I go here often for Coffee excellent coffee and very friendly environment. Would strongly recommend anyone to go here.

A great find and a well deserved cuppa after spending the morning exploring the lovely town of Battle. Friendly Staff and dog friendly.

Cute little care with a children’s play area. My husband just popped in to get us coffees and came out with a raspberry vegan croissant & Bakewell tart. Both the treats and coffee were lovely. Staff were nice and friendly.

Thank you so much we had my friends baby shower on Sunday and it was absolutely fabulous wonderful service beautifully decorated. Nothing was too much trouble and the afternoon tea was amazing. I would highly recommend. Thank you. Bluebells tea room.

Had a lovely meal here on the 1st December with some of my friends who I used to work with & the food was superb. The staff was excellent, very friendly & extremely helpful. Highly recommended for a night out at any time of the year Superb All Round

If you’re considering the pilgrims rest as a venue for your big day….DO IT! Do not hesitate!! It is honestly the most beautiful and special place, it just has the wow factor as soon as you step inside the gorgeous big wooden front door! It took our breath away and we booked at first sight! First venue we visited too and I am so glad we did! We opted for an Apres Ski themed winter wedding and it was spot on!!! The decor they have in there was beyond perfect and beautiful! Amy & Waverley are just saints! They couldn’t have been any better, the whole wedding party was raving about how hard they worked and always with a smile on their faces! Amy was my main point of contact and she was a star throughout the whole process! Answering my millions of questions and giving very helpful guidance on absolutely anything we needed! She literally made the whole process so less stressful and a lot of fun! We are so so glad we chose the pilgrims rest! Our guests said it was the most amazing day and they adored the venue! Went on a week day evening, only one other table of people so nice and quiet. Restaurant nicely designed and staff very friendly from the moment we got there. Place easy to find despite all the traffic works going on ATM. We had the set menu for two as we couldn’t decide what to eat and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing 🤩 all reasonably priced as well. Big shout out to the young girl who was our waitress she was very professional polite and great at her job (sorry didn’t catch her name).

The lady who served us was excellent and couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The food however was dreadful, we were the only 2 eating in there and my order was wrong. I didn't want to make a fuss so I kept it but the chicken was so tough I couldn't even cut it up. It felt like a frozen chicken breast that was cooked quickly. The male bartender was rude and said i was just moaning because I'd ordered the wrong thing and we over heard that. Would thoroughly avoid. My partner's roast tasted frozen too. Terrible experience .

We had a lovely meal here, the restaurant is beautiful inside and out and the staff were very friendly! Our food was delicious, there’s a good range of drinks/cocktails to choose from and everything is reasonably priced. We would definitely come back if we visit Battle again!

Our second visit here and both time we found everything just great. The staff are always friendly and attentive and the food really well cooked and plentiful. Definitely go again!

Thank you Railway. I have very special dietary needs and most restaurants struggle to cater for me. Not only did the railway make me a beautiful meal, they were able to not make me stand out like other restaurants do. The food was absolutely gorgeous, all fresh seasonal veg and the menu covered all pallets. The staff are beyond helpful and the landlady and chef couldn’t do enough to be attentive and meet our needs. This is the only local restaurant I will be using for the future.

We had a great steak dinner over Christmas in Trinity of Battle. Delicious food! Excellent service! Warm and cosy atmosphere next to a most beautiful Christmas tree ever.

Gemma really looked after us, reserving a table on a busy night, and serving us drinks within the happy hour. They don’t do food but allowed us to bring a takeaway pizza in. Great atmosphere and great pub 😍

Mandys cheese and bacon turnover is the best I've ever had, excellent ingredients and the thickness of the bacon prefect, my sister had steak and kidney pie and said it was delicious. They did a drink and hot food offer. They made our dogs very welcome with a sausage. We had a massive cake to take home to share. Will go again soon and highly recommend it.
