This cafe is really good. The service was prompt and friendly. We had a wide choice of dishes on the menu. While the food was prepared we had delicious coffee. The items we had chosen arrived well cooked/prepared and presented beautifully. The food was very tasty. Will be going there again, soon, hopefully.

Really disappointing service. We waited an hour for food in a half empty cafe, in full view of the staff. My wife who had a different viewpoint could see some food waiting in the kitchen and it transpired it was ours. The food was nothing complicated - it required no more than heating through. When it was served mine was tepid.

We had a lovely relaxed breakfast sat outside one morning. Lovely staff who are so friendly and polite, nothing was too much trouble.

Lovely little cafe, been here a few times now for breakfast which is nice with good quality food. The only let down on the breakfast is there isn’t any beans! But nevertheless it’s a nice breakfast. Need to either book or get there early as it gets busy quick and the staff struggle to keep up.

A very pleasant cafe with outdoor seating in the picturesque village of Dorchester on Thames, just outside Oxford. Parking is easy and there are horses and llamas to see in a neighbouring field. The food is tasty, well presented and reasonably priced. My salt beef sandwich was excellent, and my wife enjoyed her chocolate and walnut cake. The village and its abbey are also worth a visit.

This is my new favourite Cafe, proper food cooked well. Really reasonable prices . We had a lovely Waiter who helped make it a really good experience on a rather dull day .

The service was phenomenal. I’ve never had better service in my life. The staff were incredibly friendly and the Barista that served me was so professional. The food and drinks were of the upmost quality and I’d highly recommend anybody walking past to pop in

recently opened , this cafe is based in a farm that is being reinvented as a destination in its own right. Ambitious plans for holiday accommodation and to support the village. If you want to visit Dorchester Abbey it is just up the road. On our first visit I tried the venison and farm pork scotch egg and it was delicious Best to book a table, if it is wet it gets very crowded as the dog walkers all need to come inside. It is not that big a place and i think their success has come as a bit of a surprise. Seating was a little in need of cushions but it is work in progress. There is parking outside and the toilets are also in a block next door - all on the same level. They have alpacas too - you can book an alpaca walk with these cute animals.

I went last month to the takeaway section of the snug . I couldn't really tell what they were selling due to no signs with what they were selling and prices. It was quite busy and the staff were quite stressed out . They didn't seem to have anything to write your order down so the staff missed one of my items. The main farm was great, we went for the lambing event but there was a lack of signs so it was quite confusing.

2 adults and a toddler all catered for, the food was really high quality and delicious. Really nice surroundings for a walk, and views of farm animals and machinery. Our toddler was absolutely thrilled with the farm vehicles passing by every few minutes! Sadly no room for cake because they looked amazing.

Everyone has issues from time to time, it's how you deal with them that counts. We go to the Snug a fair bit, it's one of our favourite places for lunch, this was the first one where it wasn't great. It was super busy & think there was a problem in the kitchen as nearly all of the light bites were "off". The bread of my sandwich was a bit stale (first world problem, I know). I complained & they replaced it & refunded it. Thanks guys.

We were told on the phone that cafe closed at 5pm. We arrived just before 4pm to a sign saying the cafe was closing at 4pm because of an event. It was already shut btw. We looked around the farm and couldn’t see any lambing as promised on the website. Not even sheep. We did see a few alpacas in the distance and a few other lost looking visitors.

Difficult one this. It was packed with very happy customers when we arrived, the staff are really lovely and we enjoyed our food, which consisted of two very generously filled sandwiches and some chips. In fact the sandwiches were so unexpectedly large we really didn't need the chips shared between us. So why difficult? The problem we had was with the menu. The sandwiches were priced about right given their size and presentation, but the selection of fillings was odd and very limited. There was also a section called light lunches and I couldn't see anything on it that I would fancy for lunch. However, the biggest problem for us was the pricing of their light lunches. With an average price of £15, that is the upper limit of what I would expect to pay for a main evening meal at (say) a pub, and considerably more than I would pay for lunch, particularly one descibed as light. What was missing were items such as jacket potatoes or large crunchy baguettes, full of prawn marie rose, or tuna etc for around the £8 to £9 mark. So it is good that this cafe is dog friendly and because of that we may have a look in again sometime in the future in case they have sorted their menu out and improved the lunch menu, but sadly it doesn't work for us right now and we will continue to go to other dog friendly cafes in the Wallingford area that serve the sort of lunch we are looking for.

We liked the cafe and surrounding walks so much that we came twice over two days. Had a lovely breakfast and cake and coffee. Great to be able to see all the animals too and walks directly from the farm. Hopefully the farm shop area will get bigger and offer fresh produce soon.

Turned up without booking but still managed to fit us in with just a few minutes wait to clear a recently departed table. The food faultless, the coffee amazing, and the alpacas roaming outside were a lovely added bonus. It was a dull wet Sunday made better by the warming log burner and cheery attitude of the waiting staff. Will be going back but maybe an idea to book next time.

Parking is a nightmare. Very limited menu trying to be posh. Not at all child friendly. Food was very average for the price. Coffee was at best ok. Would I go back? NO!

I absolutely love this place, and so do people that I bring here. It can get very busy, so sensible to book. It’s really friendly, the staff are great, and it seems to bring the best out in the customers. My friend and I were chatting with people on other tables, and had quite a laugh with the staff. The food is fantastic. Jam packed with flavour and a lot of it is locally sourced. I had a carrot, cumin and lentil soup, which came with a 3 cheese toastie. That was followed with a delicious coffee and nut cake, washed down with plenty of coffee. Thanks to everyone involved, we shall be back very soon. Oh, I nearly forgot the alpacas! I’m obsessed with them 😃

The food is great. Someone in the kitchen knows what they're doing here. Their efforts are being squandered in front of house. We went for Sunday lunch and the serving staff appeared to be part-time. Lovely young people, but hardly looking to make a career in hospitality. Yes, I know it's not The Manoir ... Michelin starred and all that. But to arrive and not be spoken to for nine minutes - that's just poor skills. There used to be a TV comedy character Will Humphries played by Hugh Skinner in W1A a mockumentary about the BBC.

Great lunch, really friendly team. Thanks so much. Honest lunch without all the jazz and bling you can get from other local restaurants and pocket friendly.

Nice cafe situated in the old bank. Staff are always pleasant and nice choice of cakes. Tea nicely served in pots on wooden trays and cakes nicely served on wooden platters. Reasonably priced. Tiffin cake was nice but a bit stodgy. Very dog friendly with free doggy treats. The cleanest toilet ever! Unfortunately there was an overpowering background chemical smell in the cafe. Would definitely visit again.

First time at the Red Lion and if they keep the quality that they had today, it will certainly not be the last. From the lovely touch of having an old book to show my table was reserved, the beautiful artichoke soup, the perfectly cooked lamb, one of the best I have ever eaten, hardly any fat and just the right amount of gravy, the seasoning that was spot on and not the over salty trend that has hit so many good pubs in Oxfordshire. Hold on to your chef and lovely young team please! This was truly a sensational Sunday Roast, served with a smile. Ps cherry on the icing, being greeted by the scent of an open fire on arrival!
