Great pub in ladygrove , I rung up a couple of weeks in advance if they could keep a cake by for my grandmother's birthday 🎂 and arranged on the day . Was impressed by results , I'd like to thank Daisy , a memebwr of staff for bringing out the cake and singing happy birthday to her it really made her day , also great food and service 😀 100 % recommended, great fair prices too keep up good work 👏

Fab little pub. Staff are lovely and welcoming. Always get a smile and a wave when Declan sees me walking through the doors. Food is cheap and weekday deals make it cheaper! Would recommend popping in for a cold drink and some food if you're ever nearby :)

Great and speedy service, although it can get a bit busy. The food is good for the price, and there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with some screens throughout the pub. Beth was super friendly and had a nice chat while serving us, so definitely a good impression!

Visited while on vacation. Beth was our server and made it a great experience. If I make it back that way I will visit again!

It was a return to an ex local; ex caused by poor previous landlord. We were warmly welcomed by staff and landlady and served after only a short wait due to a large group in the pub. Food was served promptly and hot. Really good afternoon was had.

Food has improved greatly over the years. Specific deals on Mon-Friday. Good atmosphere and friendly locals. Service very good. Every time I go in I tend to be served by Abi who is always a friendly face and efficient.

Food was lovely, great to have warm plates everyone in party enjoyed food. Only down point not many bar staff so waiting to be served and plates not cleared or a push for dessert.

Went for a walk in the area with my dogs and stopped off for some food and cold drink. Staff are very friendly, very relaxed about dogs and offered my girls some water which was lovely. Really nice place and would go back again.

Ordered the ultimate chicken burger, clue was in the name really as it was HUGE. But delicious! Fast service on food and lovely customer service and attitude from Declan who served us 😊.

Amazing atmosphere for the football! Brilliant food, the kebab was just what we needed to keep us going throughout the football! Staff all friendly and went above and beyond! Aziz & Daisy superb job! Will be back

Went in for a lunch deal on Wednesday, very strong portion size and tasted great. Server Declan was very helpful and patient with us.

No fish, no mix grill , no onion rings for the hunter’s chicken still charged same price ,very little salad so meal was to dry to finish. Very disappointing won’t be recommending to friends or family

Looking forward to our meal At The ladygrove. 18. June . 12.00 lunch. Three adults set out from Kidlington. To journey to Didcot. Special promotion coupon 30% off mains nice. Placed our order at the bar. Looking forward to our meals. 1 Hunters chicken. 2. Cheddar Leek and potato pie. . Plus starters etc. After our starters our mains arrived. . My partner cut into her pie and I took the lid of mine. What a unhappy surprise. What were those big bits oh yes. Chicken with a lurking mushrooms. Thankfully we do not have allergies. Not what we ordered. I went to the bar to ask an assistant to look at our pies. They apologised and took the plates away. They would bring replacement as soon as ready. Another assistant came over while we were waiting. Asked. Can get more drinks while you are waiting. Talk about up selling. Shame we were not offered. Complementary drink or dessert. No wonder the place was all most empty. and need to offer coupons to get customers in. The replacement meal was very good chips just right. .

Been here a few times to eat and just to socialise. Food is always good, kids selection is great. Staff are always lovely and welcoming. Will keep returning.

Sometimes it’s quiet but when it’s a great night it’s a great night. Sandra, Dec, Abby Keenan, mikey, Robin are always polite and helpful. The girls and boys who glass collect are always polite and Sasha always says hello. Even when they are rushed off their feet they will endeavour to make you feel welcome.

Here to watch the FA Cup and in for a few early ones. Always great atmosphere and New Landlord is doing a great job! He is very busy running bar and kitchen today and it has been a seamless transition. Really nice food coming out and the banter is good too. My go too pub as comfy and welcoming, highly recommend a visit and all the staff are all lovely.

I have been attending the pub quiz for nearly two years now and I have to say that in the last few months the quality of the food preparation, service and the quiz night have improved significantly. My only gripe would be that it occasionally takes a while to get served at the bar in the lounge as it's not always staffed..

Nice to see the place back to normal. Much better experience all round compared to 7 months ago.

Love the quiz on Thursdays, reasonable prices, nice inside, TVs inside and outside for live sport. Good dining / pub separation

Could be a great pub. Let’s itself down by not recognising that people notice things like no ice for their drinks and a toilet, that has no natural ventilation, had no ventilation because it does not work, ie mechanical failure. Health department should be called in to have a look and see if the establishment is safe for the (pub)lic. Not impressed. Be responsible and make sure a cocktail that needs ice has ice, because you sell them, and the toilets are not a home for disease. Wake up Marstons.

Waiting too much, 20 min at the bar for order food. Good prices and taste food. Nice and friendly staff.

Grabbed a pint and had a few games of darts, while I was in town, visiting a friend. Good Guinness, nice punters and good atmosphere.

I was met by by a smiling, polite and welcoming member of staff. The real ale was amazing also the food was brought out quickly considering the pub was extremely busy. Also on leaving the same barmaid that first served me shouted thank you and goodbye, I believe her name was Abbey.

Great time here! Free quiz on a Thursday, food was nice pub grub and the drinks were good. Pool table plus darts too. The bar staff were fun and really made our night!

Lunch on a quiet Thursday at midday was excellent. The place was very clean and the food was fantastic and great value.

Considering busy and told food was a 40 minute wait, it didn't seem that long, food was hot, and delicious.

We pop in on a Thursday for a couple of drinks (no food hence no rating) the barstaff are always friendly and always on hand to help, abi in particular is very good and will quote our order before we get there (sign of a great barmaid and pays attention to customers)?

Went here for mother's day, and was presented with a review card from our server Robyn. The service here was great. We were gifted free daffodils to take home, and was seated quickly. There was a straightforward mother's day set menu, with affordable prices for a 3 course meal. When ordering food & drink at the bar, staff were friendly, polite, and happy to accommodate. Drinks were also reasonably priced and well stocked. Once ordered, food arrived promptly, with the only negative being the roast vegetables were overcooked for people ordering a roast, which wasn't surprising due to the nature of preparing that kind of meal for the masses. Overall, this pub is great for a casual family meal out that doesn't cost the earth, and where the staff are happy to help/serve.

The food was not good at all. We had the roast dinner. The vegetables were watery and apart from the potatoes the meal was luke warm. No horseradish sauce which was advertised as an accompaniment. The meat portion was so small.
