Stopped at this cafe for lunch. Very warm and friendly welcome from all the staff. We sat at a table and ordered food at the counter. I had the tuna melt panini & chips, washed down with a great cup of tea. The panini was filled to the brim with tuna and delicious melting cheese oozing out the sides. Served nice and hot. The chips were lovely and chunky. Very reasonably priced. Toilets nice and clean - all on one level. Plenty of tables inside and out. Although this cafe advertises bike nights, you should not be deterred if you don’t have a bike. We arrived in a car. The atmosphere outside was buzzing with friendly, relaxed bikers chatting, drinking and eating, The lovely cafe is also dog friendly - so even furry customers are welcomed 😁 The cakes & cookies ladened out in the display cabinet looked amazing too. We will definitely visit again.

I have lived in Abingdon for 30 years but have never been to this place the reason is it does not look to inviting from outside, i gave it a go a few days ago as i was starving. It is a bit of a biker place, dunno why they do that seems daft as it will put a lot of people off. Inside its a whole lot nicer until you meet the staff, non communicative, not grumpy but not what you expect in hospitality. Then the food its just all over cooked not just the eggs every thing is just over cooked so everything tastes bad.

After reading the MCN review I wanted to check this motorcycle cafe out. What a disappointment. The coffee can only be described as cheap and nasty, presume it was some form of bargain instant. The sausage baguette, why oh why do cafe owners serve low cost pap masquerading a meat sausages ? They were frankly of a level I would not give to a stray dog. Put your prices up and buy from a local butcher please, I’m sure you would see less bad reviews and most people wouldn’t mind paying a little extra. The baguette bread was good though, hence instead of 2star I went to 3. My mate had a sausage and bacon baguette and threw the sausages away and wished he had just had bacon. We were surprised that at lunchtime the place was virtually deserted, perhaps we were unlucky or other bikers eat elsewhere and just go there for the bike nights? A real pity, the owners have a great position with the infinity motorcycles next door, and the cafe interior is pleasant enough. They should perhaps take a ride up to the Super Sausage to see how it should be done. Sorry H - I really wanted to like your business!

"Exactly as I had hoped it would be". This was an unscheduled Pit Stop for me as I was gently scratching around the lanes of Berkshire and Oxfordshire and passed the H Cafe, spun round and popped in. Loads of bikes at 1pm on Sunday, as you would expect. Great meeting place. A Full menu on display, although just had a coffee that was Very Good quality. Friendly and smiley staff. Clean restaurant. Clean Toilets. Acceptable decor, although not studied in detail, as sat outside to get the measure of the people in the place and its was spot on for a Biker and Cafe. As a biker who started out on FS1E's and DT175's, its the atmosphere I want, not a fancy fit out, so great to see the H Cafe is trading well and is in good order. I will be back for a breakfast soon to check out the grub.

Good if you're just stopping for a quick drink/brew while on the bike but wouldn't bother with anything else. It's only got a 2 star rating for hygiene which doesn't bode well. Shame as the front of house staff are friendly and polite but the kitchen lets the place down.

What a let down. Have been past many times and always wanted to stop then finally got the chance. Ordered the famous five which is expensive for 1 sausage, 1 bacon, 1 egg. It took ages to arrive yet they still managed to under cook the egg and the white was liquid. Bacon had more fat than meat. Cheap watery baked beans. It came on a child sized paper plate with plastic knife and fork. £2 for an instant coffee in a polystyrene cup. Table was sticky and other tables not cleared even though it wasnt busy. Rationed to 1 tiny salt sachet and 1 non brand ketchup. No wonder this cafe in a prime position is empty at 10:30 in the morning

It is exactly what it is. For those of an age to remember the great British transport cafe this is a real treat. Good food at good prices with a steaming hot mug of tea or coffee. Having had to hang up my bike helmet owing to dexterity problems it's a real treat to see all the bikes and bikers that visit. This is the kind of cafe I used to rely on when I was commuting long distances on my bike. (In the old days, normal cafes didn't want 'biker types' lowering the tone of their establishments). One minor drawback - the loos need a good clean and spruce up. Other than that, take it for what it is. Enjoy a good, old fashioned full English.

What you see is what you get, and what you get is lots of good, well-cooked food, served on a real plate with hot tea served in a real mug. It's not expensive and even when busy the wait is never too long. We have always liked the food and service in Harvesters. Always been loyal customers. However, our most recent experience was not great at all. The place was busy, the salad bar was quite empty and the food took a much longer time to arrive which we could excuse as a one-off. But some of the food was not cooked through unfortunately, which believe it or not, again we sort of excused as staff apologised and replaced it. What we cannot overlook however was the menu has changed and unfortunately all the tasty parts of the food have been replaced with hard, tasteless freezer food. Prices have gone up too, which is understandable but they should not have messed with the quality of the food. The chicken, the hash browns were not soft and succulent as before. The nice onion ring was replaced by hard and cold cheese jalapeño rings. Totally different food experience now. We are not going to go back in a hurry, let's just say. Really sad as we did like frequenting it over the last few years.

I love this place, I hate the fact that people treat restaurant like this as a sandwich place where they can get their food in 5 min, must change your mentality otherwise use Waitrose or get your pack lunch and sit on the main site, always happy to be here, very friendly people and delicious food, will always come back.
