We had a quiet family dinner with small children at the George on Monday evening and could not have had a better experience! I can say it was our greatest pub-style restaurant dining in a few years: very tasty and well-presented food, cosy and warm atmosphere, friendly service, and all at a very good price. Now we want to return there for Sunday roasts!

28 Upper High StreetA local treasure - really delicious breads and pastries. This has become a regular for us and it doesn’t disappoint. The team are really friendly and accommodating - we asked if they could make almond pain au chocolate and they were more than happy to.
