff

5 adults all with a broad view of good quality food so this is praise in itself to this small but very friendly efficient run place, all dishes ordered from the A La carte menue 5 very different starters and mains every one top notch in flavour presentation and portion size. Do not hesitate to book if you know your cuisines you will love it if you dont you ll be one of the disatisfied who have left questionable reviews not experienced by our visit.

It's a great place to do takeaway or eat in, they are friendly and serve decent food. Ordered 30 mins prior pickup and all was done by the time arrives to pickup. Even got free prawn crackers. Ignore yhe bad reqievs and give it a go, everyone restaurant have ups and downs and bad days.

My first time at Tycoon and I was very impressed, the staff where friendly and very pleasant, the food was amazing we had a sharing starter which was so so good , then after that came the pancakes the shredded lamb and duck was amazing, after that it was main course time after looking through the menu and what a choice wow , the main was so good as well , the service was outstanding and couldn’t fault it , the price for all we had plus drinks was great value, I will be back in the near future ,simply a lovely place to go and great value for money

Have been using the Tycoon for 20 years and has mostly been great but last meal has been very poor. Starters very greasy, sauce on the ribs so sweet it made my teeth hurt. Mains were substandard. Pork in black bean sauce which i always order as a takeaway was awful. Never been served it like this...pork was so hard and chewy i couldn't eat it. Veggie option of spicy bean curd was good as were the black pepper mushrooms. Such a shame though Table of 4 ladies sitting next to us was very loud and not sure my 15 year old autistic son appreciated them talking about their sex lives very loudly!

It’s just not worth the hassle of booking, waiting for a table and it’s so small that you feel like you’re having dinner with the people crammed in there like sardines.

We pop in to Tycoon a couple of times a year and it’s always great. Really good value menu if you are hungry and good quality beer on draught. Friendly, attentive service. Very much recommend over the many other average Chinese restaurants in the area.

Takeaway, I thought I would give this place a try, although service & prices were reasonable the food was awful & resembled, well I leave that for you to decide.

Over charged on 2 occasions. Takeaway delivery late and wrong when it came. Phone was disconnected while talking to them. Won't be using them again.

We have been here a few times in the past but not in the last year or so. Unfortunately, it felt that the quality of the food had gone downhill, yet the price had gone up. I say that, the food was not bad, justaverage. Whereas before they had really good food. Servicwas great and they were so friendly.

Thought I would try this take away as was told it was good. I was very disappointed, I certainly won’t be a returning customer. Food was not the best

I've had dinner yesterday at this restaurant, the portions are small, the chicken was stale or undercooked.they forgot to bring us everything we asked for.Things have changed for the worse since last time we ate there. TOO EXPENSIVE! DON'T GO! WORST RESTAURANT I'VE SEEN LATELY!

Minimalist portions of any food you order...also you order something and get totally something else when ready. PLEASE AVOID ! Expensive too and not so tasty comparing with other Chinese Restaurants 👏👌

Tried the Tycoon for the first time Yesterday evening, Firstly the Delivery time was stated to be around 1/1.5hrs but unfortunately it took around 2hrs, so at this point I was hoping the food would be worth the wait. Where do I start, the Shredded Duck was cold and flavourless with lots of fat, I don't mind fat on my Duck but even for me it was too much, I only received 5 pancakes with my Duck, it was a 1/4 ( other Chinese Restaurants offer 10). My Ribs were so fatty, I expected a bit of meat on the bone but had hardly any. The chip's were cold and overcooked, Egg foo young was cold and flavourless. Noodles were okay but hardly any flavour. Such a shame as I've seen lots of good reviews so I thought I'd try The Tycoon but unfortunately won't be trying it again..

Very poor food. Lemon chicken was so dry it was uneatable, ordered egg fried rice and delivered boiled rice. Crispy seaweed was not to usual standard! Very disappointing!

Most importantly the food was delicious and highly recommend! A few negatives, first we were overlooked for ordering by a table that came in after us. We were not explained how the menu works. The plates for main service came out hot 20 minutes before food received so pointless having hot plates. We were not asked if we wanted further drinks. So from our experience the service staff were not as good as they should have been, but as I said, the food was delicious!

A lovely warm restaurant with very attentive service. So busy that we had to eat upstairs, which is a little quieter and lacks a bit of atmosphere. But generally lovely, and the food is great 👍🏻

Stopped here for an evening meal and so glad I did. The place was almost full which is always a good sign. The set meun is a very good idea and there's so much food on the menu. I had a pre starter, soup,duck wrap and then a very nice main course which was tea smoked chicken also have a very spicy vegetable dish . The staff are very friendly and helpful

We have not ordered from Tycoon for a while so tonight was a return. We had a telephone order for delivery and we are so please we did. Order taken with a smile and small changes accommodated with no problems. The thin noodle king prawn chow mein was spot on. Very happy and please pleased to recommend to others. Jeff

After a dire experience at my Inn I wandered the town and was going to return next door after my last trip - they were full and what a piece of fortune! Recommend the set menu - bottomless effectively and very good 5*

We were visiting the Andover for a night away and went for evening meal, it’s a fixed priced menu, £21.95 per person and you can eat as much as you can fit in! Crobra was £5.80 a pint. The restaurant itself is very dark, buts it’s an old building. The do have air con so it was a nice temperature The appetisers and duck was fantastic, the main courses were a bit of a let down. Staff were friendly, service was quick. We would return if in the area but would have seconds on the appetisers and duck.

Delicious Chinese food served in this little restaurant with soft Chinese traditional music. I have dined here with friend and we have shared several plates from starters to the mains with duck, chicken, veggies, rice, peppers, noodles, etc. Drank beers and I have appreciated the atmosphere around us. Reccomended in town.

Food: Normally Chinese food is great when in a restaurant, way better than a take-away, but this was just plain bad. Sorry to say but i'll say it again - just plain bad. Service: Sunday night, lots of things going on, end of the week maybe? But come on...please just be there now & again to get the next course....or a drink.... Overall summary: 4 adults, £113, bad grub & service, never again.

It was packed, service good "Mix & Match" menu £20, starter did not arrive, eventually got it Chicken Satay, chicken was vastly over cooked, sauce was nondescript, Peking shedded duck dry, small pieces, no taste, pancakes, dry, shredded Lamb, dry and again very small pieces, not sure if it was lamb, prawn Scehaun good!!, Chicken in lemon sauce, good, veg dish good. I just hope that all the other guests had a better meal. Total cost £43 nearly a total waste.

Traditional Chinese restaurant with fixed price menu. Great flavours and not the overcooked dishes you sometimes find. Good wines too a bit light on European wines, but there is a really well chosen Chablis.

Lovely place, always got takeaway but looks a great dine in atmosphere. Takeaway food is delightful and staff are always friendly and quick to serve.

Lovely people running a great little restaurant with oodles of charm. The building is very olde worlde English but the food is very good modern Chinese. Peking Duck (called 'Crispy Duck on the menu) is available without pre-booking and the pancakes and cucumber and spring onions are replenished as many times as needed. Lots of choice to suit everyone.

Good authentic food, good service

Looking forward to revisiting with a group to sample more of the ‘eat all you can’ menu. What I have tasted so far was very nice, the staff were very friendly. Cobra on tap which was good to see but it could have been a bit colder and a little more lively. Very busy with take away so seems very popular. Will definitely visit again
