Beautiful hotel, easy access to the city center by bus, free parking, very friendly staff

Stopped by for drinks with family during our visit to Oxford. Highly recommend, great little pub with a lovely atmosphere. Micky, the landlord, provided great service and contributes to this welcoming atmosphere. The pub has a big tv for sport and a variety of board/card games!

Delicious meal for a very reasonable price. I had the pesto pasta and a flapjack. Always friendly service too!

I've been coming here for years but never written a review, however after last night's outstanding service I felt inclined to. We came for pre-comedy gig shots, and post-comedy gig drinks. In true bartender fashion (something you don't get in big chains) the wonderful chap behind the bar (I'm sorry I don't remember his name, but I remember he liked rum!) did birthday shots with us and made us the most delicious tequila based cocktails. The vibe was excellent, the service was outstanding, the drinks were delicious. Highly, highly reccomend

Visited whilst in the covered market today, neither me nor my new husband had anything to eat for most of the day. We purchased a vegetable samosa, a lamb samosa and a slice of spinach and feta filo pie. An hour later after eating his lamb samosa my husband came down with food poisoning.

I was there with a family group to remember and celebrate the life of my Uncle. Super organisation in a lovely place with a brilliantly thought out and well prepared menu.

I booked their private room, which is advertised as being able to accommodate 16. We had 15. And though I suggested to inspect the room beforehand, they countered with the suggestion I can see it on the day of the event; and half an hour before guests were due to arrive. I was advised they would coordinate seating arrangements and I provided these arrangements well ahead of time. On the day, I arrived to find no seating arrangements and the table layout completely different to earlier indications. The room was too small to have a holding area for pre-dinner drinks, a fact not clearly communicated. Also, the service fell far short of what I thought I might expect. And though I provided feedback without asking for any compensation, the restaurant - rather than taking it on board - countered suggesting I was mistaken in my perception of their service standards. This is incredibly disappointing for the kind of establishment they suggest they are on their various media sites. I would not recommend their private dining option for any discerning hosts who are keen on making sure their guests are well looked after.

Such an enjoyable lunch, enhanced by excellent service and the most delightful food... of course the superb wine selection available as a glass, large glass, carafe and bottle helped. Fantastic experience which I would recommend to anyone looking for something done differently and extremely well.

Pedido, entre otras cosas, plato de pollo. La carne estaba cruda y fría. Tomó la comida como comida para llevar y volvió al día siguiente para hacérselo saber, no como queja, sino por si alguien se intoxicaba con alimentos. Dejé mi nombre y número - todavía no sé nada de vuelta ¡No volveré a ir allí!

Great place to sit, if only one could. Takeaway only STILL after the pandemic. Time now to open properly.

fabuloso pub realmente encantadora comida . . y el pesebre y el personal eran tan encantadores . . Tenemos el autobús del hotel parado al final de la carretera de la plantación y a 4 minutos a pie Está fuera de la carretera principal nos sorprendió gratamente Recomendaría Hay un poco de jardín también, pero no nos aventuramos a esto ... pero pudimos ver las luces que parecía encantador. Sin duda volvería Chili era encantador

Have been here a few times and is consistently good. The atmosphere is great, the menu is diverse and the options we’ve tried have all been delicious. Would thoroughly recommend Branca. Also the fantastic staff make the experience even better

Reservé el almuerzo para mi esposa y para mí para celebrar mi 80 cumpleaños. Recibí una confirmación efusiva del “Senior Restaurant Manager” reconociendo que “cumpleaños muy especiales”. Pedí una hamburguesa Gees medio rara. Llegó raro. Fue quitado. Mientras tanto, mi esposa estaba comiendo su curso y tuvimos la inoportuna situación de que ella terminara y mi reemplazo no llegara. La segunda vez de alguna manera siempre carece de apetito atractivo a pesar de que se cocina como se pidió originalmente. Me comí la mitad. El personal de servicio era encantador y carecía de los conocimientos necesarios sobre cómo tratar con un cliente, especialmente en su "cumpleaños muy especial". La gerente de turno finalmente llegó con su primera pregunta ”era todo lo demás bien! ” Le conté de la ocasión y parecía asombrada, claramente no informada o lo había olvidado. Por el lado del crédito, la hamburguesa fue borrada de la factura. Mi “ocasión muy especial” estuvo marcada por un helado con una vela insertada. Si mi experiencia hubiera sido buena, se planearon más celebraciones en Gees. Estuvimos allí por última vez hace 29 años y pasarán otros 29 antes de volver!
