We were staying locally and came here for dinner. Food was excellent and a good selection of options. Both had starters - Chicken satay and jerk prawns. For main we had pork belly and monk fish with Pak Choi and a creamy coconut sauce. Really nice flavours and decent portions- too stuffed to look at dessert menus. Service was good and felt looked after. A little on the pricey side (£77 for 2 with an alcoholic drink each) but not too bad, especially for the quality and portions.

We booked a table for Sunday lunch and upon arriving and walking into the main bar, we were given a very cold welcome bordering on rude by the 2 ladies behind the bar. We ordered some drinks and were told we’d be taken into the restaurant soon. We were seated at a table just as you went in, which was very tight so as other customers came in we were knocked. The bizarre thing is the two ladies that served us were the same two that has given us the cold welcome. It was really was bizarre as they were delightful and welcoming, we did wonder if they both had identical twins.

Stayed here with work earlier in the year and it was brilliant! Staff were super friendly, the room was immaculately clean, bonus point for the rubber duck in the shower! Bar team were lovely, really faultless service. Will be heading back!

Terrible misselling. Our voucher from our children said, "immerse yourself in the sumptuous surroundings of the Thai restaurant..." We were put in a dark dungeon, below the bar, kitted out like a Moroccan restaurant in the 1970s. The steps down were uneven with no rail and very dim lighting. It was dirty, which is shown in the image of my wife's jeans after, as she rollered these as we left our home. This gives a concern that this was over the food too! There are mirrors all over the place that must be clean... These were not! The tables were between a coffee table height and a table and I was sat on a child size very uncomfortable chair. The actual table top was not connected to the base and nearly toppled over when I put my arms on it. The menu did not look like Thai food, did not smell like Thai and definitely did not taste like Thai. Having been to Thailand 4 times and taken Thai cookery courses with Thai chefs (both in the UK and Thailand) this was nothing like a Thai meal. I'm not going to go over every dish as life is too short! But, surfice to say, it was totally disappointing. Absolutely disappointed from start to finish. After an hour's drive each way we feel like we've been conned!

Having banger hours to kill in the vicinity in a Friday afternoon I decided to take a look around some Midsomer Murders filming locations and popped along to the Six Bells. At the time of visiting it was very busy with lots of locals introducing themselves to the very recent new landlord and landlady, both of whom were very friendly and welcoming. At the time of visiting it was not possible to order food as kitchen equipment was in the process of being replaced and catering will start in the coming days. That’s a very fair reason and new business owners often can’t get everything going perfectly from day one. A garden at the rear along with an outdoor area at the front makes this the perfect place to be for a summer’s evening drink. The venue and toilets were clean and I wish the very best of luck to the new people running the establishment. Hopefully the food will be great as the local butchers popped in to introduce themselves and their trade.

A very pleasant cafe with outdoor seating in the picturesque village of Dorchester on Thames, just outside Oxford. Parking is easy and there are horses and llamas to see in a neighbouring field. The food is tasty, well presented and reasonably priced. My salt beef sandwich was excellent, and my wife enjoyed her chocolate and walnut cake. The village and its abbey are also worth a visit.

Stopped at this cafe for lunch. Very warm and friendly welcome from all the staff. We sat at a table and ordered food at the counter. I had the tuna melt panini & chips, washed down with a great cup of tea. The panini was filled to the brim with tuna and delicious melting cheese oozing out the sides. Served nice and hot. The chips were lovely and chunky. Very reasonably priced. Toilets nice and clean - all on one level. Plenty of tables inside and out. Although this cafe advertises bike nights, you should not be deterred if you don’t have a bike. We arrived in a car. The atmosphere outside was buzzing with friendly, relaxed bikers chatting, drinking and eating, The lovely cafe is also dog friendly - so even furry customers are welcomed 😁 The cakes & cookies ladened out in the display cabinet looked amazing too. We will definitely visit again.
